Chapter twenty

     They made their way past the large amount of screaming fans at the hotel and into the lobby. Juls had to admit, Nsync had a very large following. The fans knew where they were going to be at every moment before the guys themselves knew.

     As usual half the crew filled the ballroom. Juls had always wondered about how it would be coming to these. Being there now was a little strange. It was the first time she was in good terms with Justin during the whole tour. She never understood why he was the way he was with her in the beginning. But now that things had changed she didn't care to find out. Now that she was there she was wondering where he was as she looked through the crowd in the room.

"Hey Juls." Jc said with an exited tone, she didn't know how the guy could do it. He barely slept on tour yet he had enough energy to feed to the other four.

"Hey C, Good Show!"

"As good as cookies from a vending machine?"

     Juliana almost choked on the drink that she had just consumed when she heard Jc say the words. Jc stood there grinning. "Not even close, Jc." Juliana admitted. She figured what the hell? They were all going to find out eventually, seeming since they were so close. "Where is the cookie man anyway?"

"He was in the shower when I left the room. He'll be right down. I'm heading to our table. Coming?" Juliana put her hand in his as they walked to their table.

"Where's Britney?" Bobbie asked as Jc and Juls reached the table.

"She went to the ladies room. Wade is right over there waiting for her." Juls said pointing at the spiky haired Australian hottie at the door.

"What's up with those two?" Bobbie asked looking at Wade. "Can't waste time in this business huh?"

"Bobbie?" Jc said in warning. Bobbie had a habit of analyzing things and putting things together that usually wouldn't go together.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean that. I guess it's the journalist I me. Sue me." Jc and Juls laughed. Soon after Lance and Joey showed up freshly showered and just as hyper as they always were after a show.

"So Juls? Did you like the show?" Lance asked taking a sip of his drink.

"Loved it. I don't know how you guys do it. But it's amazing."

"I think you only loved `girlfriend' to be honest." Joey said.

"Oh whatever, Italian stallion? Who the hell made that shirt?" Julian said throwing a peanut at him.

"I'll get you for that. I promise." Joey said laughing as he got up from the table and headed towards the bar.

     Chris showed up about fifteen minutes later and sat with Dani across Juliana. Danielle was a beautiful person and Chris was just Chris and you had to love him for it. They were lucky to have each other. Seeing them like this brought back memories of the times they had come into Jake's.

"Hello."

"Hi. I was beginning to think you weren't going to show up at your own party"

"Well I'm glad I was missed. Did you want another drink?" Justin asked looking at the empty glass in front of her.

"No thank you I'm alright."

"Did you enjoy the show?"

"Well..." Juliana looked at him " yeah of course I did"

"Why don't you sound completely sure of that Juls?" Justin asked smiling. He knew what she was going to say.

"Well THAT right there is what has me a little nervous."

"What? Your name? Now you know what it feels to have someone you..." Justin was about to say that he cared for her when an annoying Jc interrupted him.

"Share cookies with?" Jc added.

"SHUT UP C!!!!" surprisingly Juls and Justin said at the same time. Everyone at the table laughed and Jc felt like an ass.

"That's what you get, babe."  Bobbie said laughing.

"Would you dance with me?" Justin asked ignoring the stares that were upon them.

"I'd love to." he took her hand and led her to the ballroom dance floor.

     Justin smiled when a slow song started playing. A song that when he first heard it was immediately linked to Juliana. He had grown very familiar with the song. He listened to the song every time he would have an outburst with her. It calmed him down. And now there he was, dancing to the same song with the girl he associated it with.

     Juliana looked up at him and was lost in his eyes. Those eyes that she couldn't resist. They danced like they were the only two in the room.

     Justin smiled down at her. While his hands slipped up and down her back. He couldn't believe he waited this long for this moment. He was truly falling inlove with her and the moment he put his arms around her he realized it even more. How can someone affect him without saying much? This was all new to him and a risk. A risk he was willing to take a million times just to be with her. He looked at her and sang the words to her.

     The song ended and when she looked up at him and realized that, that was her place in life. In his arms.
