I just wanted to pop in and leave a quick review, cause I realized I read this all in one go when it was first feature and never said anything (I'm a forgetful asshole, my apologies) but just wanted to say I loved it.
Callie's such a wonderful character--very three-dimensional. Charming and vulnerable, stubborn and a pain in the ass, exceptionally smart and occasionally completely obtuse and just generally lovely. She's very realistic, very flawed, and I loved her. Kudos to you for writing such a great original character.
Admittedly, I'm a Justin writer and a lot of times will lean towards those stories, but I do love JC too and I think you've written him very, very well. He's familiar enough that I picked up mannerisms and personality traits from what we already know about him but you completely made him your own, and within the story, his own person.
I love the progress of their relationship and the fact that it never felt forced or unnatural. By the end of it, it made complete sense why they ended up together, not that it was written for the sake of a happy ending.
Anyway, awesome story lady. I look forward to reading more from you.

It's inspired by Daughtry 'It's Not Over' though. Sort of popped into my head while I was listening.

I can totally relate with the relationship she has with Curtis. Now makes sence why I felt connected with the title
okay... that was great and all, but Callie is too much of a character to only have 13 chapters... LOL! I hope you're working on a sequel missy! :)
She's got a lot more to work through and it'd be interesting to see if JC can survive through it... though he's been great so far.
I love her dimensions! it always kept things interesting... I was always wondering what would come out of her mouth next! lol! And Paula was also a great character, Jason too. You wrote them well :)
Overall I loved this, hate to see the end, but loved the ride. Hopefully we'll see Callie again? *wink wink, nudge nudge* ... vivalavix and I vote it revolve around her getting JC back into his own music! no credit needed! lol!
Author's Response: I need to lay Calllie down for a bit, get her out of my system. I might come back to it in a few months and add more and polish the last few chapters. I rushed through them because I just wanted to finish it. Now I need to let it sit and circle around it and stare at it for awhile til an idea comes to me.
