First of all, you picked a great song. It's one of those songs that can make me cry (just like poor Lance!).
The description of all the flowers and what they meant to him was very romantic. I liked how the story fast forwarded a few years and kept the story moving without going too far ahead. And when Chris comes to the hospital, it kind of confirms the fact that they were married (which I kind of assumed at that point already), but is a nice flash back.
I was afraid it was going to be a sad story and Lance was going to die, but I'm very glad that he didn't and it made the story that much better. Thanks for sharing it, it was a pleasure to read.
