Ahh this was a good chapter. It was nice to see Justin manning up to his mistakes. He was right in the sense that people seemed to humanize him. He's a normal man who makes normal mistakes... instead of some superhuman person who is perfect.
Anyways... I think the whole birthday scene of Justin especially loving to spend time with Kiki and Cheyenne was just showing Justin's true feelings. Honestly, Cameron is just a piece of ass to Justin... he has needs as all men do and she's filling that for him. He obviously connects on a higher level with Kiki and also has something special in common with her... Cheyenne.
The paparazzi thing was some bullshit! I got so riled up reading that! It was a total invasion of privacy and personal space. I wouldn't have blamed Kiki for punching that guy out. What a smart ass! I love how Justin came to Kiki and Cheyenne's defense. He got so angry for them... it shows his TRUE feelings.
I want that family back together... make it happen pwease. lmao. Amazing chapter as usual... update soon!

This chapter definitely showed how much Justin has changed. He's manned up and taken charge of his life and his career. But he still needs to take charge of one more part of his life. Hmm I would what that, or better yet who that is? ;) LoL.
I can't say that your description of Cameron is wrong. Hers and Justin's relationship doesn't have a lot of substance to it. You're right he does have a stronger,, much stronger, connection with Kiki, a child that bonds them for life, and remember the two of them had a strong physical attraction back in the day.
Now as far as the family being reunited....Patience is a virtue. Hehehehe

Oh and I almost forget - yeah I saw 30 Seconds to Mars a few years ago with Flyleaf opening for them actually. They were both awesome! Jared sounded and looked all kinds of good! LoL. I've been a Flyleaf fan ever since, but I'd been a 30 Seconds to Mars fan since their first album - a Jared Leto fan since My So Called Life (Why oh why did they cancel that show?!). You're probably gonna want to throw eggs at me but I gotta tell you this. My ticket for the show cost 94 cents. *Running for cover*

LOVE Kiki more than ever..I've always adored strong characters, and the girl is certainly that. BTW..her reaction to Justin trying to bring up the past was quit interesting. She has totally forgave him for not stepping up with Cheyenne..she couldn't be more supportive otherwise...BUT..Justin REALLY hurt her deeply when he broke her heart.
She had a pregnancy and a baby to prepare for soon after the break up..I don't think she ever had a chance to come to terms with what happened. She is a woman who loved a man, and he stomped on what they had. She never got to move on...Not even with a rebound relationship. Wonder if Justin will realize that he's NOT forgiven for THAT part of it?
I say, Come ooonnnn....Give Kiki a lvoe interest!!!!! lol I want to see jealous Justin! lol

I'm a fan of strong female character too, in movies and stories, so from the start my plan was to definitely have Kiki fit that bill. She is not one to play with. LoL
OMG girl are you like psychic? You nailed it! That is exactly what Kiki went through. It was like one on top of the other - a broke heart and then boom she's pregnant by the person who broke her heart. She had to make a choice, which was more important, breaking down and possibly hurting herself and her baby or staying strong and health in every aspect for herself and her baby. She choose to bury her heartache and do what she had to for her child. But burying it does not mean she really dealt with it. There are still a lot of emotions inside Kiki and Justin too that have to come to the surface. There is still drama left to unfold and don't worry that includes a visit from Green Eyed Justin. :D

Yes Cameron and Justin are still together and she is dealing pretty well with the situation. Is Cameron ready to take on stepmotherhood, will Justin even ask her to take on the new role? Hmm?

Well all I can say is that was pretty heartwarming. The party with the "inner circle" was perfect. Everything it should be. It's good that Justin see's what he's been missing all this time. He is learning a lesson, and that's what makes us humans better people. We screw up, and we learn.
Of course Justin couldn't get comfortable back at his own house. When he left that condo he left his family there..and I don't just mean Cheyenne. He may not be ready to face it but there is more between him and Kiki than a daughter. They are a family.
I know she's an innocent bystander but I got a little satisfaction from Cameron's jealousy. (that's not nice of me I know) Can't blame her for her jealousy...and I have a feeling that it's going to get worse.I don't believe Justin will be stopping his time with Cheyenne AND Kiki.
I have said this before..but I think a little love interest for Kiki might be in order soon. Might be what Justin needs to get his head out of his ass.??

Author's Response: Justin is also learning about family and how important it is - how family sticks together and leans on each other. He's got this new big family that has a great time together - eating good food and have good laughs, but he's also got his own family whether or not he realizes it right now. You hit the nail right on the head when you talked about him and Kiki being more than just parents together. Sooner or later they're both going to have to open their eyes and see that.
I swear you're like reading my mind when it comes to this story. Cameron's the odd man out right now - its easy to feel a little bit sorry for her, its got to feel very uncomfortable. Justin's not about to let anything keep him from his daughter (Kiki too? *shrugging my shoulders* Can't confirm that right now *wicked grin*)so if she complains it'll just cause friction in her relationship with him and make her look bad. She's in a complicated position and I can't say how, but its not going to get better.

Author's Response: The most I can say without giving anything away is that right now Cameron's nice-ness is her being polite, just like Kiki and the inner circle's nice-ness (is that even a word?) is out of politeness. How long can that last though?

Omg that scene where Cheyenne called Justin Daddy was so cute. I could almost picture the excitment in his face. That little girl has really chnaged him for the better and thank god for it.

Justin and Cheyenne have such an adorable relationship. They are steady growing closer and closer. Having a child is definitely changing Justin, he's growing up and learning what really matters in life.
That scene in Kiki's bedroom is such a representation of hers and Justin's relationship. I wish I could elaborate on that, but it might give away what's in store for them in the near future. The most I can tell you is that you're probably going to want to smack the two of them even more in the up and coming chapters. Drama, drama, drama is on the horizon. I just hope I don't drive you too crazy. LoL.

Yeah Cheyenne is definitely going through the fight of her life, but even at a young age, she's strong partly due to the loving parents and family that she has. Luckily she's almost at the finish line and with her Daddy as her own personal hero, she's looking very much like a winner. OK..first..Grandpa Wilson was awesome..He sure put Kiki's Dad and Brother in their place! It was still good that they got to vent out on Justin though..There was a lot of supressed anger..now the air is truly cleared.
Ok..I would say that Justin got a case of the green Monster when Shai came to visit Kiki. I liked it so well..I wouldn't mind seeing a little more jealouse Justin. Since he's the one that ended things..it's nice to see him like that. Whether he want to admit how he feels about Kiki or not..he can't hide that jealousy! LOL
Very touching scene when Cheyenne's little buddy came to visit her. I'm so wanting her to get well in this story!

Author's Response: Well as we knew Justin definitely has experience with the Green Eyed Monster when it comes to Kiki and now that he's back in her life, that green tint in his eyes is only going to get darker. A lot of the air concerning Cheyenne is getting clearer, but the air between her parents is only going to get thick. The second issue between Justin and Kiki is about to take the forefront. anyway, I love Wilson. He's just so wise and I loved how Freddy and Derek just closed their mouths when he intercepted. He's just awesome! The fact is, Justin messed up, but he's awknowledging it and he is truly sorry. They really shouldn't have belittled him but thank God for Wilson. He really ended all that tension.
Now.. while Shai is extremely sexy... I have a bit of a bad feeling about him. I'm getting this vibe that someone is about to spill the news about Cheyenne. I'm wondering if its going to be Shai or Cameron. Cameron is the bitter girlfriend and Shai is the longing ex... it makes sense. Either way, its going to either push or pull Kiki and Justin. I'm hoping it pushes them together.
Might I say, I'd like to slap Justin. It's okay for him to have a girl... but he suddenly gets jealous when Kiki is with someone?! Oh he's such a hypocrite! You know... if he was smart he'd think.. "hmm... im jealous that the mother of my child is possibly dating someone... does that mean maybe i have feelings for her?!" of course not though. men are so oblivious. lol
and the fact that justin just showed up in the hospital right after the premere. he definitely has his priorities straight... he just needs to see them. kiki definitely does and i think its shocking her. dedicated justin is not one shes used to.

Author's Response: Girl, I was missing my own story. I just had no motivation even though I wanted to finish this chapter. Finally I found some drive and got it done. Hopefully my next update will go a little smoother. My creative juices feel like their flowing pretty good right now lol.rnrnOne of the reasons Kiki is so close to her grandfather is because they're a lot of like. They both cut through the BS and are quick to put people in check when they are not acting right. Both Wilson and Kiki don't hesitate to crack that whip especially at their family hot heads - Freddy and Derek.rnrnShai and Cameron....Yes they could cause some problems for Justin and Kiki. It definitely wouldn’t be in the form of spilling the beans though. Those two aren’t crazy enough to do that. Justin and Kiki would – channeling Tanisha from Bad Girls Club here – pop off. LoL (This season kicked ass with her on it). If anything Shai just created a catalyst for Justin. Like you said he was jealous and soon or later he's going to start connecting the dots when it comes to his emotions towards Kiki. Its not that he's doesn't feel anything for her, its just that he kind of cut himself off from those feelings. Shai's just one of the things that are going to force him to start facing them. But will Cameron hinder that? Well she's basically the rebound girl and we all know what happens to the rebound girl ;) rnrnI just love your reviews and the way you interpret the characters and their interactions.
