Wow..thats a pretty good quote! Very true though, you hold up all those emotions inside, and one day, you just have to let it out. And I think who the unexpected visitor is, hmm..I'm gonna have to read the next chapter to find out.. :)
Oh..and P.S I never knew you had DevianArt, I have one too! Though I only made two drawings of the Powerpuff Girls and other things..lolz I don't go there much, but if you wanna have a look at them, the acct is under the same username..I did find you, but didn't know how to add you..
Author's Response: I seldom cry myself, but sometimes even I reach a point where I just can't help it. Yes, I have a DA page, and I go there fairly often.
Yeah *NSYNC and their songs have that much impact on people, I remember when things felt really down for me, it was some family issues and stuff, and some of their songs have kept me going. Its a great feeling, no other band/artist can make me feel what they make me feel, did that make sense?? LOL
Anyways...I also like like ABBA too, "The Winner Takes it All" is one of my faves.. :)
Author's Response: Makes perfect sense to me. Even after all these years, some of their songs continue to move me, such as "Music of My Heart." I don't think I could ever get sick of that song. And ABBA is awesome as well; "The Winner Takes It All" gets me every time, too. You have good taste.
Sheri! The name fits :D Well thats nice, maybe Sheri can explain to Joey about the details of what happened to her..poor girl had lost her leg though, that is so awful.
And I do like the cover page, its pretty neat. Nice job on this chapter.. *reads the next one*
Author's Response: Thank you very much! And happy reading!
Author's Response: Now you know, obviously.
Wowsers is right..
These lines here: You’ll get through this the same way everybody else does, sir—one day at a time.” Hopefully I think Joey would overcome this, he has his four best friends to be there with him through thick and thin, and this is not gonna be an easy task, it'll be difficult, though I have never(nor anyone that I know) experienced something like this, and I don't wish this for anyone.. :( But I love the fact that you are writing this and you can show readers about the experieces you had with your mom regarding this.
Good chapter though..
Author's Response: That's how I got through it, one day at a time, and friends, family, and God kept me going. While I still wish my mom never had cancer, I can't very well say I'd give up those priceless life lessons.
I'm glad your mom's cancer was treatable, that is so good to know.. *hugs*
Now, on to the chapter, poor Joey, and the reaction of the guys have no words.. :(
I would like to read the next chapter so i can find out whats gonna happen next..
Author's Response: Yeah, that was the good news, but it was awful to hear that it was cancer to begin with, and she didn't get better in a hurry. For a while, I wasn't sure I was going to make it myself. I kept wishing it was some nightmare that I could wake up from and everything would be okay. So you can tell that I know what I'm talking about in this story. In spite of the grim topic, it actually feels good to write something like this; sort of therapeutic, you could call it. And I'm being merciful and giving Joey a chance for recovery, too. Feel free to read this any time and leave as many reviews as you like.
Author's Response: Thanks very much! I love ABBA, too, and "Super Trouper" ranks among my all-time favorites. It's one of those classic make-you-feel-better-about-yourself songs.
Loving this story! Also, your banner is super sweet! I wish I had the talent for those!
Keep up this awesome work!
Alysen B.
Author's Response: Thank you, for both your review and your compliment. Putting something like my cover page together is actually quite simple, if you have a good understanding of layers and special effects in Photoshop.
Yes, laughter is the best medicine.. :)
And these lines here: JC said, “If they’d tried that on me, I would be out the door before they came anywhere near me with that thing. In fact, forget the door; I’d just go straight through the window!” LMAO! I can just imagine..
Though the tests sound scary, but I'm gonna read the next chapter, to find out what happens next..
Author's Response: That's just the sort of thing JC would do, I imagine, especially considering how he once reacted to an ear thermometer!
Author's Response: I'll update when I'm good and ready.
Author's Response: Sorry if I'm making you cry, but that also pleases me because it means my story's convincing. Since I plan to be a REAL author someday, this is a valuable skill.
Author's Response: Sure hits close to home with me, too, as you can imagine. Thanks for reading!
*tear :( Yeah that dramatic music they play in the background, you have to grab some Kleenex tissues and prepare for the waterworks.
Now, I'm glad that Lance decided to stay with Joey for the night, and they are gonna take turns taking care of him, so thats nice. I know Joey would pull through this.. :)
Good job, thanks for the update..
Author's Response: That's just the kind of thing they'd do, I'm sure.
I loved this short description, I could see it in my mind like the guys were sitting right here in my living rooom. Well if that wouldn't be something awesome. Anyway, I am so glad you are writing a Joey story. And yes, I agree about needing more Joey, Chris and Lance stories. I hope you will keep going on this, even thought it gives me a slight twinge in my stomach to think of what is coming next...even though it is just a story. Great job!!
Author's Response: Thank you. I believe in providing enough detail to give my readers a good idea of what's happening while leaving some room for imagination.
Oh no! How awful.. :(
Honestly I actually thought that Joey was iron deficient or something..
I hate it when doctors break the "news", its always so frightening, you don't know what to expect.
Author's Response: Don't I know it. You don't want to be left in suspense, but not knowing also serves as a sort of shield.
