I am a big fan of your writing. Big fan. I'm having a tough time sinking my teeth into this piece though. ugh.
Like many, I assume, I hate Amelia. Oddly enough, in my head she sounds like "Azula" from the animated show "Avatar: the last airbender." As annoying as she is - and I get it, she's the obstacle in this little gem of a tale- I can't ... ugh. This version of JT... I don't like him. I just want him to grow a pair. And Charlotte, seems like more of a witness to all of this than a player.
I value what you can do with a sentence, so I'm so curious to see where you're taking these folks.

What a bitch that Amelia. She has control issues, she's overbearing and I think she really is a pod person. She's like an alien with her uptight self. And testing him? What the hell is that about? How could she not love him playing the piano and doing his music thing. What is was wrong with his pj's? Ugh what the hell is wrong with that woman? why is she trying to change him. She so stupid. She has no idea what a good man she has and she's going to lose him because of her stank attitude. Don't mind my ranting. lol. I just don't understand her. Was she always like this?
Anyway, I loved the little connection Justin and Charlotte had at the piano before they were interrupted. I can't wait for them to spend more time together...we all know hell will freeze over when Amelia gets suspicious of them, but Justin seriously needs to kick her to the curb.
