Awwww. The feels got me more in this chapter. Her family is adorable, I LOVE the drunk great-grandma bragging/lying about being a jazz dancer. I despise Miles even more. And it leaves me anxious for JC to smooth things out with his folks

I'm with JC's parents on how fast it happened, but I was swayed by Ellie's mom, "that's what long engagements are for". Heather's quip was good too, and I do like how you kept it realistic that he'd have a prenup. And I liked the thing JC said about how they're both quiet and driven by emotions, he seems that way from interviews too.
I liked the Justin call, it was well written, and it made me wish/hope something like it has happened in real life. But it kind of felt out of place within the chapter's flow. JUst my 2 cents.

Yayyy, an update! I laughed so so hard at the end of the chapter when JC was showing what he was allowed to say as an ex-Mousketeer. I didnt expect JC to bring up marriage at all. Nice twist. I loved it.

every time i read the line where claire tells jc that she'll wear his pretty skin if he hurts ellie, i laugh out loud picturing his confused/terrified expression.
