This chapter got me excited for what would be happening in the next one.
The Beauty and the Beast/Stockholm Syndrome was probably my favorite part though because that's also my favorite Disney movie haha
Great job!
Author's Response:
Yay! Glad you're liking it!
Beauty and the Beast is my fav too!
Author's Response:
I'm loving writing Charlie. I hope I'm able to properly portray how I envision her personality in my head into words.
Thanks for the review!
he's getting under her skin, and i like it. ;-) i'm also really, really looking forward to getting into charlie's head more. what are her secrets?
also, there are a few topics i get very...uncomfortable with in fanfiction. they're potentially triggering and i find that a lot of people aren't capable of handling them with delicacy and nuance and...experience...they require. i know that sounds pretty obnoxious because who am i to tell someone what they can or cannot write about. all of that said, i'm very impressed with the way you've introduced charlie's self-harming. it's not heavy-handed or melodramatic. great job.
Author's Response:
Wow, thank you for your response. It truly means a lot to me. I knew the subject of self harming could be a touchy one. The subject of mental health is one that I take very seriously. It's a part of Charlie that the readers need to know but it by no means defines her; it's one of the many layers of her. People who live with mental health issues can be productive, contributing members of society while navigating through their way through trying times. Okay, I went off on a tangent. My apologies. :)
You by no means came across as obnoxious and I again thank you for comments. I appreciate that you feel I have handled the subject respectfully.
Author's Response:
Glad you're enjoying it so far. All will be revealed soon enough, I promise. :)
I'm trying not to rush their blooming relationship too quickly. I want a good build up. I have to pace myself because I have so many ideas and plot lines for this story.
