I didn't read this whole chapter because one, the money that is missing seems to be too low for such a high end investment firm, it should be like 30 million missing...or something, especially for the FBI to be involved.
Second, I think I hate how Quincy is portrayed in this story. I guess it comes off as his is more dumb than having an accent, especially considering he's the only black person the story and then when he has to say stuff like "boss'll have me hide", it doesn't sound comfortable at all to me.
I really like this story too... but I think I have to give it up....unfortunately. It's rubbing me the wrong way.
Author's Response: It's unfortunate...I did a ton of research on embezzlement scandals, and the FBI has gotten involved in cases for even less than a million. Secondly, I was trying to portray an accent, I wasn't trying to stereotype a black person...nothing like that. But, everybody is entitled to their opinions, and maybe I'll go back and try to just write him...without an accent? I really don't know at this point, lol. Sorry to have offended you, if that is what you feel that I did.
