Well, first of all, I hate you. No, I’m joking. Ok, maybe just a bit.
You already know how I feel about this chapter, but here it goes one more time. Because, well, I enjoy reading what other people comment. I like knowing how differently others thought of the same thing I read. Plus, I'm just nosy :)
The song was perfect. Sometimes when lyrics are incorporated into the writing, it takes me a second or two to figure out the song. This time, however, I just knew it. I saw it. I saw the whole scene. I saw how something as innocent as tinkering on the keys could lead to this huge landslide. It only takes a little bit of wind to cause a tidalwave.Three lines stood out: 1) she wanted parts of her life part à uh, hello! We all wish there was a fucking rewind button! It simply broke my heart knowing she was human. Because she is, and your writing has humanized her. 2) Listen to her words. She’s telling you her entire story à We don’t hide. People hurting don’t hide. It’s the people around them that don’t hear their calls for help. I loved Trey. He is heaven-sent. 3) She was his breath of fresh air à And vice versa. Right? It was just perfect. I love how you continue to tease us. That’s what you are. A huge tease! Great job!
S/N: the kiss scene is perfect. Keeping it simple, yet leaving some mystery about it. I liked it a lot.Author's Response: Let me start by again thanking you. You are amazing <3 We talk about how incredible that song is all the time, but there was something about ‘creating that titalwave’ for her to go through that seemed to fit and lines of that song (will) explain more of her story, more of her history.I heart Trey. I just adore him and want him in my life. That line “Listen to her words. She’s telling you her entire story…” I loved the idea of taking a song and deciphering it like you would a poem. Look beneath the lines and the words to listen to her story! In time that will happen. And yes, you can hate me, because I know you really secretly love me!

I don't have another word to use for that song, it is just simply incredible. I love everything from the melody, echo of that pianio, her voice, and the lyrics. I love every piece of it.
Really, go find the live version on Youtube. The studio verision is great but the live version will give you chills. AMAZING. (By the way Sara just released a 'Live from Soho' EP which has an incredible live version on it!)

This is very different for me. I started writing it during Secret Santa, only because I couldn’t get the idea out of my head. Then I put it aside because I thought my thoughts were too crazy and too scattered, but somehow, someway it seems to be working out. I was hoping the ‘bits and pieces’ idea was going to come across and not just make sense to me. The back story will unfold, I promise!
