Later at the guys house, things were in full swing.  The pizza was there and the guys were helping themselves when the door bell rang.  It was Reneé.  She came in and took her coat off.  Joey greeted her with a hug and a kiss.  Justin was on the phone in the kitchen talking to some one and the rest of the guys were gathered around the TV.  “Reneé’s here now we can start the movie.” Chris said trying to take the remote away from JC.  “Wait until she sits down.” JC snapped.  “It’s okay go ahead.” Reneé said.  Chris stuck his tongue out at JC and then grabbed the remote and hit play before JC could stop him.            “Did you talk to him?” Reneé asked.  “I was waiting for you remember.” Joey said.  Justin then Lance came around the couch.  “I’m going to get a soda, you guys want anything?” He asked as he passed them.  Reneé grabbed Joey’s hand and followed Lance into the kitchen.  Justin had finished his conversation and was leaving as the entered.  “Did you already start the movie?” Justin asked.  “We just started it.” Lance said.  Justin took off running for the living room.              Lance got in the fridge and got a coke out before the noticed Reneé and Joey had followed him.  “We need to talk to you.” Reneé said.  The smile disappeared from Lance’s face and he looked down at the coke in his hand.  “Did I do something wrong?  Is that why she cheated on me?” Lance asked.  “No, Lance don’t think that.  You were a great boyfriend.” Reneé said putting her arm around him to comfort him. Joey joined her beside him.              “She was wrong for you anyway, she would have never loved you.  I’ve dated many people like that.” Joey said.  “I loved her.” Lance said.  “I know you did, but it’s better you find out now rather than years down the road.” Reneé said.  Lance let a tear roll down his cheek.  “You can do better, you’ll see.” Reneé added.  “We’re here for you Lance and the others will be there too.  You don’t have to go through this alone, we won’t let you.” Joey said.  Lance smiled and gave both of them a hug.  “It’s good to have friends like you.” Lance said.            Once they got Lance calmed down they joined the others in the living room to finish watching the movie.  It was late by the time the movie was over, so Joey offered to let Reneé stay the night.  She agreed to so she headed to bed with Joey.  As she laid there about to fall asleep, she could feel Joey beside her.  She couldn’t help but feel sorry for poor Lance, he was bound to be heart broken.            A few weeks later Nsync found themselves in New York, playing several shows at Market Square.  Reneé had come along this time, to visit a cousin that lived there.  She also hoped to see Elena again.  They had sparked a friendship and had been keeping in touch by e-mail.  Chris also had hopes of seeing Elena but his schedule seemed rather busy.  But Elena was the perky understanding person she had always been and made plans to go out with them on one of their only nights off.              Until then Reneé, Reva, and her made the best of it.  Sitting in the front row watching their pop star sweeties work it. “Did you two hear about Calista?” Reneé asked.  “No.” Reva said.  “What happened?” Elena asked leaning over Reva.  “Me and Joey caught her cheating on Lance.” Reneé said.  “Does Lance know?” Reva asked.  “Yeah, he over heard me confronting Calista about it.” Reneé said.  “Poor guy, remind me to give him a hug.” Elena said eyeing him on stage.              Later the girls headed back stage.  Elena went right to Lance and gave him a hug and kiss on the cheek.  “What was that for?” Lance asked.  “I heard you poor thing. Ya feel betta now?” Elena asked.  “Yeah, thanks.” Lance said blushing.  Chris put his hands on his hips.  “What do you think your doing?” He asked pretending to be mad.  “Nothing.  Why, jealous?” She asked.  “Yeah.” Chris said.  Elena laughed and then ran over and wrapped her arms around Chris.  She gave him a French kiss, “Feel better, baby?” She asked.  “Much better.” Chris said.            Justin smooched Reva, though he seemed a little distracted.  “You alright?” Reva asked.  “Yeah, just got a lot on my mind that’s all.” Justin said.  ‘We’re still on for tomorrow night right?” Reva said dying to see her boyfriend, it had been weeks since they had gone out together.  “Yeah, of course.” Justin said perking up a little.  “How’s Hannah?” Reva asked JC.  “She’s doing great I talked to her this morning on the cell.” JC said.  “She was cool.” Elena said recalling her from before.            Elena looked at her watch.  “Oh, I gotta go.” She said.  “Why?” Lance asked.  “Work.” Elena said.  She gave Chris a kiss on the cheek.  “I’ll see you tomorrow night.” She said.  “You bet, I hope work goes alright for you.” Chris said.  Elena rolled her eyes.  “I have to fill in for Maria tonight.” Elena said.  “What no bouncing tonight?” Justin asked.  She smiled and then left.            The guys had some more work to do, so Reva and Reneé decided to go out and get a bite to eat.  They went to a little cafe down the street from the venue.  “I can’t believe what you said about Calista.” Reva said.  “I can’t either, Lance is such a sweetheart.  How could any one do that to him?  The guy she was with wasn't even cute.” Reneé said sounding a little upset just from the idea of it.  “It will be okay, Lance deserves so much better any way, I don’t think she even respected him.” Reva said watching Reneé closely.  “You got that right.” She said.            Later that night, Elena was hard at work.  The club was  jumping.  Her shift was about over and she was looking forward to going home and soaking her feet.  She wasn’t used to moving around so much.  She clocked out and was heading for the door when she saw a familiar person sitting at the bar nursing a cold one.  She could tell by the look on his face, that something was wrong.  She had worked in a club long enough to know that look.  She walked up to him and sat down beside him.            “Drinking never solves any ones problems.” She said.  Justin turned and looked at her.  Shocked to see her there at first.  “I thought you had to work.” He mumbled.  “I did, I just clocked out.  You look like you could use a friend.” she said.  “Of all the clubs in town I had to pick this one.  I just want to be alone.” Justin said.  “No, you don’t.  Trust me.” Elena said.  “You don’t know anything, girl.” Justin snapped.  Elena jumped, she wasn’t sure if it was him or the beer talking.  Justin turned away and took another drink of his beer.            “I used to be a drunk.” Elena said out of know where. “Your not old enough.” Justin said.  “Don’t have to be 21, if you know the right people.” Elena said.  Justin didn’t reply she had a point.  “You got probs, you wanna talk about it?” Elena asked.  “Nope, not to you.” Justin said with out hesitation.  “Why not?” Elena asked a little upset.  “Maybe because I think your a crack pot.  What kind of drugs you on, anyway?” He asked heartlessly.  “Anti-depressants.” Elena said boldly.  Justin about spit his beer out.  “You for real?” He asked.  She nodded, “You want to talk now?”            Justin looked at his beer, “I guess, but you wouldn’t understand.” He said.  “Sometimes you don’t have to understand, it just helps to listen.” Elena said.  “Okay.” Justin said and was about to tell her.  “Not, here come with me.” She said taking his hand and pulling him across the dance floor and into a back room.  She pulled the curtain closed and Justin took a seat in the booth.  He knew this place it was a privet booth that most clubs had saved for special people.  He and the other guys had sat in many.  The music could still be heard in the background.  But it wasn’t near as loud.            Elena took a seat next to him.  Justin looked down at his beer and played with the label.  Elena propped her head up on one arm and faced him.  Her attention was all on him. He had never had someone devote so much to him, the way she was doing so it made him a little uneasy.  “Where do I start?” He asked.  “The beginning.” She said.   He took a deep breath and then started the tell her all of his problems.  He started out slow and then got in a little deeper.  Elena sat there the whole time giving him her complete and total attention thought out the whole thing.  She didn’t say a word until he was done.  By the time he was done he was in tears.  He put his head down on the table.  He could feel Elena rubbing his back, trying to comfort him.  “Do you feel any better?” She asked.            “Yeah, I do.  I guess you were right.” Justin said lifting his head and wiping a tear away.  Elena just smiled.  Just then some one stuck their head in the door and told them it was closing time.  Elena got up and walked Justin to the door.  He thanked her and then headed for his hotel.            The next day the others noted that Justin seemed a little happier than he had the last few weeks.  They figured it was because he was getting a night off for once and he was going to get to go see Reva.  The guys made plans with a local club to have a private table ready for them when they got there.  Elena had always be accustomed to the party scene so she slipped on her tight baby blue leopard print pants, white tank top, and fave long baby blue glitter duster.  Once she was ready so took the time to help Reva dress for party time success.              The two of them met Chris and Justin at the door.  They had waited for them while the others had went in and sat down.  Justin eyed Reva, she looked hot, but Justin knew right away that Elena had helped her.  “You look fine!” Chris said eyeing his girlfriend in delight.  “Would you expect any less?” Elena asked playfully.  They smiled and then joined hand and went inside.  “You look real good too baby.” Justin said.  “Thanks, Elena helped me.” Reva said.  They quickly followed Chris and Elena to their table.              Once there Reneé greeted them with a smile.  Elena and Reva were surprised to see Hannah there.  “What are you doin’ here girl?” Elena asked.  “JC flew me in for the day.” Hannah said cuddling with JC’s arm.  JC smiled, “I wanted to see her, what can I say.”            “Hey if you’ve got the means use them.” Elena said taking a seat beside Reneé.  After they ordered drinks Reneé turned to Joey.  “Come on sweetie let’s hit the floor while they get our drinks ready.” Reneé said pulling on Joey’s arm.  He smiled and then gave in.  It seemed Lance was the only one there with out a girl.  “Man, Lance you should be out there picking up chicks.” Elena said.  Lance gave her a half smile.  “Who would want to date me?.” Lance said sounding a little bummed.  “I know of a few.” Reva said.  “Really, who?” Lance asked sounding a little happier.  Reva thought for a minute.  “I could name about a thousand or so that will be screaming their heads off for you tomorrow.” She said.  Lance laughed.              As Reneé and Joey were making their way to the dance floor they were stopped by a young lady.  “Hi, Reneé.” She said.  Reneé looked at her funny for a moment, it was hard to make any one out in the dim lights.  “Hi, Casey.”  Reneé said finally recognizing the girl.  “Joey, this is my cousin, Casey.” Reneé said turning to Joey.  Joey shook her hand and smiled.  Reneé thought for a moment and the turned and whispered in Joey's ear.  Joey nodded and so Reneé turned back to her cousin.  “Hey, Casey do you want to join us in the back.  We’re having some drinks with friends.  One just happens to be this great looking guy that just found out his girlfriend was cheating on him.” Reneé said.  Casey smiled, “Sounds good to me.”            They turned and headed back to the private table, giving up on the chance to dance.   Upon entering they all looked at Casey in awe.  The lights in the private booth were much better and so she could be seen a lot better.  “Hey, everyone this is my cousin Casey.  Is it okay if she joins us?” Reneé asked almost certain they wouldn’t say no.  They all studied her for a second.  She was a sight.  Her long black hair cascaded down her back and her eyes were the bluest anyone had ever seen.  They agreed to let her join them so she took a seat between Reneé and Elena.  The night went on with casual conversations, which Elena would interrupt with a rather nod question or two.              “Chris what is she drinking?” JC asked after yet another rather nod question from Elena.  Elena looked in the cup.  “It’s just plain Pepsi I swear.” Elena said.   Elena asked politely to be excused from the table for a moment.  She got up and headed for the lady's room.  “You’ll have to forgive her, her doctor just put her on a new kind of medication.  It make her a little hyper.” Chris said.  “Medication for what?” Hannah asked.  “Depression.” Reva said.  The table got strangely quite.  Reneé smiled and then went about changing the topic.              Elena was on her way back from the bathroom.  She had only reached the edge of the dance floor when Justin stopped her.  He startled her at first, since he only placed his arm in front of her and pined her in against the wall.   “What are you doing you scared me.” Elena yelled over the music.  “We need to talk.” Justin said.  “We talked last night, remember.” Elena said a little confused.  “No, I mean we need to talk about something else.” Justin said.  He had been acting weird around her all night, but she didn’t know why.  Now he seemed a little nervous and uneasy about something.              Elena began to worry that something was wrong.  She grabbed his arm and pulled him off to the side where it was a little quieter.  Once again Justin acted nervous as if he was going to be sick or something.  Elena was relieved when He finally took a seat.  “What’s wrong, did something else happen since we talked last night?” She asked worried that the guys did something or his mom was at him again for something.  “I guess you could say something happened.” Justin said.              Elena waited for him to go on.  “I think I’m in love with you.” Justin said almost choking on his words.  “What?  But you can’t.” Elena snapped.  “Why not?” Justin asked looking her in the eyes.  His shining blue eyes cut into her.  “I mean, what about Chris and Reva.  Reva is my friend I can’t do that to her.” Elena said taking a seat herself.  “I know I shouldn’t, but I do.  I think I always did, ever since I first met you but after that talk we had, it became so clear.  I didn‘t want to say anything at first because I thought it would go away and Chris is my best friend I don‘t want to hurt him.” Justin said.  “What about Reva?  Did you ever love her?” Elena asked.  Justin was caught off guard by how serious she was being.            “Reva is a sweet girl, but I guess I just dated her to try and get my mind off you.” Justin said.  “You used Reva?  She’s going to kill me, I can’t believe you, Chris said you were a nice guy.” Elena said with a hint of anger.  “I am a nice guy, that’s why I went out with her, Chris asked me to because he said it would mean a lot to you.” Justin said.  Elena got up and Justin did to, he wanted to stop her from leaving.  He didn’t want her to leave thinking he was a jerk.  She started to leave but Justin placed and hand on each of her arms.            “Look at me Elena, I didn’t want to hurt you and I sure don’t want to hurt Reva.  I wasn’t even sure if I should even tell you.  But I wanted you to know.” Justin said.  “Justin, you have to understand too.  I can’t just turn my back on Chris.  He is the best thing to ever happen to me.  He’s sweet and funny.  I can’t turn that all away for a feeling you got over night.” Elena said.  Justin looked away she had point.  “And I don’t want to hurt you either, I know you can’t help the way you feel.  But I’ve had my heart broken too many times to take that chance.  If what you say is true then you should be willing to wait.  If things don’t work out between me and Chris, then there is a chance for you.  But until then your going to have to show me that you mean what you say, try just being my friend for now.” Elena said.  “I do understand, I think.  I will try to do what you say.” Justin said.  “And as for Reva, I’m not going to tell her anything, but I really think that if you don’t love her you should try to find a way to let her down slowly.  She is a sweet girl, I don’t what you to lead her on and break her heart even more.” Elena said showing a great since of compassion for her friend.
