Yep, I can attest to the "emptiness" of a house when a loved one dies. The place is the same, the people who still live in it are the same, and yet it feels bigger, quieter, and you can just tell the difference.

Makes perfect sense that Josh would sing to his girls for as long as he could, and I'm glad Joey was there to offer comfort.

Here's hoping all the guys live to a ripe, healthy age. Here's hoping this kind of story remains purely fiction.

That is so sad. My mom had cancer and my dad died from a heart attack, so I can totally empathize. It's even sadder when little kids have to grow up without a parent, so my heart goes out to Lucy and Lily. (Cute names, by the way.)

Poor, Sophie. But, yay, Joey's arrived. I loved the description of everything that JC smelled like that she didn't want to part with. That was a nice touch.

So sad for Sophie to have lost the love of her life when it seemed their life together was just getting started. I hope there'll be a happy ending for Sophie and the girls in the end.

Author's Response: There will be and also there will be series of flashbacks
