Author's Response: Yep, she does. I mean, even if she doesn't necessarily look it, her mom is black, so she can identify as whatever she wants, I s'pose! (And Rashida Jones, whose picture I used for Zooey, is actually biracial, so I didn't just pull that out of my ass lmao.)
