Y'all know how this goes… Posting runs August 8 through August 31, 2023. Stores must be completed by August 31, 2023. Incomplete stories will be removed following the challenge. However, they will remain on your profile. Feel free to add them back when they're done!

IT'S HERE, IT'S HERE!

It's a very special time in the *NSYNC fandom. We like to celebrate special events with a fiction writing challenge and Awesome August is, I must admit, one of my faves. Please help us celebrate the birthday of one Joshua Scott Chasez with stories about him (or his bandmates/friends) through August 31!

You know the rules! Stories must be COMPLETE and must feature a member of *NSYNC! No word minimums or maximums, and it's fine if your story is part of a longer series but the challenge submisison must be a complete story. Also... crossovers are welcome!

As an added bonus (read: BRIBE) authors who submit entries will go into a drawing for a prize pack of GiRL WERE YOU ALONE NSYNC PODCAST Merch Goodies! Holy crap and shineola, right?! We're BACK! I just could not pass up the opportunity to celebrate my fave's 40th with my good pals here at the archive. What better way to celebrate than to invite you all to invoke the muse and submit new stories to the archive??? YEAH!

AWESOME AUGUST IS BACK!

Here are the guidelines for Awesome August:

* Stories must star an *NSYNCer as the main character.

* Any Genre is fine. Crossovers are a-okay.

* Stories must be COMPLETE by the end of your featured day.

* There is no length limit, but we ask that stories be at least 1,000 words.

* You MUST post your story on your given day. If you will be unable to do so, PLEASE LET US KNOW so that we can fill your slot!

* Signups are open until the month fills up. At that point we may double up on some days, but not until the month is full.

* REMINDER/HINT: JC's Birthday is AUGUST 8th. Signups for that day are UNLIMITED. Anyone who wants to write a story featuring JC is welcome!

Joining this challenge is easy as 1,2,3.

1. Pick a day, any day in the month of August. Challengers are limited to TWOdays for this challenge until we get closer to August 1 and need to fill up days.

2. Send your date of choice to us via email (awesomeaugust@nsync-fiction.com) or via twitter ( @nsyncfiction).

3. After the dates begin to populate, PLEASE VERIFY THAT WE HAVE SCHEDULED YOU AND THAT YOU ARE SCHEDULED TO POST ON THE CORRECT DATE. Help us help YOU.

Once you've signed up, stir up those ideas and get to writing! One your day, post your story on the site, then come to this challenge, cick on 'RESPOND TO CHALLENGE' and add your story to the collection. This enables people to follow the challenge every day and read the new stories posted more easily.

Summary:

This challenge is revamped from the annual Popslash Awesome August challenge on Livejournal. I've brought it here to NF so that Het writers can get in on the fun!

The purpose of the challenge is to encourage writing, first of all. Second of all, to produce 30 days of *NEW* fiction!

The Rules:

>The story can be any length, any genre, about any member, or the whole group.

>No limits except it must be COMPLETE. A shortie, a longie, a visual, a ficlet...

>It must be fiction and it must be *NSYNCified. Can you involve other bands, actors, actresses, etc? YES. The main character must be an *NSYNCER.

This challenge is now FULL! OMG! How awesome are you guys?!

No I have not turned Anti-Justin! lol! But I'm a slut and sometimes I enjoying having secret rendezvous with the other sparkly boys. Who can blame me? :)

Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

To write a story (short or chapters) with a "SYNC" member as the lead.

Rules:
1. JC, Chris, Joey, or Lance as the lead ... duh.
2. its has to be posted after today's date, it cant be a story you've already started... cheater! lol!
3. Justin can be in the story, I'm not crazy! but as a minor character k? No big role or anything.
4. it can be as short or as long as you want... though honestly, chapter stories are my favs *wink wink*.

I'm putting out this challenge in hopes that some really talented Justin authors take it up. T
