Bravo. Bra-freakin'-vo. Working on telling the story of frustration and longing in an age-gap relationship is tough but, girl, you knocked it out of the park! Like I said, it's a realistic take that I'm very appreciative of and found very satisfying even if they aren't together here (which, I mean, you can always add an epilogue in the future to see what happens. Just sayin'. No pressure.)
As you know, I love reading Zahra and JC no matter which way I get it. Her sass coupled with his fact-based outlook is something I'll eat up with a spoon no matter how many different ways you serve it. And I think what makes me so connected is I get it.
I get that feeling of wanting to be with someone that just doesn't view you the same way for one reason or another. You have a way of putting my feelings down on paper that makes me feel less crazy for having them in the first place. An artiste, you are! Also, very motivating I have to say. After reading this, it's kicked me in the ass to get more of my own nsync fics done. I've written bits and pieces over the years but now this has really jumpstarted me diving back in.
Thank you for writing this. Thank you for sharing with us. Thank you for helping me feel seen. Love ya!
You have a very nice and realistic take to the age gap between them; JC being hesitant becuase he's so much older is very him and very real (five years may not be a lot to Zahra but on JC's end it's the difference between dating and jailbait). Whereas, on Zahra's side, the teenage rose tinted glasses are in effect which is very real and true to people around her age.
Their endless merry-go-round is a ride I don't want to see end but, of course, there has to be some sort of conclusion somewhere. Hopping over to the next one to see how this wraps up!

Thanks for commenting!
:)
Author's Response: Thanks anon!!
Author's Response: Right. Having to go back and write Zahra after I'd already fleshed out who she was, it was difficult not to accidentally change her. But like putting down an instrument and picking it up once more, everything naturally fell into place.
Atta girl! Glad you decided to keep this new one going.
Kudos to Zee for calling JC out on his double standards of gender roles. Pounce on that man and teach him a lesson. LOL!
Author's Response: Definitely, I made sure to get out what I wanted to get out and finish it before I posted.
Author's Response: Exactly, she has pride, but so does he and sometimes it results in them butting heads (for YEARS down the line).
Author's Response: Right, I cringe often and end up having to go back, lol. But thanks for the welcome back. Hopefully I will be able to post more things.
Author's Response:
Indeed, very critical. Sometimes it helps, but it can also be a hindrance.
Thanks!
Author's Response:
I sure do, but you know it is. My return is nothing. I'm waiting for YOUR return. I hope it'll be soon. :D
Thanks!
*My heart* I think you know how much I love the JC, JT, & Me series, so I'm excited to see you back!
I get the whole cringe-worthy writing thing, believe me, I almost deleted my stories on multiple occasions. I kow that an author is always their toughest critic, but I really love the series and the way you wrote it (I read it twice). This series is one of my favorite fanfics.
Ok, I'm done awkwardly fangirling now. Welcome back!
Author's Response:
I DO know how much you love the series. You've been a very loyal reader and reviewer, and I'm very grateful for that considering how I feel now about the series.
Thanks!
Author's Response:
I really appreciate your generosity and will definitely let you know if I need any help.
Thank you!
