OK, I just happened on this story and you really need to update it because I HAVE to know what happens next! I really love your writing style, the descriptions from Chris and JC hiding out are great! And I nearly laughed out loud at the line, "He knew that Janelle didn't have the best personality, great morals, or good money management, but she was an overall good girlfriend, right?"
