*tear yes domestic violence is such a sick cycle, it just keeps on going until one of them ends up severely injured. :( This story reminds me of two movies, "No One Would Tell." and the JLo movie "Enough"
I know how manipulative freaks can be, first they love you then they argue with you, and promise that they would never do it again, and they actually do, My mom has gone through this, but all is well now, I am glad.. :)
Great writing though..
Author's Response: A couple of days before I started writing this, I actually watched "Enough" again. It wasn't on my mind when I started writing but I thought about it towards the end and had to watch it again. So sorry for your mom, I'm glad all is well with her now though. <3
Author's Response: Thank you! My friend has finally convinced me that making people cry when they read what I'm writing is a GOOD thing, so that's a huge compliment!
Thank you for participating in the challenge and writing a great story that also brings awareness to Domestic Violence Awareness Month! Amazing job!!
Author's Response: Thank you so much!
“I don't know how this happened,” she said, feeling his eyes burning on her. “I'm not that person that lets someone beat her, am I?”
Okay, you made me cry. Thank you for writing this story. Not just for the wonderful story, but to acknoledge that domestic violence does happen. No one starts out being the victim...it happens over time. Loved it!
Author's Response: You're welcome! It's an important issue to me because it's a close issue. I heard the song and KNEW I had to write it. Thank you for reviewing! <3
