"Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog.." LOL couldn't resist..

I think JC is coming around, I really hope so, he's making light conversation with her, the thought of him talking about "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse." is cute.. :) So thats a start.

And I like that Annie put her foot down towards him, even though he got all defensive, but then again its JC.. :P

I also like these lines here, I can see Emma-Claire doing this..aww.. :) She was humming to herself as she ate and JC had to admit she looked pretty cute sitting there, a popsicle in her mouth, and swinging her legs back and forth without a care in the world.

Ok moving on, back to this:

I like how Jimmy explained to JC about him being a jerk, because right now, JC is being one..all of these lines:

“Hell no,” JC shook his head vehemently. “I’m not bringing an entourage across the country.”

“An entourage. Really,” Jimmy snorted. “Your kid and the nanny? You call that an entourage?”

“Whatever. I’m not starting all that. Besides, nobody knows about her yet and I like it like that,” JC turned away to listen to one of the tracks they’d just laid down.

“Um, you know that’s not going to last,” Jimmy turned the volume down on the board, ignoring JC’s protest. “I’m pretty sure word’s gonna get out. You can’t keep her locked up in that house forever like Rapunzel.”

“I know that. She’s at preschool as we speak,” JC moved Jimmy’s hand away from the control panel, but Jimmy disregarded it. “Dude, seriously, lemme fuckin listen to the track!”

“C, you’re acting like this doesn’t exist. It exists. You have a kid and you at least need to acknowledge that!” Jimmy snapped at him and JC frowned.

“Do you know why I was late today? Cause my fucking kid spilled coffee on me! So trust me, I acknowledge her!” JC’s temper flared and he stood to his feet. “I wish everyone would get off my damn back about it. She shows up on my doorstep a week ago and I’m automatically supposed to develop feelings towards her. But I can’t. I can’t.”

And now Emma Claire doesn't even want to talk to her own dad.. :(

“The last time I checked, it takes two to do what you did, Joshua. It’s no more her fault than yours. Yes, she should’ve told you, we’ve been over that. But she didn’t and she’s gone now and you have a responsibility.

Thats right! So JC, you BETTER come around, I mean, come on..Emma Claire is a little girl, and she wants to be loved..you should KNOW that.. hmph.

And Annie has so much patience...

*reads next chapter*

These lines here:

“Mr. Chasez? Hello. I’m Dr. Carnes’ nurse. I wanted to let you know that the test results are in and the match was 100% positive. In fact, we’ve never seen a match come back so fast,”

“Um, yeah, great. Thanks,” JC hung up and threw the phone on the couch. “Well, I guess it’s all true, then. I’m her dad.”

Yes you are! And I hope you are proud of it..and Karen is trying so hard to try to convince him.

I also like the fact that this is how JC releases stress: “I need to go clear my head,” and before she could protest, JC bounded down the stairs to his recording studio and shut himself inside for the rest of the day. He pounded out notes on the piano, he strummed harshly on an electric guitar, and he beat the drums so hard that he thought he might stab a hole in the snare drum. He didn’t care. It was his way of releasing stress and his way of trying to cope with what had happened in the last week to rock his world and turn it upside down in a way that could never be turned back.

But anyway, good chapter, I'll read/review the rest soon.. :)
