Story Notes:
So this was inspired after a night out last week and I saw how excited a friend of mine was over the music that was playing all night and I knew I had to write about it.

Also now that I have this out I will definitely have an update for Just the Two of Us? very soon!!!
Author's Chapter Notes:
Okay so to fully get the whole gist of this story I made a playlist that goes with it. You don't really need it but it will make a lot more sense and set the mood. If you don't want to listen to the whole playlist you should at least be familiar with the song Outlaw Women by Hank Williams Jr.

American Pie ~ Don Mclean

Wagon Wheel ~ Old Crow Medicine Show
High Cost of Living ~ Jamey Johnson

And seriously this whole thing was mostly inspired by Outlaw Women so you can play that song however many times you like haha.
I had had a good yet long day at work and when I finally finished for the night and made my way home and stepped into the shower I decided that a couple of beers were in order to relax a little. I had already asked Chad before leaving work if he was going out for the night and he said that after he watched Blacklist that he would probably stop out for a couple. I quickly stepped out of the shower and slipped on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt and my flip flops, knowing it was Thursday and even though there would probably be a few people out I wasn’t really trying to impress anyone either. I grabbed a hoodie and pulled it over my head and made my way out the door making sure I grabbed some cash and my ID on the way out.

I walked into the bar and smiled at the few people that were in there and nodded to Betty, my mom’s friend that was bartending.

“Beer?” she questioned and I eagerly nodded as she turned around grabbing a bud light and setting it in front of me.

“Thanks.” I smiled as I threw some money down on the bar and took a moment to scan the bar smiling. I loved this place it was where I grew up. I glanced at the neon Ray’s bar and grill sign in the door and smiled as I took a long pull from my beer. Ray and his wife Trudy were family friends of mine, and I had grown up around them and this place. Hell, my mom was bartending here when I was born, so when I say I grew up here I mean it. That being said it also meant that I had watched every generation of this small town trickle in and out of the bar and the scene change every couple of years as people grew up and moved on with their lives. This place held a lot of great memories for me and some I wouldn’t mind forgetting, I noted as Cory walked through the door. He didn’t even acknowledge me and that was fine with me I thought, as I finished my beer and pushed it to the edge of the bar with some money waiting on Betty to get me another.

Chad eventually made it in and we fell into a comfortable conversation drinking our beer with a couple of shots thrown in as we both tried to unwind from the night we had at work. I noticed Cory ordered his third shot and glance over at me a small smile on his face but I chose to ignore it. We had hooked up a couple times the previous year, then he blew me off, and I was mostly over it but the last thing I needed was for him to get drunk and decide that he wanted a repeat of what we had however brief it was. The night was definitely turning out to be slower than usual with us being the only ones in the bar, so all four of us looked up as the door opened. I couldn’t help the grin that spread across my face as Justin and his friend Trace made their way into the bar. Justin was a few years younger than me, having gone to school with my brother, but he and I had been flirting with each other nonstop for a few months since he had been back in town and he even went as far as to kiss me the weekend before. I blew it off with a giggle and turned around to play the jukebox and we left it at that, but I was looking forward to the innocent flirting that I knew would accompany that gorgeous smile he was giving me.

“Hey.” I grinned as I held my arm out and he stepped into my embrace hugging me.

“Hey,” He smiled down at me before throwing a twenty on the bar, “Get everyone one Betty and I need some quarters.” He grinned over at Betty and I couldn’t help but smile at him as Trace stumbled back from the bathroom obviously already drunk.

“Hi I’m Trace.” Trace said shoving his hand into my face, causing me to laugh as I grabbed it.

“Yeah I know I’m Bailey.” I smiled.

“Oh, you couldn’t have met me before or you would have smacked me.” He grinned through his drunken haze causing me to continue to giggle.

“That’s true,” Justin laughed taking a long drink of his beer before stepping away from me and towards the back of the bar, “Come on fucker and shoot some pool with me.”

Trace mumbled something and leaned against the bar for support as he took a sip of his beer as Justin just grumbled from the back of the room, racking the pool balls impatiently. Justin had the balls racked and picked out his pool stick grumbling to Trace the whole time to hurry up. When Trace ignored him Justin moved over to the jukebox slipping a few dollars in and started to search for some music. Renegades by X Ambassadors started to blare throughout the bar and seemingly brought Trace back out of his drunken haze as he threw his arms up in the air in a triumphant cheer as he started to sing along. I smirked as both boys got lost in the music and watched them intently for a minute before Chad told me he had to get going seeing as how he had to work in the morning. I gave Chad a hug and watched him leave and turned to see that Cory had slowly moved down the bar closer to me and was sitting only a couple barstools away now. I shook my head slightly and ordered another beer as Justin came over whining about wanting someone to play pool with him. Betty got my beer and finally agreed to a game of pool, seeing as how no one else had come in. Somehow they ended up playing partners and Cory and Trace made their way over to the pool table and I was left sitting at the bar by myself watching as they all took turns shooting around the table. Just then Outlaw Women came on and I couldn’t help but roll my eyes, seeing how excited Justin and Trace got.

“Yano Hank Jr. has so many better songs than this one.” I yelled across the bar teasingly as Justin narrowed his eyes at me.

“Pleaaaase.” Justin scoffed narrowing his eyes at me as I just nodded furiously trying to get my point across.

I slid off my barstool, making sure to grab a couple dollars as I did and made my way over to the jukebox and slipped the money in searching for my own songs.

“What are you doing?” Justin asked appearing behind me, placing his chin on my shoulder as he pushed his body flush up against mine.

“Nothing.” I feigned ignorance as I slightly pushed him away as he moved his hand up to search for more music.

“Uh uh my turn.” I scolded pushing him back towards the pool table and trying to find what I wanted.

“You don’t like MY music?” Justin asked acting offended as he stepped back up to me so we were standing nose to nose.

“I just think there is better music to be heard.” I whispered, staring him down almost in a challenge.

“Oh do you?” Justin questioned his voice low and husky as he reached up to scratch an itch on his face.

“Yeah I do.” I smiled reaching up to stroke the stubble on his face that obviously hadn’t been shaved in a few days.

“You like that?” He asked cockily raising his eyebrows at me.

“Maybe later between my legs.” I smirked as I turned away from him and back to the jukebox.

Justin moved behind me putting his hands on my hips and pressing himself up against me, “That can be arranged,” he said gruffly before quickly moving away from me.

I turned quickly in shock just in time to see him bend over the pool table and line up his shot before executing it exactly and sinking a ball into the side pocket before he stood up grinning at me and moving to take his next shot. I couldn’t help the stupid grin that made its way across my face as I moved back across the bar to sit back down.

They finished their game Justin and Trace winning, although I’m pretty sure Justin carried them the whole game as I was pretty sure Trace didn’t even know where he was at, at this point. They all made their way back over to the bar, Betty slipping behind it claiming she was done.

“You wanna play?” Justin asked raising his eyebrow at me, and I couldn’t help but laugh at the double entendre.

“I’m awful at pool, I wouldn’t mind playing a game of shuffleboard though.” I smiled cocking my head to the side.

“Oh! I would love to play some shuffleboard!” Cory exclaimed from behind Justin, forcing our attention to him.

“Sure.” Justin said nodding towards me and ignoring Cory. I smiled as Betty brought us the pucks over and set them on the bar.

“Who’s on teams?” I asked as Trace snatched up the pucks and made his way over towards the shuffleboard table with me.

“Me and you. You ready to kick their asses?” Cory asked as he got up and grinned over at me.

“Sure.” I nodded slightly, mostly because if Cory was on my team than that meant that I didn’t have to stand with him and I could stand with Justin.

“You care what side you shoot from?” I asked looking over at Cory.

He just shrugged in response, so I quickly made my way down to the opposite end of the bar away from everyone where I was use to shooting from. Justin immediately followed and I smiled as he stepped up behind me, leaning against me as I moved to shoot, trying to throw me off. I smiled at his antics but easily threw the puck down the board having it stop just short of falling off and smirked at him as I moved out of his way allowing him to take his turn. As he was shooting I took the last drink of my beer and handed him the empty beer bottle as he stood up.

He just laughed as I moved back towards the table, “Hey Betty can I get two bud lights, my money’s on the bar.” Betty nodded and grabbed the beers and quickly made her way back to us handing Justin both beer bottles.

“Thanks.” He grinned at her as she blushed and turned to walk away.

“Here.” Justin said holding out the bottle to me. I wrapped my hand around it as he stared down at me, merely inches away and refused to let go of the bottle.

“Thank you.” I whispered out a small smile on my face as his fingers brushed lightly across mine.

“It’s your turn.” I finally said causing him to chuckle and reluctantly let go of the beer bottle as he stepped away from me.

“We need shots!” Cory exclaimed from the other end of the bar as I was standing up from the shuffleboard table and Justin moved to throw his last puck, knocking one of mine off in the process. I scowled at him playfully but let it go seeing as I how I still scored that round.

“Shots?” I asked my curiosity peaked.

“Yeah, come on! Betty I need shots for everyone, I want American Honey and….” Cory trailed off turning to look at the rest of us.

“Jager.” Trace grinned as I rolled my eyes, that was definitely the last thing the boy needed but Cory just nodded and turned his attention to Justin and I.

“Fireball.” I smiled as Justin declined, stating he didn’t need any shots.

“Alright then Honey, Fireball, and Jager.” Cory smiled turning his attention back to Betty and throwing a fifty down on the bar to pay for them.

We all threw back the shots and I took a seat at the bar watching as Cory and Trace made their way over to the shuffleboard table to take their turn. Justin made his way over to me and settled himself in between my legs and grinned down at me.

“Yes?” I asked grinning stupidly up at him.

Justin just grinned at me for a minute before taking a small step back, “How’s your brother?”

“He’s fine, just working and hanging out at the gym.” I said rolling my eyes.

“God he is such a tool.” Justin groaned and I couldn’t help but giggle because it was true.

“And what does that make me?” I asked batting my eyelashes up at him.

“Oh you were never like him trust me.” Justin smirked resting his forehead against mine.

“Are you going to kiss me again?” I whispered out, liking how close he was to me.

“I don’t know what you are talking about.” Justin shrugged standing up slightly, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

“Oh so that wasn’t you who kissed me last weekend?” I asked as my tongue darted out of my mouth to lick my lips.

“Nope.” Justin shrugged again doing his best to keep the shit eating grin off of his face and I couldn’t help but to throw my head back in laughter.

“We need another round of shots!” Cory exclaimed making his way back over to us and breaking up our moment.

Justin rolled his eyes slightly, but stepped away from me as Cory squeezed in beside me and laid out money as Betty turned to pour us three more shots. I wanted nothing more than to roll my eyes at Cory, but fought the urge and took the shot that was laid out on the bar and smiled as I brought it to my lips and tipped it back. I turned around to see Justin watching me intently and smiled as I slowly licked the remainder of the liquor off of my lips.

“Come on.” I smiled at Justin and made my way back to the other side of the bar as it was our turn to shoot. I walked up to the table with Justin making his way up behind me again. I smiled and bent over slightly so my ass was pushing against his crotch as I shot.

“Mmm.” Justin grunted out as I slowly moved away letting him take his turn. He easily knocked my puck off the table and I bumped his hip with mine to move him out of my way. Justin just chuckled taking his place behind me as his hands ran up over my thighs and settled on my hips.

“You know you make it hard to shoot.” I giggled trying to line up my shot as I swayed my hips slightly.

“Nah, this might make it hard to shoot.” Justin growled moving his hand around and slipping it into the back of my shorts in between my legs and stroked me a few times.

“Justin!” I exclaimed shocked as my head snapped up to the other end of the bar to see what everyone else was doing.

“What?” Justin mumbled his lips against my ear.

“Stop.” I shrieked as I grabbed his wrist and pulled it out of my shorts slightly amused but more embarrassed.

I turned around so I was facing him and he pressed me up against the table and stared down at me, “You love it.”

“Not here.” I giggled as I slightly swatted at his chest as he just grinned at me.

“Bailey, let’s do another shot.” Cory yelled from across the bar breaking up our moment.

Justin scoffed as I moved away from him and walked back across the bar. Cory might be annoying, but I wasn’t going to turn down the free alcohol.

“You look good tonight.” Cory cooed as I stepped up next to him.

“Thanks.” I said giving him a tight lip smile; I was just in shorts and a t-shirt with my hair thrown up in a ponytail and no makeup on but whatever.

Justin was off to the side talking to Trace but I could feel his eyes on me as Cory ordered another round of shots. Cory was trying to engage me in a conversation that I was barely paying attention to and I noticed Betty roll her eyes slightly in my direction as she set our shots down.

“Can I get another beer too?” I asked setting down my empty beer bottle.

“I got that Betty, get me and Trace one too.” Justin spoke up walking up and standing on the other side of me.

“Thank you.” I smiled up at him as Cory nudged me to get my attention.

I turned to look at him with raised eyebrows slightly frustrated but he just held my shot out to me and my face softened slightly as I took it from it. “Justin we need more music.” Trace whined from where he was sitting his head propped up in his hands on the other side of the bar.

“I got this.” I smiled, grabbing some of Justin’s money off the bar and making my way over to the jukebox as he just smirked at me.

Justin followed me, settling one hand on my hip as his other hand brought his beer up to his lips as he supervised my song choices. Justin reached up to play a song but I nudged him backwards playfully before he could.

“Hey it’s my money.” Justin pouted and I couldn’t help but laugh and nodded in agreement as I let him move to play his song. He moved and played Outlaw Women again and I couldn’t help but roll my eyes at him playfully. It wasn’t really that great of a song, but I thought it was cute how into it he was.

“Hey Bailey!” Cory called over to me and I sighed slightly as I turned to look at him.

The rest of our game of shuffleboard was spent back and forth between Justin and Cory both trying to one up one another for my attention and I was nothing if not amused. Cory had blown me off a long time ago and I wasn’t going to give him a second chance just because he was drunk and decided he wanted me around again, but that didn’t mean I was going to completely blow him off and stop the free alcohol either. Justin on the other hand was adorable and the past few months of constant flirting was catching up to me and it was taking all my restraint to not jump him in the bar. Betty was getting drunker as the night went on and was being more obvious about her disdain for me, which I found amusing. Her and my mom had been friends for a while and knowing my mom and I didn’t really get along she had a preconceived hate towards me that I found amusing.

Trace was sitting down leaning on the bar all but passed out and I slid onto the barstool next to Justin where we were leaned into one another talking in hushed tones and giggling much to the dismay of Cory and Betty. I could see the obvious frustration on Cory’s face and I knew that Betty was getting more and more upset with me, thinking it was my fault that Cory was so upset and that I was the one who blew him off when in reality he had done it to me a year ago.

“It’s about time to go.” Betty spat over in our direction and I rolled my eyes slightly glancing at the clock to see it was only two.

Sure she had ever right to kick us out and close but most nights she was never out of here before three, even if there were only a few people in the bar.

“Can I get another shot and a beer?” Cory quickly asked.

“Of course.” Betty’s face softened as she turned to smile at him and get him his drinks.

I set my empty beer bottle on the edge of the bar and was about to order another round as Trace got up and stumbled his way to the bathroom and Justin excused himself to go make sure he was alright. Betty came over and snatched my empty bottle off of the bar and as I opened my mouth to order she cut me off, “I said it’s time to go.”

I narrowed my eyes at her slightly and decided it wasn’t worth the fight at the moment so I grabbed my phone off the bar and slowly made my way out the door. I stopped right outside the door as my phone beeped with a text message and I was reading it when I heard Betty’s voice drift through the door.

Justin and Trace must have made their way back out of the bathroom because I heard her say, “You better hurry up and run after her, I’m sure she’ll fuck you.”

A second later Justin and Trace appeared outside as I stood there anger radiating off of me.
