That place does exist in Palm Springs! :-D I was thinking about this update today, trying to follow the next logical step. May be a while before there is an update. Author's Response: \o/ It's so great when something just .. happens... you don't plan for it or mean for it to happen, it just comes out. I worked hard at this chapter but the end part just came out. I think every relationship has these little hurdles that you jump and you hope you jump them together, but sometimes not. They each have their own individual things to work out-- but there are hurdles now that they can jump together and hopefully that's comforting and gives the relationship some strength.
Sorry for my lack of reviews on the other chapters but I just kept on reading through, and now I am completely caught up!!
Okay this man is sexy, sweet, caring, adorable, kinky, and did I mention sexy?? Of course she is going to fall for JC. I do hope Serena doesn't get hurt, but it seems like JC has just as much at stake as she does. So I don't want either one to get hurt.
And now I can say, I cannot wait for the next update!

What can I say? You already know how much I love the story. It's so grown up...if that makes sense. It doesn't get lost in the whimsical and I love that it's so real. I think that Serena and JC have a really good thing going and I hope they keep it up. Update soon..... Amazing!

Okay I really get what you mean now. So in a way he has skeletons, just not in a way I would normally expect from a fictional character. Don't get me wrong I do love me some good soap opera drama, but I am starting to understand your story a little better.
I can totally see the real JC have to go through something like this. Trying to get the girl he likes to see him as a guy, not as a album cover.
But as a fan, I couldn't imagine trying to separate the two. Especially after having been a fan for so long. It would be way too difficult to look at him in the face and not think about what I read about him in interviews or even the JC I have come to know through fanfiction stories. Maybe that is really why so many celebrities don't marry "everyday" people. Probably is easier to deal with another celebrity. You think you know the guy, but guess we just need "to find out what happens... when people stop being polite... and start getting real...The Real World... JC Chasez". Sorry couldn't resist it, it kept popping into my head as I was typing this.

You make me want to hang out in Atlanta. Never been there, but all of a sudden it sounds like fun.
Your JC feels so real-world, but I feel like there are some hidden skeletons in this version's closet. Not sure why, but I am starting to get a feeling that we are not getting all the information on him. I mean I feel like I know so much because of my love for JC Chasez, but still there seems to be a missing puzzle piece to THIS version of JC. Or maybe it is my pessimistic attitude towords fiction. I am always just waiting for something to pop out and end all the happiness. I never get comfortable with the characters being so happy. Although I hope they continue being happy, because that means I get to read about Serena and JC's sex life.
Okay I really am going to go try and get something accomplished in my real life instead of living in this story.
Author's Response: Not so much skeletons, but what I wanted to bring across is that behind every public persona, there is a private one. There are probably lots of little things people assume about him that are no longer relevant, or weren't true in the first place, or not something that anyone should hear and profess to 'know' him. The crux of the story is Serena getting past everything she *thinks* she knows about him and getting to know him as he really is and if she's able to do that, she'll reap the benefits of earning his trust. I don't want to spoil the story for you but there's a lot that they'll help each other work through-- and the happiness is a focal point, it's something they want, so they work hard to keep it. At the same time, the relationship itself is a bit unrealistic, at least for Serena, so there's a balance she needs to strike in wanting to be with him and feeling inadequate and undeserving of attention from him -- there's always going to be skepticism, as in 'what's he want from her, why's he with her, etc'. rnrnIt wouldn't be good fiction if there was no conflict and a little drama but don't expect soap opera theatrics....*thinks ahead...*okay not a lot of soap opera theatrics! :D rnrnAgain, thanks for your thoughtful review, I hope I set your mind at ease!

Okay so this story was suggested to me last night, and I have not read through this chapter!! I apologize for not leaving a comment on any of the other chapters, but I got so wrapped up in the story I just wanted to keep reading!! If it wasn't for having to go to stupid classes I would still be reading!
You have excellent characterization of JC. Very close to what I imagine he would be. And I must say I am very attracted to your fictional JC.
I also LOVE the dialogue. It seems so very real to me, like it is exactly how people talk. There isn't all the mushy-gushy-how-we-WANT-people-to-talk bullcrap. It is very real and very fun to read.
And the more I learn about Serena the more I want to know. It is great that we are starting to learn about who she is and what makes her tick, and not just how she is in bed (although the love scenes... HOT DAMN). I am really getting into her whole history.
So now I am off to one of those pesky classes, but I hope I can procrastinate on some more of my homework and read a few more chapters tonight!

I was going to wait until I read all of the chapters until I reviewed but I couldn't wait...YAYAYAYAYAY!!! That was by far the hottest JC scene ever! I love that you love him the way I do...he doesn't get appreciated as much as he should and I thank you for doing that. That chapter was beautiful and so yummy!
