wow.  what MORE can happen to this couple?!?!  I liked the wedding scene.  Shift sliding down a bell pull from the steeple in her wedding dress is a great image.  Is it wrong that I want this couple to go out like Bonnie & Clyde though?

I like it.  Shift's a "rider."  She doesn't give a f*ck.   Tee hee.  She seems like the kind of girl who'd become a Marine not to fight for her country, but to be trained and licensed to kill.  In short, she's a psychopath. You know what's interesting?  If Shift and JT were vampires, no one would care about their ruthlessness and gore. 

Author's Response: Shift is a psychopath but so is everyone else in the club. I thought about old school MCs when I was outlining it plus my dad's part of an MC and of course I was inspired by SOA so....I kind of took pieces from all of that and put it together for my outline. But most stories have the female lead as being this damsel in distress that needs to be rescued and I kind of thought "You know, if Justin's this hardass biker, would he really go from that damsel in distress type? Or would he want someone who could hold their own?" And so Shift was born.

I'm really enjoying this story - I think it's funny that I'm reading this right after watching a NatGeo special about 1%er OMCs.  coincidence?

a little continuity error: I think in the last chapter, it said that JT and Shift had shared a room since they were both 9?  And here we learn that they're 3 years apart in age.

Oh I love that. I've been watching Gangland on the History channel and they had the Warlocks on and they talked about 1%ers too! 

Hmm...I could have sworn it said that Justin had been sleeping in her room since he was nine but nothing about Shift being nine too. I don't know I would have to reread it. I've forgotten! lol

My sniper rifle is up there. There’s shotguns under the pews, your .45 is under the alter and in the girls dressing room there’s ammo and some AK-47s from the warehouse and a couple of grenades. You know I like to be prepared.

ok.... first off i LOVE Trace! the whole walking into the court house minus his cut and everything was just... omgheissocute!
