Great start! I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes.
I really like the way you use language. "The place always smelled of perfume and chicken. Don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing. I’m indifferent." I can almost smell the perfume and chicken myself. It's an interesting pairing and the passage really seared in my brain.

I sure hope she's not that young lol but if Kyle is a highschool art teacher I'm going to be really sad. We barely know anything about Lucy and I already want her out of the picture. Update soon. :)
