Chapter 1 by Bastet_Baby
Chapter 1            It was Mid-summer and there were people everywhere.  Bailey was driving down the road in her convertible with the top down.  Even though it was early morning it was still fairly hot outside.  She was on her way to work, she couldn’t help but smile.  She had left behind everything she had known to come here and make something of herself.  She had landed her dream job, she had a house and a nice car, plus as an added bonus a really great guy, she had meet through work asked her out.  Life seemed to be perfect, but no one knew that she was hiding one of the biggest secrets of her life.            It was so hard especially after she found out that this guy wanted to date her.  This man was smart, funny and cute.  She couldn’t ask for more, she was going to tell him everything.  Just not until she figured out the best way to break it to him.              “Good morning Bailey.” The secretary said.  Bailey smiled and waved, then headed straight for her office.  She opened the door and found a dozen red roses sitting on the desk.  She smiled and read the card; Dear Bailey, I hope you I like them, there almost a beautiful as you are.  Sincerely, Chris.  Bailey set the flowers aside so she could work.  She had just turned on the computer and was just about to get to work when her phone rang.            “Hello, this Bailey how may I help you?” She asked.  “Do you always answer the phone like that?” He asked.  “Well, baby, this is my work number.” Bailey explained.  “Oh, I see.  Did you get the flowers?” Chris asked.  “Yes, I got them and it’s very nice of you.” Bailey said.  “I just want you to know your the best thing to happen to this company and to me.” Chris said sweetly.  Bailey blushed, “You’re too much, when can I see you again?”             “How about tonight after you get off work?” Chris asked sounding hopeful.  “That’s great, listen, baby, there is something I have to tell you tonight.  It’s important.” Bailey explained getting very serious, but she figure she had to tell him soon or he just might figure it out on his own.  “What is it?” Chris asked sounding worried.  “I don’t want to tell over the phone, I’ll tell you at dinner tonight, it’s not that bad.” Bailey lied, but she didn’t want him to worry about it all day.  “Okay, I’ll look forward to seeing you later.” Chris said, “I have to go now.  Bye Bailey.”            Chris hung up the cell phone and looked at the other members of the group.  “I can’t believe your dating our Graphic Designer.” JC said.  Chris just smiled.  “Isn’t she like half your age?” Lance asked.  “No, she 21.” Chris replied. “Yeah and that means you were 12 when she was born.” Justin remarked jokingly.  “Your all just jealous, because she hot, talented, young, and all mine.” Chris said crossing his arms across his chest.            “Whatever dude.” Justin said.  “I am a little worried though she said there was something she wanted to tell me tonight, she sounded serious.” Chris said deep in thought.  Justin looked over at him, “Do you have any idea what it is?” He asked sounding a little worried.  “If I knew I wouldn’t be worried about it.” Chris said leaning back in his chair.  “I’m sure it won’t be harmful to your relationship.” Joey said.  “Are you kidding she a woman, if she won’t tell you over the phone then it's bad news for both of you.” Justin snapped.              “You sound experienced.”  Lance said.  “More than you know, don’t we have work to be doing?” Justin asked trying to change the subject.  “Yeah, tons of work to do.” JC said.  With that they all went to work, the new album was do out in a few months and they had to start recording.              At about five o’clock Chris got up.  “Do you think we can stop for today, I’m taking Bailey out for dinner?” Chris asked getting his coat on, he was leaving no matter what they said.  “Yeah, man go.  Let us know what happens.” JC said.  “I will, I just hope it’s not bad.” Chris said then left.  He stopped by his house to change into something a little nicer then called Bailey to tell her he was on her way.  She sounded a little shaky over the phone and the worried Chris even more.            When he pulled up to her house she met him at the door.  They kissed passionately.  “Is everything alright?” He asked.  “Yes, Chris everything is going to be okay.  I love you.” Bailey said looking him right in the eyes.  “This is serious isn’t it?” Chris asked holding her hand.  “Not now, Chris at the restaurant, I promise.” Bailey said as they started for the car.  “I want you to know that no matter what it is, it won’t change my feelings for you.” Chris said opening her door for her.  “It won’t change my feelings either, now get in the car, and don’t worry about it.  It’s not bad I promise.” Bailey said.  She kissed him again then slipped into the car.  Chris quickly went around and got in.            No one said another word until they were at the restaurant.  They were seated in a private booth.  Once the waiter left with their drink orders, Chris put his elbows on the table and rested his chin on his hands as if him was bracing himself for a serious blow.  Bailey looked at him and smiled, she loved how he gave her so much attention.              “Please baby, tell me.  You’re driving me nuts.” Chris begged.  “Okay, now Chris this isn’t easy for me.  I know we’ve only been dating a month and a half now, but I really love you.” Bailey said then took a deep breath.  “I love you too, ever since we first meet, 6 months ago.” Chris replied trying to reassure her.  “When I came to Orlando I was scared , then I got the job with Johnny and Jive.  I knew everything was going to be okay.” She paused as the waiter came back with their drinks.  She took a sip of her coke.  “I thought maybe you would get wine.” Chris said making an observation.  Bailey shook her head, “No, not today.”             “Any way go on.” Chris said taking a drink.  “Okay, let me put it this way, I made a mistake, a big mistake.  I hope it won’t hurt our relationship, but I know it will change some things between us.  When I came here I didn’t know anybody, but I became involved with a man.” Bailey said pausing for a moment.  “But everybody told me you were single.” Chris said.  “I was single, I mean, me and this guy weren’t dating.  I guess you could say he was taking advantage of me because I didn‘t know better at the time.  He never took me out or really did anything nice for me.” Bailey explained.            Chris could tell this wasn’t easy for her.  “Just spit it out baby.” Chris begged.  Bailey took a deep breath.  “Chris, I’m pregnant.” Bailey said then looked down at the table as if ashamed.  Chris about choked.  “But, it’s not mine because we haven’t, you know.” Chris said.  “I know it’s not yours, it’s that other guy’s, I broke it off with him the day I found out you liked me and were going to ask me out.  Then a few weeks ago I found out I was pregnant.” She said looking back a him.            “I thought you were gaining weight.” Chris said, “ But this other guy, did you tell him?”  “Yeah, I told him, he denied it and says he wants nothing to do with the baby.” Bailey explained.  “And you know it’s his without a doubt?” Chris asked.  Bailey looked at him shocked.  “Chris, this guy is the only man I’ve been with, until 3 months ago I was a virgin.  But he said things and somehow got me to forget everything and sleep with him.  He was manipulative and now he’s a jerk.  He knows this baby is his he just doesn’t want to hurt his tough guy image.” Bailey explained sounding more than a little mad.            “Who is this guy, I can help get a lawyer.” Chris said.  “No, if he doesn’t want to be a part of this baby’s life, then that’s fine with me.  I’m not going to force him, I don’t need him.” Bailey said sounding very sure of herself.  “Look I admire you being an independent woman and all, but what about the baby.  It’s needs a father.” Chris explained.  “Well I was hoping one day if everything goes well, it would have a wonderful step-father.” Bailey said looking at Chris.  Her green eyes said it all.            “That guy is a jerk and if I force him to be a father he’ll never be a good father.” Bailey said.  Chris slide around the booth to set next to her.  Chris placed his hand on her stomach.  “Won’t you at least to tell who he is, just for my knowledge.” Chris asked.  Bailey shook her head.  “I’m not afraid to admit it’s my baby, he shouldn’t be either.  If he wants to be known that’s his choice.  But I’ll take it to my grave if he wants to remain anonymous.” Bailey explained.  “That’s not what I wanted to hear, but I admire that.” Chris said then kissed her again.            “This isn’t going to hurt us is it?” She asked looking him in the eyes.  “It’s like you said, it’s just a change.  I still love you.” Chris said with a smile.  He couldn’t admit that he wasn’t okay with this, but he did still love her. They cuddled for the longest time and neither one said a word, Bailey could tell Chris was processing the whole thing.  “Are you really okay, Baby?” She asked.  Chris blinked a couple times.  “Yeah, I’m okay, it’s just a lot to take in.” Chris explained.            “What are you thinking about?” Bailey asked.  “To be honest I want to know who this guys is and how he could do this to you and the baby, I mean just leave you hanging like that.  It’s not right.” Chris said taking a bite of his food.  “It’s his choice, maybe he’ll come around.” Bailey explained.  “But what if he doesn’t, what about the baby.” Chris said not looking at her.  Bailey could tell this was going to be hard for Chris.  The two finished their dinner then Chris dropped her off at home.  “Chris, be careful on your way back.”’ She said.  “I will, you take care too.” He added then kissed her.

Chapter 2 by Bastet_Baby
The next day at work the guys questioned Chris about what the big secret had been.  “What did she have to tell you?” Lance asked.  Chris took a deep breath.  “She told me she was pregnant.” He said softly.  “What you got her pregnant already?” Joey asked shocked.  “No, it’s not mine.  It’s some other guy’s.  She was with him before I asked her out.” Chris explained.  “She didn’t tell you who the father was did she?” Justin asked.  “No she refused, she said it didn’t matter the guy was a jerk and didn’t want anything to go with the baby.” Chris added sounding a little upset.              “How do you know this guy is a jerk?” Justin asked.  “Well he sure sounds like one to me, skipping out on a woman he got pregnant.  I would have never done that to Kelly and Briana.” Joey said.  “So I take it she is planning on keeping the baby.” JC questioned.  “Yeah as far as I can tell, she plans to keep it.” Chris said.   “What are you going to do?” Lance asked.  “What do you mean what am I going to do, I love her and I am going to stick by her on this, and I will find out who the father is and make him help her and do his part.” Chris said looking his friends in the eyes.  “It sounds to me like he already did his part.” Justin said smartly.  The others just glared at him.  “This is serious dude.” Lance snapped. “Okay, it’s serious, sorry.” Justin replied. They all got up and walked down the hall to where they were recording.            Justin stopped Chris at the door, “Just how are you planning on finding out who the father is?” Justin asked.  “Well if Bailey won’t tell me then I do some detective work.  You’re my friend will you help me?” Chris asked.  “Yeah, I mean that’s what friends are for, of course I’ll help you.” Justin said as they entered the room.              Mean while across town, Bailey was meeting some friends for lunch.  They were in town for vacation, but Bailey was trying to talk them into moving down here with her.  “Come on you said you had big news over the phone.” Marissa said smiling at her long time friend.  “Yeah, we talked about it the whole way here.” Kenya added.  “Well you guys, this is a long story but the just of it is I’m going to have a baby.” Bailey said.  “Oh, my god.  No way.” Marissa squealed.  “Is it Chris’?” Kenya asked.  “Well no, I got pregnant before Chris asked me out.” Bailey explained.  “Then who is the daddy?” Marissa asked.              “It’s that one guy isn’t it, you mystery man.” Kenya said.  “Yes, if you must know it is him.” Bailey replied.  “I never got his name.” Marissa asked.  “And you never will.” Bailey said sounding very sure.  “Why?” Kenya asked.            “The guy who got me pregnant doesn’t want anything to do with the baby so I don’t want anything to do with him.  It’s not worth knowing who he is.” Bailey explained.  “Does Chris know?” Marissa asked.  “Yeah, I told him last night, I don’t think he was too happy with my choice to keep the father name a secret.” Bailey added.  “I guess he wouldn’t be, but why not tell him?” Kenya asked.  “It would cause more damage than you know.  Chris would kill this guy if he knew.  But I think Chris will make an excellent Step-father.” Bailey said with a sly look on her face.            “Girl I will never understand you, but I’m happy nonetheless.  So when do we get to meet Mr. Perfect?” Marissa asked.  “Tonight, I’m sure he’ll be by to check on me.” Bailey said.  The girls talked a bit longer then headed back to Bailey’s to rest and catch up.  They were all sitting around in their PJ’s when there was a knock on the door.  Bailey smiled and got up to answer the door.            She opened it, she smiled sweetly at Chris and invited him in, and the others were still with him.  She gave them all a quick hello, then took Chris by the hand and led him into the living room.  “I want you to meet my High School friends.” She said.  “Chris, this is Marissa and Kenya. Guys this is Chris.” Bailey said sweetly.  “And that is Joey, JC, Lance and Justin.” She added pointing back at the others.  Joey came up and gave her a hug.  “You okay girl, is there anything we can do for you?” Joey asked.  “That’s sweet of you Joey, but I’m fine.  Me and the baby have everything we need right here.” Bailey said.  “We’re here for you, if you do need anything.” JC added.  “Thanks you guys are so sweet to me.” Bailey said, she smiled and looked at her friends.            “It looks like you are in good hands.” Kenya said.  Chris wrapped his arms around her.  “I’m in great hands.” She said.  “Yeah, well we better go, we have busy day tomorrow.” Justin said.  “But you just got here.” Bailey wined looking at Chris.  “You guys go on a head, I’ll be a long later.” Chris said.  “Okay, I guess we should go.” Lance said rubbing his head.  “But if you ever need anything just call us.” He added.  Chris walked them to the door and they all said their good byes.  Then he joined Bailey back in the living room.  “You don’t mind spending time with us girls do you?’ Bailey asked.  “As long as one of them is you.” He said giving her a kiss on the fore head.              “Oh, he’s a keeper.” Marissa giggled.  “That’s funny Bailey I never knew you had friends.” Chris said eyeing the two on the floor.  She slapped him playfully in the arm.  They hung out for awhile, Bailey couldn’t help but notice how close Chris had become, he like didn’t want to leave her side.  He kept drop hints that we wanted to know who the father was, but Bailey ignored them.  Finally Bailey excused herself and left Chris alone with her friends.            “So, ladies, which one of you is going to tell me who the father of the baby is.” Chris asked.  The other two laughed.  “I honestly wish we could tell you but she’s keeping us in the dark too.” Kenya explained.  “I thought girls talked about stuff like this?” Chris asked.  “I thought so too, but if you figure it out you have to tell us.” Marissa explained.  “I will.” Chris laughed.            “She did talk about him a few times over the phone, but we never got his name.” Kenya said.  “Yeah, he was like her secret lover that no one could know about.” Marissa added.  “Really, what if anything else did she tell you.” Chris asked very interested.  “I got the impression that it was someone at work.” Marissa explained.  “That doesn’t narrow it down any, the company is huge and new clients come in all the time.  I need more details, ladies.” Chris said.  “Okay, she said the first time they ‘got together’ was in her office at work.  He had been seducing her for weeks and he finally caught her at a weak point.  She said he had an amazing way with words and suddenly having sex didn’t seem so dirty.” Kenya added watching as the expression on Chris’ face closely.              “At work, wow.  Any way ladies, I think we should continue this talk later, like...” Chris started to say.  “When Bailey isn’t here?” Bailey asked putting her hands on her hips.  “Hey, baby.  Didn't see you there.” Chris said with a smile.  “I bet you didn’t.  Now you guys just drop it already.” Bailey said sitting down beside Chris.  “Tell us already.” Marissa yelled.  “Nope, not going to happen.  It’s up to him really; I could care less if anyone knows.  It’s like going to the sperm bank.” Bailey explained.  “Not really girl, you did fool around with this guy, you do know a little something about him.” Kenya said.              “I just don’t think he would make a very good father any way.” Bailey said.  “What do you have against this guy; I mean you had to like him at one point.”  Marissa asked.  “I did like him he was handsome, and I thought he was the kind of guy I could have a relationship with but, he didn’t want that.  He got mad when I told him it was over because Chris was going to ask me out.  Then he got even madder when I told him I was pregnant.  He said the kid wasn’t his and I was just trying to find away to get back with him, and get money from him.  That’s why I don’t want anything to do with him.” Bailey explained.  Chris kissed her, “Well his loss is my gain.”
Chapter 3 by Bastet_Baby
“Hey Justin.” Chris yelled running to catch up with him.  “What’s up dude?” Justin asked turning to greet Chris.  “I found out some more info on the mystery guy.” Chris said out of breath.  “You did?” Justin questioned.  “Yeah, I got to quit this, I’m getting too old.” Chris said trying to catch his breath.  “What did you find out?” Justin asked.  “Oh, I talked to her friends last night, and she meet him through work.  They even had sex in her office.” Chris explained.  “Go figure, girls tell their friends everything.” Justin snapped.  “Yeah, well she didn’t tell them his name either.  But she said he was handsome and the kind of guy she thought she wanted to be with.  She also said he had an amazing way with words.” Chris explained.              “So you’re looking for a smooth talking pretty boy?” Justin asked raising one eye brow.  “Yeah.” Chris said with a smile.  “That doesn’t narrow it down too much.” Justin said.  “I know but it‘s a start.” Chris said.  “Why do you want to find him so bad any way?” Justin asked getting serious for a minute.  “Because what he is doing is wrong.  He’ll pay for what he did to her.” Chris snapped.  Justin jumped a little at the sound of Chris voice; it was so sincere and powerful.  Justin hadn’t seen him like this before.  “It does take two you know.” Justin replied.  “I know that and Bailey admitted that she made a mistake, a big one as she put it.  She is paying for it already, having a baby isn’t easy.  You forget my mother was a single mom.” Chris explained.  “You really do love her don’t you?” Justin asked.  “Yes, I really do.” Chris replied.  “I admire that.” Justin said            “Are you guys coming or what?” JC asked holding the door open for them.  “Yeah, we’ll be there is just a sec.” Justin said.  “So, do you have any idea who you think it is yet?” Chris asked as the turned and walked toward JC.  “No man, not a clue, I guess I need more information.” Justin explained then they both disappeared into the other room.            Things went on that at for a few more weeks.  Bailey still insisted that it wasn‘t important and Chris still insisted that he needed to know.  They fought about it a few times, but the first really heated argument came during Nsync summer tour.  Bailey and her friends had come to see then on the road.  Bailey loved Chris but she was getting increasingly annoyed with him always asking her about her former lover.            “God, look at you girl.” Lance squealed as Bailey walked over to him.  She was now 2 and a half months pregnant and starting to show slightly.  “Hello, Lance.  How are you?” Bailey asked sweetly.  “I’m fine and yourself?” He asked.  She rolled her eyes, “I’ve been better.”  “Morning sickness?” Joey asked.  Bailey nodded.  “Yeah, Kelly had that really bad the first few months.” Joey explained. “Please tell me it gets better.” Bailey begged.  Joey laughed, “It will I guess after you have the baby.”            “Hi, I’m sorry but I don’t remember your name.” Lance said shaking Marissa’s hand.  “I’m Marissa and this is Kenya.” Marissa said.  Lance shook Kenya’s hand.  “You guys meet at my house that one night remember.” Bailey said.  “Yeah, but Justin was in a hurry to leave so we didn’t stay long.” Lance explained.  “What’s up with that boy any way?” Joey asked.  “What do you mean?” Kenya asked.  “He’s just been acting really weird lately.” Joey explained.  “You noticed that too?” Lance asked.   “The guy probably just has a lot on his mind right now; I mean it can’t be easy being Justin Timberlake.” Bailey said.  “You’re probably right the group does put a lot of pressure on him.” Lance said.              “There you are.” Chris said putting his arms around Bailey.  “Oh no, you found me.” Bailey squealed.  “Where are the others?” Joey asked.  “JC is sleeping and Justin is on the phone with his mother, it sounded like they were having a heated discussion about something important, so I left.” Chris explained.  Chris lowered his hands and rested them on her belly.  “When are you going to tell me?” He asked looking her in the eyes.  “Chris, when are you going to quit asking?” Bailey asked getting a little annoyed.  “Why won’t you tell me?” Chris yelled.  “Because it doesn’t matter.” Bailey said.  “It matters to me.” Chris snapped letting go of her.            She folded her arms and looked away from him.  “This is silly, if you loved me you would tell me.” Chris said firmly.  She looked at him shocked.  “Baby, I do love you but I don’t want to hurt you.” Bailey explained.  “You are hurting me by not telling me.” Chris explained.  “Chris I can’t take this right now, please can we talk about it later?” Bailey asked.  “No, I want to talk about it now.” Chris snapped.  “Well I don’t I am going home, I’ll see you guys later.” Bailey said then left without another word.  “Girl don’t do this.” Chris yelled after her.            “Dude, you do know that pregnant women are very moody right?” Joey asked.  “I am figuring that out thank you.” Chris said.  “You shouldn’t push her, Chris.  You're only going to drive her away.” Kenya explained.  “Speaking of driving, Bailey just left us, that means we have no way home.” Marissa said realizing that Bailey had the keys to the car.  “You guys can hang out here, I’m sure she’ll be back later.  She just needs to cool off.” Chris explained.              “If it’s cool with you guys, We would love to.” Kenya said.  “Yeah, stay we will have a great time together.” Lance said sweetly.  “Yeah, I want to talk to you about that guy some more.” Chris explained.  “Are you sure that's such a good idea?” Marissa asked.  “Of course it is, why wouldn’t it be?” Chris asked.  “I mean Bailey did leave here pretty mad, you may figure it out but you might lose the girl in the process.” Kenya explained. Chris thought for a minute.            “If I could figure out who it is then I could talk to him, get him to do it on his own.  Bailey would never have to know that I know.  I would just feel better knowing.” Chris said.  “I guess, but we don’t know that much more than you.” Marissa said.  “It’s okay, come with me.” Chris said taking them by the arms.  He took the back to the dressing room.  Justin was still on the phone but he hung up after he saw Chris returning.            “What’s going on?” Justin asked.  “I brought the girls in here to talk.” Chris explained.  “About what?” Justin asked sitting on the arm rest of the couch.  “The mystery guy, you said yourself that girls tell their girl friends everything.” Chris said.  “I did? Oh yeah.” Justin said.  “By the way ladies, this is Justin, as I’m sure you know, he agreed to help me figure this out.” Chris explained.              “You know Bailey and I don’t really see eye to eye all the time, but isn’t it wrong for you girls to tell all her secrets.” Justin asked.  “Yeah, it is you’re right we should go.” Kenya said, she was about to leave when Marissa stopped her.  “Wait, you can’t tell me you honestly don’t want to know.” Marissa said looking her in the eyes.  “I do, I’m sure she’ll tell us in due time.” Kenya explained.  Chris went over and stood by Justin.  He seemed a little stressed out.              “So where is Bailey any way?” Justin asked.  “She left; we kind of got into it.” Chris said looking at his feet.  “Maybe you should back off a little; I mean I know you love her.  I’d hate to see you lose her over this.” Justin explained.  “I just wish she would see just how serious this is.  My mother raised me by herself, it wasn’t easy growing up.” Chris said.  Kenya looked at him, at least now she knew why he was acting this way.  “She isn’t by herself.  She has you Chris.  You may not be the baby’s biological father, but if you love Bailey and want to be with her for the rest of your life, then it shouldn’t matter.” Marissa explained.  Chris looked at her and was about to say something when Justin interrupted.            “I would love to stay and listen to you guys, but there is something I really have to go take care of first, I’ll be back in a little bit and you can fill me in.” Justin explained grabbing his cell phone then walking out.  The others just watched him and they went on about what they were talking about.  JC woke up and walked into the main room still rubbing the sleep from his eyes.  Kenya laughed because his hair was all messed up.  “Good morning ladies.” JC said with a smile.  “Hello sleeping beauty.” Chris said motioning to JC to fix his hair.  JC realized what was going on and then tried his best to fix it.              “What are you guys doing any way, where is Bailey?” JC asked finally getting his hair under control.  “She left, Chris made her mad.” Marissa explained.  JC rolled his eyes, “You really need to lay off it.  I’m sure she has a good reason for leaving you in the dark.  She’s a very smart girl.” JC explained.  Chris fell on to the couch.  “Am I wrong, by wanting to know?” He asked.  “Not for that, just don’t push so hard.” JC said.  “You know, JC has a point.  Bailey has to have another reason for keeping this from us.  If the guy was just a jerk then she would want us to know and stay away from him.” Kenya explained.              “Your right, I have been so busy trying to figure this out, I haven’t been a very good boyfriend.” Chris said sitting up.  “You want my advice?” JC asked crossing his arms.  “Yeah, sure shoot.” Chris said burying his face in his hands.  “You should call Bailey take her out to dinner and not say another word about the baby’s father.  Don’t drive her away like this, be the great guy we all know you can be.  Then maybe someday she’ll come clean about it.” JC said sincerely.  “That is great advice.” Kenya agreed.  “Your right, that’s what I’m going to do.  I’m going to be the guy I was before I found out she was having a baby.” Chris said.  JC just smiled.              “Do you want to be alone now?” Marissa asked.  “Yeah, for a little bit, but I’ll leave, you guys can stay.” Chris said walking to the door.  “But we don’t know anybody here.” Kenya wined.  Chris stopped for a moment.  ‘it’s okay Chris you go, I can show you two around for awhile.” JC said.  “Thanks, JC.  I’ll talk to you later.” Chris said, he didn’t want them to tell Bailey that Chris abandoned them in a strange place.  He waved and then stepped outside.  “Well ladies, what would you like to do?” JC asked offering each of them an arm to hold.  They both laughed then took one.  “This almost makes up for being left behind.” Kenya said resting against JC’s strong arm.  JC just smiled and laughed.

Chapter 4 by Bastet_Baby
Bailey’s cell phone rang, she answered it without looking, figuring it was Chris calling to apologize.  “Hello?” She asked.  “We need to talk.” A man said on the other end.  “About what?” She asked recognizing the voice immediately.  “You know what about.” He snapped.  “I thought you made it very clear the last time we talked.” She replied.  “I know I was a jerk, but I’ve been thinking a lot lately.” He said sounding almost sweet.  “Is there a reason you called?” She asked.            “I guess I feel bad about what I did.” He said softly.  “Really?” She asked sarcastically.  “I hate when you do that.  I want to help pay for your doctor bills.” He said.  “I told you I don’t want your money.  My baby’s daddy isn’t going to be a check that comes every month.” Bailey explained.  “Then what do you want from me?” He asked.  She could tell by the sound of his voice he was hiding something.  “You know what I want, and if you don’t then your an idiot.  Your hiding something now spit it out.” Bailey said sounding very sure of herself.  “I am not.” He said, he hated how she could see through him like that.  “Whatever, are you done now?” She asked.  “Yeah, I’m done.” He said then hung up.  “Jerk.” Bailey snapped looking at her phone.            Then phone rang again this time she looked at the number.  “Hey.” She said sweetly.  “I’m so sorry baby.” Chris said.  “I am too.” Bailey replied.  “Listen, I want to make it up to you.  I want to take you out to dinner tonight, and I promise, I won’t ask any more.” Chris explained.  “Promise?” She asked.  “Yes, now where would you like to go?” He asked.  “I don’t care as long as you’re with me.” She said.  “Great, but I’m afraid you’ll have to meet me at the venue in about an hour, so we can get it in before the show tonight.” Chris explained.  “I’ll be there don’t you worry.” Bailey said and then hung up the phone.            Chris was always good about making it up to her.  Bailey quickly got ready and then headed back to the venue.  As she walked in she ran into Justin and Joey sitting on some boxes talking.  “What are you doing here?” Justin asked.  “Chris is taking me out to eat before the show.” Bailey explained.  “You look lovely.” Joey said.  “Have you seen Chris, or my friends for that matter?” Bailey asked realizing she had left them here earlier.  “Chris is in the dressing room and last time I saw your friends they were hanging around with JC and Lance.” Joey said.  “Are they safe with those two?” She asked.  “Not really.” Justin said smartly.  “Oh, well their big girls, where is the dressing room?” Bailey asked.  “Here, I’ll show you the way.” Justin said hopping down.  “Great, bye Joey.  Good luck on the show tonight if I don’t see you before then.” She said following Justin away.              He led her down a hallway and then stopped in front of a door.  He pointed her in the right direction.  “Thanks.” She said.  “Don’t mention it.” Justin said sticking his hands in his pockets.  “You’re right on time.” Chris said walking up to her.  He ran his hand through her hair and then kissed her passionately.  Justin looked away.  “I’m so sorry baby.” Chris said.  Bailey put her finger up to his lips.  “Don’t worry about it, let’s just go eat.” Bailey said looking him in the eyes.  “You guys have fun.” Justin said.  “We will, see you a little later.” Chris said then left with Bailey.            Dinner went very well Chris did a great job pretending like he didn’t care about who the baby’s daddy was.  Bailey noticed that Chris was trying to avoid the subject, she was happy though that he had finally dropped it.  “What made you decide to drop the questioning?” Bailey asked eyeing her boyfriend from across the table.  “I realized I was too busy trying to figure it out that I wasn’t being a very good boyfriend.” Chris explained.  “And who helped you came to this conclusion?” She asked raising an eye brow.  “You know me too well.  It was JC mainly, but Kenya, Marissa and Justin played a part in it too.” Chris explained.  “I’m glad, you’re a great guy, and I’m a very lucky girl.” Bailey with a smile.              “So since we’re talking about it...” Chris said.  Bailey braced herself for another round of intense questioning even though Chris claimed he was over it.  “Are you going to find out the sex of the baby?” He asked sweetly.  Bailey smiled again.  “I hadn’t thought about it, I think I might like to be surprised.” She replied.  “I think you should have a boy.  Boys are more fun.” Chris said.  Bailey shook her head, “I’d rather have a girl but I guess, I’ll be happy no matter what.” Bailey said.  Chris shook his head, “No you don’t want a girl, their trouble.  When their little you’ll have dolls all over our house, then when they get older they’ll be having boys over.” Chris explained.  “And boys are better, they be running around getting girls pregnant.” Bailey laughed jokingly.  “Not if you raise them right.” Chris explained.            “And you think I could raise him right?” Bailey asked.  “Well no, but maybe, just maybe I’ll help you.” Chris said leaning in closer.  “Oh, that makes me feel a whole lot better.” Bailey said leaning in and kissing him.  “Some times I wander if I could handle you and a kid.” She added.  “See this is great, this is how it should have been all along.  We’re talking, joking, and having fun.  Not yelling and arguing, I’d hate to say it but the others were right.” Chris said. “I’m glad too, but don’t you need to be getting back, I’d hate for you to leave all those teeny boppers hanging.” Bailey said.  Chris looked at his watch then agreed.  They paid then got in the limo.  Chris pulled her close, “Since you won’t tell me who he is do you think you could at least show me how he got you pregnant sometime?” He asked running his finger along her caller bone.  “You dirty old man.” Bailey snapped jokingly.  They kissed the whole way back to the venue.            Once back Chris joined the others in the dressing room while Bailey meet up with her friends.  “You left us.” Kenya yelled.  “You got to spend time with two of America’s hottest young stars, don’t complain.” Bailey said.  “She has a point.” Marissa said looking at Kenya, they all laughed.  “So, are you and Chris back on track?” Marissa asked.  “Yeah, everything was great tonight, but we’ll see what happens.” Bailey explained.  The girls all stood around talking, while waiting for the show to be over.  Once it was over Chris rode back to the hotel with Bailey and her friends.            “You can sleep in my room, with me if you want too.  That way you won’t have to bunk with one of your friends.” Chris said giving her a hug as they entered the hotel lobby.  “After what you said earlier do you think that is such a good idea?” She asked.  “I’ll behave.” Chris promise with a smile.  “Yeah, right.  Do you guys mind if I stay with him?” She asked turning to her friends.  “Mind?  Why would we mind?” Marissa asked.  “Great, let’s go baby doll.” Chris said taking her by the hand.  She waved to her friends.            When they got to his room, Bailey was in awe, she had never seen a hotel room so big.  Chris shut and locked the door they walked over to Bailey.  He wrapped his arms around her and growled sexily in her ear.  “I thought you said you were going to behave?” Bailey asked.  “I lied.” He said running his hands down her side.  “I don’t know about this Chris.” Bailey said.  “Come on I know you’re not a virgin, and I love you.  I want to be with you.” Chris begged.  “I know, I love you too.  I just don’t want to mess up our relationship.” Bailey explained.  “Do you think we’re going to end up like you and that other guy?” Chris asked.  “I don’t know what I’m thinking.” Bailey said.  “Well we’re not; he never loved you like I do.  With him it was physical.” Chris explained.            Chris spun her around and kissed her.  He placed a hand on the side of her face and looked her in the eyes.  “I don’t want to make you do anything you don’t want to.”  Chris explained backing her up toward the bed.  When her legs hit the bed he stopped and smiled at her.  “You goober.” Bailey snapped hitting him playfully on the chest.  He stopped her and then lovingly looked in her eyes.  “I don’t want to have sex with you.” Chris said.  “Then what were you planning on doing?” She asked.  “I want to make love to you.” He said sweetly then kissed her again.            The two of them fell onto the bed.  They laughed and then kissed.  Chris rested on top of her holding himself up with his arms.  “You are too much Chris Kirkpatrick.” Bailey said.  “But you love me any way.” Chris said with a smiled.  He leaned in and they kissed.  They were playfully exploring each other’s bodies with their hands when Bailey cell phone rang.  “Um...I have to answer it.” Bailey said interrupting their kiss.  “No you don’t just let it ring.” Chris begged.  “Baby please.” Bailey wined.            Chris took a deep breathe then rolled off of her, he laid there on his side watching her.  “Hello?” Bailey asked.  “I really need to talk to you.” A man said.  “This really isn’t a very good time.” Bailey replied.  “Why not, I need to talk to you.  It’s important.” He said.  Bailey took a deep breathe and looked at Chris.  Chris seemed generally concerned, but forced himself to remain where he was.  If she wanted his help then she would ask.            “I with Chris right now.” Bailey said.  “This late?  You’re in his room aren’t you?” The man asked.  “Not that it’s any of your business, but yes.” Bailey replied.  “Are you sure you should be doing that, is it good for the baby?” He asked.  “Why does it matter, it’s not like you care.” Bailey explained.  “That’s just it, I don’t know why, but I do care.” He replied softly.  Bailey wasn’t sure she had heard him right.  “You do care?” She questioned.  “Yes, I do care.  I really want to talk to you, can we talk now?” He asked sincerely.  Bailey made eye contact with Chris who was listening carefully.  “Sure, meet me at the all night cafe on the corner and you better not be wasting my time.” Bailey warned.  “Thank you, and don’t worry I won’t waste your time.” He said when hung up.            She put the phone down then turned to Chris.  Chris forced himself to remain quite; he had learned his lesson about asking too many questions.  If she wanted him to know then she would tell him.  “That was him.” She said finally looking Chris in the eye.  “What did he want, is everything okay?” Chris asked.  “He wants to talk to me, he said it was important.  I am going to go meet him.” Bailey explained.  “Do you want me to come with you?” Chris asked sweetly.  “No, I think I should go alone, he’s not dangerous by any means.” Bailey explained.              “I want to go with you.” Chris said looking at his hands.  “I know you do, but I can’t trust you to remain calm.  Maybe he’s coming around, just like I said he might, and I don’t want you to mess it up for us.” Bailey explained kissing Chris on the forehead.  “I still want to go, but you’re probably right.  I guess I’ll wait here for you.  If I’m asleep when you get back I want you to wake me.  I want to know what happened.” Chris said.  Bailey smiled and then kissed him on the lips.  “That’s what I love about you.  Trust me if anything goes wrong I’ll call.” Bailey said jumping up.  She got her purse and was out the door.
Chapter 5 by Bastet_Baby
Bailey walked quickly down to the cafe, she looked back a few times afraid Chris might just try to follow her, but if he was she didn’t see him.  She walked in and was surprised to see he was already there.  He was sitting alone drinking coffee in a booth in the far corner of the cafe.  “It’s a little late for coffee don’t you think?” She asked.  “Not considering the day I’ve had.” He replied.  She quickly sat down across from him.  The waitress brought her some water, then left.            “Okay, I just left my incredibly good looking boyfriend alone in a nice hotel room, so you better start talking.” Bailey said then took a sip of her water.  “You mean to tell me you were actually going to have sex with him?” He asked.  “No, I had sex with you; we were going to make love because we love each other.” Bailey explained.  “Whatever.” He huffed.  “Seriously, start talking before I start walking.” Bailey snapped.              “Okay, just give me a minute, this isn’t easy for me.” He explained.  Bailey reached across the table and held his hand.  He looked down.  “It’s not easy for me to admit I was wrong.” He continued.  She listen carefully, “What are you trying to say?” She asked.  “I’m trying to tell you that I’m sorry for the way I have treated you, and I’m ready to take responsibility.” He said softly.  “You’re finally ready to be a real father instead of a sperm donor?” She asked in disbelief.  “Would you stop that, this is serious; we are having a baby here.” He snapped.  Bailey sat back in shock.              “I have to say I’m confused, what on earth happened, why did you change your mind?” She asked.  “Well it was a lot of things, and a lot of people.  The point is I realize I was the one about to make a big mistake, not you.  I mean you accepted the fact that you were having a baby, my baby, and I just couldn’t.” He explained as a single tear rolling down his cheek.  “It’s okay, there’s no need to cry, and there is still time for you to be a part of this baby’s life.” Bailey explained.  “You’re right, but what about Chris?” He asked.  “What about him, he’s the man I love and right now I want to spend the rest of my life with him.  But he’s not the biological father; he wants you to be there too.   A lot of kids grow up in families with step-parents, you did.” Bailey explained.              “I know, I mean, what are we going to tell Chris.  He doesn’t know who I am yet.  He’s going to flip.” He said.  “We have to tell him, if you want to be in this baby’s life.  We can sit him down explain everything to him.  He‘ll understand.” Bailey replied.  “Are you sure?” He asked.  “Yes, now come on, it’s late.  We should both be getting to bed.  Tomorrow I’ll call you and you’ll make plans to sit down with Chris and talk to him.” Bailey explained.  “You’re right, that’s a good plan.” He said getting up; he walked with her back to the hotel.  “Thanks again, for giving me this second chance.  It means a lot to me.” He said as the approached the hotel doors.  “You’re welcome, just don’t blow it.  I don’t give out too many third chances.” Bailey said.  She kissed him on the cheek.            He smiled then they parted ways.  Bailey couldn’t help but smile as she walked back up to Chris’ room.  She walked in slowly just in case he was sleeping.  She smiled as she got close to the bed.  Chris was passed out with a book in his hand.  She walked over and took the book out of his hand.  She looked at it, and laughed, he had been reading one of her books on having a baby.  Bailey tossed it back on the night stand and then got in bed along side Chris; she rested her head against him.  She knew that he wanted to be woken up, but she couldn’t bring herself to do it.  She quickly fell asleep.            Bailey’s eyes flittered open; she smiled when she saw Chris setting in the chair on the other side of the room.  He was flipping through the last few pages of the book he had started last night.  He saw her out of the corner of his eye.  “Why didn’t you wake me?” He asked still looking at the book.  “You were sleeping and you looked so sweet.” Bailey explained.  “I must have fallen asleep reading this book, it’s very interesting, but I guess I was just too tired.” Chris explained.  He put the book down and then walked over to her.  He sat beside her on the bed.              “I take it things went well then?” Chris asked wrapping his arms around her.  “Yeah, it was great; he wants to be in the baby’s life after all.” Bailey explained then kissed him.  “So, do I get to know who he is now, I mean I’ll find out anyway, because I am going to be there too.” Chris said sweetly.  “I know you are and so does he.  He understands and you will get to know who he is, but it’s complicated.” Bailey said.  “What do you mean, why can’t you just tell me?” Chris asked a little worried.            “It would be easier to do with him there.” Bailey said.  “You’re not going to break up with me are you?” Chris asked worried.  “No, I would never do that.  I don’t like him like that, like you said last night it was purely physical.  I just think you need to meet him that’s all.” Bailey said then got up and went into the bathroom.  “So when do I get to meet him then?” Chris yelled.  “I’m going to call him later and set the whole thing up.” Bailey said.  “Cool I am going to go find the others; we have a few things we need to do this morning.” Chris said getting up and walking over to her.  He gave her a kiss, “I’ll see you later.” He added.  “Yeah, I’ll catch up with you.” Bailey said then walked him to the door.            Bailey smiled as Chris walked away; he was finally going to know the truth.  Finally her big secret was going to be revealed.  She darted back into the room to get ready, then she meet her friends at the breakfast bar.  “So how was it last night?” Marissa asked smiling at her friend.  “It was great; too bad we didn’t do anything.” Bailey replied sitting down beside the friends.  “What, why not?” Kenya asked shocked.  “I mean we were going to but something more important came up.” Bailey explained.  “Like what?” Kenya asked.  “Like the baby’s daddy called, he wanted to talk to me.  So I left and meet up with him.” Bailey said.              “You left Chris for your mystery guy?” Marissa questioned.  “It’s not like that, he wanted to talk to me about the baby, and he’s finally ready to admit it’s his.  He’s ready to be a father.” Bailey said with a smile.  “Really, why the change of heart?” Kenya asked.  “I think it just finally got to him, he was scared at first I think, but so was I.  It’s going to be okay.” Bailey said.  “So do we get to know who he is?  I mean if he’s going to be hanging around and all, we will figure it out.” Marissa explained.  “Yeah I’ll tell you but not right now, I want to talk to Chris about it first.  We’re going to make arrangements to sit down with Chris today and talk about it.” Bailey said.  “Okay, but you tell us as soon as you get done.” Marissa wined.  Bailey just laughed.            Meanwhile, down the street, “You guys I can’t wait I finally get to meet the father of Bailey’s baby.” Chris said.  “What are you going to say to him?” JC asked a little worried.  “I just want to know why it took him so long to step up.” Chris said.  “You aren’t a little mad that he beat you to it?” Lance questioned.  “No, I mean, I would have liked to, but she knows I’m not a virgin, so why should it matter if she isn’t either.”  Chris said sitting down in the chair.              “So did you and Bailey have fun last night?” Justin asked.  Chris smiled.  “We were going to but then her phone rang and she left.  I was asleep by the time she got back, but there will be plenty of time for that later.” Chris said licking his lips.  “You are something else, I give you that.  I don’t know what I would do if I were in your place, nor do I want to find out.” JC said.  “What do you mean?” Chris asked looking up at him.  “Well you finally meet, ‘the girl’ and ask her out only to find out she’s carrying another man’s baby.  You have to admit, that’s not something you ever plan for, but I have to say I have a whole new respect for you for doing it.” JC explained. “Yeah, it takes a real man to do what you’re doing.” Joey said.            “I don’t know why, and I can’t explain it but I just want to be with her, no matter what else comes along with it.” Chris said deep in thought.  “That’s great, I admire that and I hope one day you and Bailey both find happiness together.” Justin said walking closer to Chris.  “You don’t think this other guy will get in the way do you?” Lance asked.  “I don’t think so; whatever happened between them is history it seems.  She doesn’t want to even talk about it.” Chris explained.  “I don’t think he will give you any trouble, even a blind man could see the wonderful thing you two have going, he’d be foolish to try.” Justin said.  “Besides, Bailey is a smart girl; she doesn’t seem like the type to make the same mistake twice.” Joey added.  “Well this all cool, but don’t we have something we should be doing?” JC asked.  With that the guys got back to work.
Chapter 6 by Bastet_Baby
The guys had just finished up when Chris cell phone rang.  “Hello?” Chris asked.  “Hey baby, are you ready?” Bailey asked.  “Yeah, I’m ready if you are.  Where are we doing this at?” Chris asked.  “There is a restaurant down the street from where you are right now.  We’re going to meet him there.” Bailey explained.  “Excellent.” Chris said.  “One more thing.” Bailey said quickly before he rung up.  “What is it, is something wrong?” Chris asked.  “No, just promise me you won’t make a scene, this is a public place.” Bailey said.  “I promise.  I’m just glad I’ll finally know.  Now don’t worry and I’ll see you in a little bit.” Chris said then hung up.            When he got there, he found Bailey sitting alone.  “I thought you said he would be here.” Chris said joining her.  “He will be.  He’s just running late.” She explained sliding closer to him.  He put his arm around her and then they waited.  It wasn’t long before a young man approached their table.  “What are you doing here?” Chris asked with a friendly smile.  “Well, there is something we need to talk about.” Justin said taking a seat.  “Can’t it wait? We’re kind of busy right now; we’re waiting on the mystery guy to get here.” Chris said.  Bailey took a hold of his hand.  “Well he’s here baby.” She said softly.              Chris looked back and forth between the two of them for a minute.  “You’re joking right?” Chris asked.  They both just shook their heads.  “I’m sorry I wanted to tell you, but I was scared.” Justin said finally.  “You’re the jerk who was just going to leave her hanging, how could you do that?  How could you be so stupid?” Chris snapped.  “I guess I deserve that, but I got the courage to step up from you.” Justin explained.  “Chris, please.  You have to understand now why I wouldn’t tell you.  Justin is ready to be a daddy, don’t scare him away.”  Bailey begged.  Chris took a deep breath, “I guess I see now what the whole secret was about and I won’t do anything to scare him off, we work together for crying out loud.  I just thought you were smarter than that Justin.” Chris said facing his friend.              “You and my mom, she wasn’t too happy either when I told her.  She made me realize what a big mistake I was making.  I was a jerk can you both forgive me?” Justin asked.  Bailey smiled and cuddled with Chris.  “I guess we have to, if we’re going to make this work.” Chris said.  He pulled Bailey closer and kissed her on the forehead.  “What about the others?” Chris asked.  “I already took care of them; after you left I confessed everything to them.  They know now too.” Justin explained.              “So what happens now?” Bailey asked.  “Well, love cup, you are going to get as big as a house and have a baby, and we men are going to look after you and the little one.” Chris explained.  “Do you know what it’s going to be yet?” Justin asked sweetly.  “No, it’s too early to tell, do you want to know?” She asked.  “No, not really.  Not until it’s here.” Justin said.  “So this is how it’s going to be, all three of us as one big happy family?” Chris asked.  “Yeah, you said it yourself the baby needed its biological father.” Bailey said.              “It does and that’s just what it’s going to get, but I understand that Chris is going to be there too.” Justin said.  “Oh, I won’t get in the way of you and your child.” Chris said quickly.  “No it’s cool man.  I had an awesome Step-father growing up.” Justin explained.  “So now everyone knows?” Chris asked.  “Well. Not everyone.  I still have to tell Marisa and Kenya.” Bailey said.  “You didn’t tell them all of the details of our relationship, did you?’ Justin asked worried.  Bailey smiled, “Justin we’re girls and we talk, but you’ll be fine I’m sure.  I never said anything bad.”            Justin shook his head, “I have a feeling that this is going to be very interesting.”  Chris smiled and patted him on the back.  “You’re so screwed dude.” Chris said as the started to get up.  “We got to go, but I’ll talk later, okay?” Justin said as him and Chris were about to go back to the venue.  “Yeah, we can get together later.  You boys have fun and don’t work too hard.” Bailey said then left to go find her friends.            By the end of the day everyone who needed to know knew and things settled down a little bit.  Chris and Justin took turns taking Bailey to her doctor appointments.  When it came time to come up with names for the baby Chris stayed out of it, and let Bailey and Justin make the final pick, which wasn’t easy.  They couldn’t agree on anything.  Justin was a nervous wreck throughout the rest of the pregnancy and of course the media had a hay day with the news.  It took months for the guys to get the media to get the facts straight.
Chapter 7 by Bastet_Baby
The guys were in the studio working on a new single.  Justin was willing to put forth the extra effort being as he was going to have a baby to care for.  He was in the sound booth when Chris walked in.  He stuck his head in and talked to the others briefly before walking right up to Justin.  He calmly put his hand on his arm.  Justin looked at him them removed his headset.              “You really need to keep you cell phone with you.” Chris said taking a hold of his arm.  “Why?” Justin asked confused.  “Because you need to come with me you’re having a baby.” Chris explained.  “What now?” Justin asked running to get his coat.  “Yes, now, Bailey is on her way to the hospital as we speak.” Chris said waiting at the door for him.  “I’m sorry you guys.” Chris said turning to the others.  “No you guys go, call us when it’s here.” JC said waving the two out the door.            They rushed to the hospital, which to Justin was the longest car ride he had been on in his life.  When they arrived Bailey had just been taken to the delivery room.  They guys rushed to her side.  “Chris it hurts.” Bailey said as Chris took her hand.  “I know it does, but it will all be worth it.” Chris said kissing her on the fore head.  “It’s about that time dad.” The doctor said moving Justin out of the way a little so she could check.            “Is she okay, it everything okay?’ Justin asked standing on the other side of Bailey.  She held his hand too.  “Everything is fine, it won’t be long now.  Would you like anyone to leave?” The doctor asked looking at Bailey.  “No, they’re both staying whether they want to or not.” Bailey explained just before another pain contraction hit.  She squeezed both of their hands.  “I need to push.” Bailey screamed.            “Not yet, just a little longer.” The doctor explained.  “Is this normal?” Chris asked.  “It’ perfectly normal.” The doctor said checking her again.  “It’s almost time, our baby is almost here.” Justin said.  She smiled at him.  “Our baby, I like that.” Bailey said.  “Not to take you away from Justin, I know this is a special time for you both, but I’ve been thinking about all the talks we had about me being the baby’s step-father, I think I might like that, if I asked you would you say yes?” Chris asked.  Bailey smiled and then kissed him.  “In a heartbeat.” She managed to get out before it began to hurt again.  Chris smiled and talked her through another contraction.              “Congratulations you two.” Justin said sweetly.   “Let’s get through this first and then we’ll celebrate.” Chris said.  “Okay, it’s time, you guys ready to deliver this baby?” The doctor asked.  “I’m ready.” Justin said.  “Justin I’m scared.” Bailey said.  “It’s okay, I’m here with you and so is Chris.  We’re not leaving until this baby is born.” Justin said looking over at Chris.  It was nice to have him there.            Everything after that happened so fast then next thing they knew they heard the doctor say.  “It’s a girl.”  “A Girl, Justin we have a daughter.” Bailey sounding weak and out of breath.  “I want to hold her; I want to hold my baby.” She added reaching for it.  The doctor smiled and handed it to her.  “She’s beautiful you guys.” Chris said eyeing the new born baby in his fiancé's arms.  “Yes, she is.  She must get it from her mother.” Justin replied with a smile.              “So what’s her name?” Chris asked.  “Melody.” Justin said with a smile.  “I like that.” Chris said.  Bailey held her for a few minutes, and then they took her away to clean her off a bit.  When they brought her back Bailey, she turned to Justin.  “Here you hold her.” She said.  “No, I can’t I might hurt her.” Justin said quickly.  “You won’t hurt her, you’re her daddy.  She wants you.” Bailey said placing the tiny infant in his arms.  Justin looked at her; she seemed so small and precious in his strong arms.  “I almost made the biggest mistake of my life.  I almost missed out on this.” Justin said looking up at Bailey about to cry.  “I know Justin, but you didn’t.  Your here, that’s all that matters.” Bailey said softly.  “Your here and she knows it.” Chris added.            “That’s right daddy is here and he will always be here.” Justin said.  He got up and walked around the bed to Chris.  “It’s your turn to hold her.” Justin said offering him the baby.  “It’s not really my place.” Chris protested.  “You love her don’t you?” Justin asked nodding to Bailey.  “With all my heart.” Chris replied.  “Then it is your place.” Justin said setting the baby in his arms.  Chris looked at the baby then at Bailey.            “You have to admit for as crazy and mixed up as this is, it feels right.” Chris commented in regards to their situation.  “I wouldn’t have it any other way.” Bailey said confidently.  “Me either.” Justin chimed in.              Bailey spent the night in the hospital and was later released with her baby.  Things were odd at first and the media was dying to see the pop stars baby, but they kept her out of the spot light.  Later that year Chris and Bailey were married and Justin was the man of honor.  They had joint custody of their daughter, which they had agreed on before she was even born.   Justin understood and respected Chris as being the step-father to his child.  A few years later Justin was pleased when he found out the Bailey was expecting again.  Melody would have a sibling which later turned out to be plural, as they were expecting twins, a boy and a girl.              Chris was pleased and nervous about the new arrivals.  But Justin offered him some comforting words.  When Chris asked Justin if he thought he would make a good father, Justin replied that, “He shouldn’t have to ask whether or not he was going to be a good father, after all he had enough faith in him that he trust him with his own child.” The end
