The slow torture is killing me!!!  I need them to get back together or close the book with a romp for the road or something!  The chemistry between the two of them is sick...really.  This is just too damn good girl!

Author's Response: It's killing me too!  And JC and Mayra!  lol...final resolution is coming, I promise.  I'm working on getting this next chapter out but it is being a little difficult and stubborn right now...kind of like these two characters! lol :)

How is it that every time I'm listening to a song, it pops up in your story....lol. I swear I'd just finished listening to 'You Ruined Me' and then the lyrics magically popped up. Nonetheless, I wonder why she said no. I mean, I know why I'D say no, but it could be more going on for Mayra. Most of all, what possessed JC to ask her to marry him? He's one of those guys that just doesn't seem to have marriage on his plate for a loooooong time. Either way, update soon. 

Author's Response: lol...it's a great song!  I was writing that scene and it just popped into my head so I had to use it :)  Mayra has her reasons and they will be explained in the next chapter.  Thanks for reading!!  <3

I like how you're writing this from the standpoint of both present time and a look back at memories.  It's hard to do but you're doing it fantastically!

awww, thanks!  I love using flashbacks to help tell a story.  It can be difficult at times but it's working well with this one.  Thanks for the love! :)

I know you just posted this chapter tonight, but PLEASE update soon. I am SO eager to see how this turns out. Poor JC, mayra really screwed with him. And I hope mayra doesnt shut him out again when he tries to talk to her.

Author's Response: I wasn't planning on having the song in there originally, but as I was writing this chapter out I was like...hey!  I know what I can use!  lol.  I am working on the next chapter.  We need to hear Mayra's side of the story and hopefully we'll be able to get some resolution for these two!  :)

i read this entire chapter with a smile on my face...thank you. Its so creepy that you described my studio apt that way, bc thats the way my real apt is. I have ZERO pictures up.

And, omg, I'm afraid. I'm afraid, and I want to know what frightens me. Excuse me, but if JC proposed to me, I'd accept (drunk or sober) BUT, I can understand my reaction. I think.
