He went on a binge...again. The worst one since I've been with him and I thank Paris for intensifying it. It's almost 1 and I just ate lunch, the phone ringing pulling me off the couch. "Hello?"
"Hey, baby sister. Is it okay if I head your way?"
"In an hour or so, sure." I have to get Nick out of bed.
"Alright, that works."
"See ya later."
"Something wrong?"
"Nothing I can't handle."
"See you in a couple hours, then."

I walk upstairs and lay with my head on his shoulder, he turns to hold me tightly. He groans. "Time is it, babe?"
That's the Nick I love! "About 1 in the afternoon."
"Plans?"
"Oshai and just chilling."
His phone rings and I hand it to him, noting the Florida area code. "Hello? Yes. I can be there Monday. Yeah, mmmhmmm. Okay, thanks." He sits up and looks at me, scared out of his mind.
"Well?" I ask.
"He wants to tell me in person," he informs me.
"Can you do one thing for me this entire weekend?"
"Sure."
"This sounds serious and I want you straight when we get there."
"Depending on how severe the news is, where would you want to live?"
"Temporary?"
"Maybe."
"Nashville or home."
"Nashville sounds good."
"Baby, my family is in Ellisville."
"I know and we're close enough to drive there."

Just as we get out of the shower, my cell plays 'White Wedding Part 1' and I answer. "Oshai."
"Oshannie, I'm a couple houses down."
"Code is my birthday."
"Okay, military or civilian?"
"Military."
"See you in five."
"Yeah." I hang up and look at Nick. "Oshai is near by."
"How did you come up with 'Oshai'?"
I smile at the memory. "I was half asleep, calling him 'Joshie' and it just evolved into 'Oshai' and he's called me 'Oshannie' since."
My phone plays 'Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)' and I know who is calling. "Hey, kid," I greet, smirking.
"I'm not a 'kid', I'm almost 19."
"Until you're older than me-"
"I'm a 'kid' to you."
"What's up?"
"Is Nick straight?"
"Yes, for the weekend at least."
"Would you mind if I popped in?"
"Of course you can stop by, Aaron," I say, glancing at Nick and he agrees with me via thumbs up.

Oshai walks in. "Nick? Oshannie?"
"I got it, beautiful," Nick tells me, pressing a kiss to my cheek near my mouth and I smile. This is the Nick I've missed. It's the Nick I love. This is my Nick. I grab my shirt and slip it over my head as his hands leave my hips, putting my hair up in a messy bun.

"You're going to stay clean for her this weekend?" Oshai asks Nick, unaware of me being in the door way.
I lean on it and Nick smiles. "She asked and we have to go back to Fort Lauderdale for an appointment at 9:30 Monday morning."
"You book the flight already?"
"I can later," he informs me, walking over to hold me as Oshai's eyes follow his movement.
"Wow, you look like hell," Oshai jokes.
"You cause hell," I fire back, hugging Nick back.
"This isn't how he's been for a long time."
"He's straight."
Oshai nods, understanding and Nick taps the top of my head with his finger to make me look at him. "Who did you tell?"
"Only Oshai, he's my brother."
"Okay, just checking."

A knock at the door calls me to answer it. "Who is it?"
"Aaron."
"What's the password?" I love fucking with him.
"Anemone."
"Nope."
I know there's a few words he mispronounces. "Lilonium."
I laugh and let him in. "Linoleum," I correct him, squeezing him tightly.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. You always rag on me about it."
"I find it adorably hysterical."
He sighs. "I miss you."
"Missed you too."
"Is he staying sober?"
"Hopefully for the weekend at least," I admit.
