In the small southern town of Birdy, Georgia, marrying your high school sweetheart and raising a few kids is where most dreams end, but Lora Elder has somehow finally convinced Justin Timberlake to have bigger plans for himself, and when he gets an offer to play college baseball, she’s certain that they can blaze a trail out of Birdy and make something more of their lives. But just before graduation when Justin’s dreams come crashing down around him and his best friend runs off to plan her own future, a future without him, he’s stuck in his own personal hell with no one to turn to except an old house and the broken pieces of a less than perfect life for himself. On her own, Lora comes to realize that the biggest dreams aren’t always the best ones, but when she and Justin are reunited, is it too little too late? Do you have to lose something to realize just how bad you need it?
