LOL! I had to laugh at the memories this story brought back to me. I taught for 18 years and remember very well those "meet the teacher" days.
I love your Justin...very quiet, a little self-conscious while, at the same time, knowing just how to interact with the variety of characters you produced.
Your Donna was believable as was her mother. Liz is a hoot...I hope you further develop her character.

Hee! I based the "meet the teacher" on my son's meeting of his Kindergarten teacher and how nervous he was that no one would like him... And how nervewracked I was because my baby boy was going to school *sniffle* - I'm glad you love Justin. I adore writing him, especially when I can create my own history for him. - Donna is based on my daughter (who is also four and extremely precocious for her age.
