It was one of the nastiest car crashes LA had seen in a while.  A semi had toppled over onto the five lane freeway, completely smashing two cars, while another four slammed right into the pile up.  Killed, in critical condition, they said all over the news.  No one dared mention the names of those involved on the news- no one deserved to know from the television that someone they loved was invloved in that mess.

            As the paramedics pulled the young man from the crumpled convertible, one of them felt it to remark, “oh damn.  Thank god they’re keeping the newsmongers away.  Lord only knows if this one will make it.”
