I initially started reading this story 'cause I thought you were writing about the actual Hotel Cafe in LA (since she is moving to Cali and all).
But even though the hotel cafe ended up being in Nashville, I still love this story.
Your depiction of driving pretty much sums it up. I've moved from NY to TN to CA (coincidentally), and each of those places holds a special place in my heart. And every time I remember the drive, I remember wanting to shoot myself in the face.
Looking forward to reading more. Love to find more about her encounter with Justin after the show--if there is one. Or perhaps their life is ill-fatedly intertwined. :)
Keep up the good work. (ps--I highly suggest all y'all check out the Hotel Cafe. The only music place that's like family here, and they're notorious for great performers in the singer/songwriter scene. They helped discover Meiko, Colbie Collait, Ernie Halter, and Thao with the Get Down Stay Down).
