Ginger is flippin awesome and it sounds like her mom and my mom have been having conversations. I think Charlotte did the right thing. If she would have taken him back then, she would be more concerned with fixing his heart and not her own. What sense does it make to be in a relationship of any sort that would eventually make you resent the other person? She needs to take the time to heal herself before even giving the notion of a Charlotte and Justin a second thought. Two broken people being together just leads to bitterness.
And again, I'm sitting here thinking of them as a real couple and not something written from your wonderful imagination. This should be a book mama!

ok, I loved this chapter! I love that Charlotte isn't giving in to him. It shows how much she's grown. She's right: actions speak louder than words. Justin hasn't done anything except show her his feelings aren't really true. He may love her, but right now it's like he's running back to her because everything else has been taken away and he's looking for a security blanket. If he really does love her, like everyone says he does and like he's beginning to figure out for himself, then he needs to prove it to her. He needs to woo her or else leave her alone and allow her to heal and find someone else who can truly and completely love her.

Dangit! I knew this would happen! Stupid male idiot Justin! I have to mention, I loved loved loved the lobster reference. Love that episode. Secondly, leave it to Ginger to mess up the bar. Her character cracks me up! And lastly, as much as Justin is an idiot and pretty much deserves her to treat him exactly the same, Charlotte is his lobster!! They need to work this out.. even if theirs some distance between them, I need a happy ending!

Ok. have to tell you this. I saw there was an update for this story and had to then get up walk around my room, and kiss my puppy on the head i was so happy. im such a nerd.
anyways, great update as usual. good to to see charlie drunk and with a backbone.
and i loved the visual of justin trying to talk to a drunk a charlie and being distracted/interrupted by the insane mess that is trace and ginger.
all that being said....fix them! please. i dont know if i want some epic ending or something really simple...im kinda hoping its not an epilogue where five years have passed and he gets an invite to her wedding or some shit. lol. but please fix them. and if they do cue the music and ride of into sunset...some happy fluff about the two of them would be the best. Your the best. great work.

Justin can go straight to hell as far as I'm concerned. But I want Charlie to be happy and I think Justin could accomplish that. I think she should do it for herself, not for him. The first part, filled with "It's for the best" and "Drinks for everybody!" seriously had me going from giggling to cooing because Justin is so damn broken. And I had a feeling things would go south as soon as Trace said "I got this", because, really, life is not going so well for Justin right now.
Poor Charlotte, trying to keep busy but it's not working. Been there, done that.
Ginger. My God, Ginger... When she was first introduced she annoyed me but now she is just so fucking awesome. So not the airheaded bubblebrain I thought her to be. Though, Trace, you dog! LOL Are they drinking Pink Panty Pulldowns?? I LOVE them!! And when Charlotte said she wanted to throw him into oncoming traffic I was nodding so hard my glasses fell off, because I have wanted to throw the bastard in front of a few Mack trucks since the beginning of this story.
But he came and told her he loved her! *sigh* Of course she's drunk and pissed and left him, but he finally manned up enough to tell her. That counts, a little... He pours out his heart but she's too drunk and pissed right now to care and I cheered when she walked out because he can't just apologize and expect everything to be hunky-dory.
Beautiful update. Apologize for the long-assed review. Love, love, love this story and anxiously await the next chapter. Happy New Year!
Author's Response: Yeah poor Justin can't seem to catch a break. I like to think of it as Karma haha. What I loved about Ginger is that she was a sleeper character. One of those introed in the beginning (er middle I guess) to just provide hilarity and now look at her cinchin the ending *pets her* lol The drinks were Pink Panty Droppers which I assume are pretty much the same as Pulldowns haha. We make them with vodka, tequila, gin, and pink lemonaid. Charlotte finally getting to let Justin see what its like to be on the wrong end of the want but can't have stick was something I'd been waiting for for a long time.
