“Come here Pretty lady…let me help you out.” JC said helping her to stand from the table.

Alexis stood then watched with interest as JC went about helping her fix her dress and smooth her hair so that what they’d just done was a little less obvious.  Moments before he’d been aggressive and commanding, now he was being gentle and compassionate.  It was sexy as hell!

Gently, he helped straighten her dress and fix the fabric covering her chest so that it hugged her curves the way it was supposed to.  Then he fluffed her hair a bit with his fingers before spinning her around to make sure her dress wasn’t tucked into her panties or wrinkled too badly.

Once he felt confident that everything on her was as it should be JC started the process of fixing himself.

Smiling a bit at himself JC reached down and started to tuck his shirt back into his pants.  Alexis giggled a bit and bit her lip then reached out with her hands to try to help him.

JC’s eyes went wide and he immediately grabbed her hands to stop her.

“NO Ma’am…not unless you’re ready for round 2!” JC breathed out.

Alexis giggled a bit and pulled her hands back, reaching up to help him with his tie instead.

“Really?! This dress?” Alexis asked as she straightened his tie then let her hands rest on his shoulders.

JC grinned and bit his lip.  “Mmm…Pretty lady…YES…you…the dress…the tights …ALL of it!”

Alexis giggled a bit more and shook her head.  “You are something else Mr. Chasez.”

JC laughed.  “Is that a good something or a bad something?”

Alexis smirked.  “It depends.”

JC laughed even more then wrapped his arms around her waist and dropped a quick kiss on the top of her head.

“C’mon Pretty lady…we better get back for they send a search party for us.”

Meanwhile, outside the trailer, back on the set the discussion was getting interesting.

“I hope everything is ok.” Lance mused aloud.

Michelle giggled and shook her head.  “I’m sure it’s fine.”

“JC was in a bit of a rush…and they’ve been gone for a bit…” Lance continued.

Michelle laughed more then patted Lance on the arm and gave him a knowing look.  “They’re fine…TRUST ME!”

Lance wasn’t catching on.

“Maybe one of us should go check on them…make sure everything is ok.” Lance mused as he started to stand.

“NO!” Everyone chorused.

Immediately, Michelle grabbed Lance by the arm and yanked him back down into his chair.

“Lance! Unless you have a death wish I would sit your ass back down.  They are just fine! I promise!” Michelle managed to get out.

“You’re sure?” Lance asked.

He wasn’t convinced.

For the second time within the conversation Michelle gave Lance a very pointed, knowing look.  She was smiling and shaking her head all while praying she didn’t have to spell it out for him in front of everyone.

“C’mon Lance, I know you’re a smart guy…stay with me here…I can assure you, they don’t need ANY help right now.”

It took a second for Lance to catch on but once he did his eyes went wide and smile began to spread across his face.

“OH! Gotcha!  Yeah, ok.  I’m sure Alexis has it handled.” Lance chuckled with embarrassment.

Joey snorted.  “OH YES! I’d bet money Alexis definitely handled IT!”

Chris, Justin, Lance and Michelle just laughed and shook their heads at Joey’s comment only to have Alexis and JC reappear on set a moment later.

“Better?!” Wayne asked chuckling and shaking his head.

JC smirked.  “Yup! All good.”

“Good.  Can we continue?”

“Ready when you are.” JC said with a sly smile.

“Let’s go!”

The rest of the bedroom scene went off without a hitch.  JC was able to play his role and appear unaffected with minimal difficulty.  Yes, there was a moment as he was standing in front of the bed, looking down at her as she rolled around where he briefly had to check himself but he was able to stay in character long enough to finish the shot.

With the bedroom scene over it was time for wardrobe changes again.  JC and Justin would be changing into yet another suit meanwhile Alexis would be changing into something that although covered more of her also left more to the imagination.

Alexis was dressed in a pair of really short, black satin shorts.  Truthfully, they were more like bloomers than shorts and a dark blue suit jacket with nothing underneath.  The jacket was buttoned closed in one spot, right at her sternum, leaving most of her chest and stomach exposed.  On her feet, a pair of black leather boots that went up to her thighs.  Whomever had been in charge of the wardrobe choices definitely knew what they were doing in terms of ramping up the sex appeal.

Alexis was standing in the mirror, examining her reflection when Michelle stepped into the trailer and immediately busted up laughing.

“What’s so funny?” Alexis smirked, making a face.

“I’m just picturing Josh’s face when he sees you dressed like that.” Michelle giggled.

Alexis couldn’t help but laugh a little.  Her sister wasn’t wrong.  Josh was probably going to lose his mind, among other things when he saw her.

“Not my fault! I did not pick this wardrobe!” Alexis giggled, holding up her hands in surrender.

Michelle laughed and nodded. “I know, but that doesn’t make it any less amusing or fun to watch.”

“Like Justin wouldn’t react the same way if this was you and not me.” Alexis shot back playfully.

Michelle snorted.  “He’s a guy, of course he would, but like I said, that doesn’t make it any less fun to watch.”

Alexis grinned.  “True.”

The next vignette was simple.  A very long, dark green, velvet couch with wood trim against a blue wall.  That was it.  However, it was enough.

Alexis would be paired with Justin first.  He was already on the couch waiting when Alexis stepped into the vignette.  Wayne was giving him some directions and he was listening intently at least until Alexis stepped into view.

As soon as Justin caught a glimpse of Alexis a slow grin spread across his face.  He had to bite his lip to keep from laughing.  JC was going to lose his SHIT for sure.

“What’s that look for?” Alexis asked as she took her place next to Justin on the couch.

“Has JC seen you like that?” Justin smirked.

Alexis giggled. She knew what Justin was getting at.

“No. Not yet.”

“Can I please be there when he does?” Justin chuckled.

Alexis laughed at this. “Like you wouldn’t have the same reaction if it were Michelle sitting here and not me.”

This time, it was Justin’s turn to laugh.  “Oh, I know I would.  That’s what makes it so great.”

“You’re terrible!” Alexis teased.

“Not according to your sister.” Justin shot back playfully.

Alexis made a face and swatted at him.  “Yeah, like I said this morning, I do NOT need or want to know about your extra-curricular activities with my sister!”

Justin just grinned.  “That’s fair.”

“Ok you two, time to get to it.” Wayne interrupted.

“Ready when you are.” Alexis replied nodding.

“Great!  So, for this Justin you’ll be on one end of the couch with your arms over the back and the side of the couch and Danielle you’ll be laying down with your head on Justin’s lap.”

Alexis’s eyes went wide and Justin immediately had to cover his mouth to smother his grin and the fit of giggles that was threatening to erupt.

Wayne looked at the both of them and made a face.

“What did I say?”

Justin chuckled and shook his head.  “Man, I love you.  You are a GENIUS, but I hope you’re ready to attend your own funeral because JC is going to kick your ass for this.”

For a moment, Wayne stood there with a bewildered look on his face.  Then he looked to Alexis and his eyes widened.

“You and JC?” Wayne asked, directing his question at Alexis.

Alexis smiled and nodded.  “Yes, Sir.”

Wayne shook his head and chuckled a bit.  “Now it all makes sense.  Ok, let’s get the shot. I’ll deal with him if needed.”

About a half hour later they were done with Justin’s part and were moving on to JC.

JC walked on to the set and his reaction was immediate as was Alexis’s.

JC was dressed in dark blue vest, a crisp white dress shirt with a dark and light blue striped tie, and dark blue dress slacks.  It was then, as Alexis was watching him approach that she realized that the wardrobe had been planned this way.  Whomever was in charge of wardrobe definitely paid attention to detail because they had purposely made it look like Alexis was wearing the coat to his suit.  It was BRILLIANT but at the same time, sexy as hell.

“Good lord!” Alexis muttered to herself.

“Well FUCK!” JC grunted.

“You ok?” Wayne asked noticing JC’s expression.

“Let’s just get the shot.” JC grumbled.

Wayne grinned and shook his head.  “Ok, go ahead and take a seat next to Danielle.  Danielle, you go ahead and just do the same thing you did with Justin.”

“Got it.” Alexis replied trying to hide her smile.

Alexis lay her head down on JC’s lap and watched with amusement as JC’s eyes went wide.  Realization had set in.

“Wait?! What?! The same?!” JC exclaimed.

Alexis bit her lip to keep from laughing then reached up, guided his chin down so that he was now looking at her and smiled.

“Breathe.  It’s just a video.  It’s not real. I’m with you.”

JC swallowed the lump in his throat and nodded.  “Ok.”

After the couch vignette there was another break for dinner.  It was already after 10 p.m. but rather than call it a night they were pressing on.  The goal was to try to get the shoot done all in one day because Wayne was on a tight schedule.  He was supposed to fly to London the next day to shoot a video for 3 Doors Down but because he had a history with *NSYNC had committed himself to this video as well, in spite of the time crunch.  It was just the way everyone’s schedules had worked out.

After dinner was over it was time for one more wardrobe change.   This would be the last vignette of the shoot, and truthfully, it wasn’t even a vignette. It was a white wall and they would only be filming from the shoulders up.  Also, Justin and JC wouldn’t be in any of these shots.  This was Wayne’s way of giving the other three guys a bit more camera time as well as some interaction with Alexis.  Alexis was excited.  She didn’t know the other three as well as she did JC and Justin so the opportunity to have a little fun together was welcome.

The other great thing about these shots was that since they were only filming from the shoulders up Alexis could get comfortable.  As soon as she got to her trailer after dinner, she quickly ditched the booty shorts and shimmied back into her jeans and tennis shoes.  Then she removed the jacket, placed it back on the hanger, and pulled the green halter top she was supposed to wear from the rack.  With the halter top on she went for the jewelry box sitting on the vanity and pulled out the dangling ruby earrings that had been set aside for this shot.  Then it was back to the set.

Because he actually had a bit of solo part in the song, Chris was first.

“My turn! Yay!” Chris cheered as Alexis stepped onto the set.

Alexis giggled and nodded as she took her place next to him against the wall.  He was wearing a black dress shirt and cargo shorts.  Apparently, she wasn’t the only one going for comfort at this late hour.

“Feeling left out, are you?” Alexis teased.

“Maybe a little.  JC and Justin always get the girl.” Chris said pretending to pout.

Alexis laughed.  “Yes, but JC and Justin are off the market now, so….”

“Well, there are three of you.” Chris smirked.

Alexis snorted loudly then made a face.  The cameramen were still lining up the shot.

“NO! NO! I love my sister…I do…but trust me Chris…you want NO part of that! You’re too adorable for her.  Plus, I think the Universe would implode if all 3 Moretti girls were dating members of *NSYNC.”

“Adorable, huh?” Chris said grinning.

“Absolutely!” Alexis said nodding.

“YA HEAR THAT JC…YOUR GIRL THINKS I’M ADORABLE!” Chris screamed across the set.

“LIKE A SAD PUPPY!” JC shot back with a smirk.

Alexis laughed and shook her head.  “Pay him no mind Chris! He’s horny and tired!”

Chris laughed and it took a moment for him to regain his composure.  He did just in time for Wayne to give the signal that they were ready to film.

After Chris it was Joey and then Lance.  The shots were mostly improvisational with them grooving along to the playback against the wall and just having fun.  Truthfully, it was one of Alexis’s favorite parts of the shoot, because she got to be herself.  Once the shots with the guys were done it was just Alexis against the white wall.  Again, she just grooved along with the playback and enjoyed herself.  It was the perfect way to end a long day of shooting.

At about 2 a.m. Wayne finally made the call.

“That’s a wrap!” He exclaimed as everyone on set cheered.

Now it was time to head home for some much needed sleep, but the group had all agreed to meet up with Alexis and Michelle the next day to celebrate.

***

At about 5 p.m. the next day everyone headed for Alexis and Michelle’s favorite spot, “El Sombrero” for an early dinner and drinks.

Michelle, being ever prepared, had the forethought to call ahead and request that the entire patio area be reserved so that they wouldn’t be disturbed.  Truthfully, the likelihood that anyone would bother them in this part of town was slim but Michelle knew all too well what could happen if word got out that *NSYNC was having dinner together in Rancho Park.  Also, Alexis and Michelle were “Regulars” so the last thing either girl wanted was to cause problems.

One by one the men of *NSYNC arrived at the restaurant and one by one Freddy, the Host, escorted them to the back patio with a Cheshire grin on his face.

A large circular table with seven place settings and seven chairs was set up just a few feet from the fountain in the center.  Then, off to one side, a smaller square table that seated four had been set for Security.

Alexis and Michelle were the last to arrive and as soon as they stepped into the restaurant Freddy, the Host, was all grins.

“Do you know how much I LOVE you two right now?” Freddy gushed.

Both girls looked at each other and grinned.  They had a pretty good idea why Freddy was so giddy at the moment.

“No. How much?” Michelle giggled.

“This much!” He said grabbing both of them and pulling them into a tight hug.

“Oh yeah, why is that?” Alexis laughed as the two girls pulled away.

“Why?! Hmm! I wonder! I was bummed, because I got called in to cover a shift.  I was supposed to go out Salsa dancing tonight so I am standing here, feeling sorry for myself and who should walk in one by one? Oh, I don’t know, just five of the most BEAUTIFUL examples of the male species to ever walk this earth! Turned my frown upside down!”

Alexis and Michelle both laughed at his reply but he wasn’t done speaking.

“I thought it was my lucky day the two times that Mr. Fine Ass Daddy Chasez was in here, mind you I was less than pleased the time he was in here with another girl that wasn’t you.” Freddy said nodding to Alexis.

Both girls giggled, then Michelle explained.

“That was our sister.  It’s a long story…for another time.”

Freddy’s jaw dropped.  “Your sister?! I thought you said she lived in New York.”

Alexis nodded.  “She does, but like Michelle said, THAT is a story for another time.”

“YESSS GIRL! I will be signing up for the Book club on that one!  Now, please, tell me, how did you get so lucky to be having dinner with *NSYNC?”

Michelle grinned.  “We’re celebrating.”

“Celebrating what?” Freddy asked curiously.

Alexis couldn’t help blush a bit as Michelle explained.

“The video for their new single, it finished filming EARLY this morning, and Alexis is IN IT!”

Freddy’s jaw dropped.  “What?! How?!”

Alexis blushed more if possible.  “Umm…well…I sing on the track with them.”

“STAHHHP IT!  OH MY GOD! I love you AND I hate you!  Guess I know what I am doing after work tonight.”

“What?” both girls asked grinning.

“Going to buy the new *NSYNC album.  UGH!  I guess it’s good I took the extra shift, they are going to be taking all my money again soon enough!”

Alexis and Michelle couldn’t help but laugh at his admission.

In fact, they were still giggling a bit when they reached the table but were trying to smother it quickly.

“About time, you two live literally five minutes from here.  What took you so long?” JC teased.

Alexis smiled and shook her head.  “We were just chatting with the Host.  He’s a friend. “

“A “friend” huh?  Should I be concerned?” JC asked raising an eyebrow.

Michelle couldn’t help herself.  It was just too good.

“No, you shouldn’t but Lance probably should.” Michelle replied with a smirk.

“Me?! Why me?!” Lance exclaimed.

Michelle didn’t miss a beat.

“Oh Lance…you sweet man…you have no idea…you are a magical creature and you don’t even know it!  How you got this much HOTTER over the past almost five years the world may never know, but you did, and NOW…we’ll see whose undies get a little wetter at your shows…the ladies or all the gay men?!”

Around the table the other members of *NSYNC couldn’t help but laugh, meanwhile, Lance was the color of a tomato.

“OH MY GOD Michelle!” JC smirked as he shook his head.

“You laugh, but you know it’s true.” Michelle shot back.

“Probably.” Joey chuckled.

Lance blushed and nodded.  “Thank you…I think.”

Alexis smiled as she took her seat between him and JC.

“It was a compliment.  It may not have sounded that way, but it was.  Of the three of us, Michelle probably has the weakest filter sometimes…then again, after growing up with April and I, I would imagine it would be hard not to.”

“That’s an understatement.” Michelle snorted as she took her seat between Joey and Justin on the other side of the table.

“Good to know.” Lance chuckled.

For a while after, everyone just sat and chatted as they perused the menu.  Then, a waiter came to take their orders.  Once the food was delivered the conversation continued between bites of food.  About halfway through the meal Alexis got up and excused herself to the ladies’ room.  Michelle saw this as an opportunity.  However, she needed to be quick and get out what she needed to say before Alexis returned.

“Ok Josh…I know you say you remember EVERYTHING about Lexi, so I’m gonna  PRAY TO GOD that’s true and you have something planned otherwise I’m going to have to kick your ass!”

“Umm…”JC replied confused.

Michelle gave him a withering look.  “OH MY GOD…Josh…you’re kidding, right?!  JOSH…think about it…what is today?”

JC made a face.  “Saturday.”

Michelle shook her head at his reply and smirked bit.  “Uh huh, and what’s the date?”

Apparently, Michelle was trying to make a point, but what that might be, he had no clue.

“I don’t know…August something…”

“It’s the 19th.” Lance replied, coming to JC’s rescue.

“Which would make Monday what, Josh?” Michelle replied, now glaring at JC.

“The 21st .” JC replied after quickly doing the math in his head.

Michelle couldn’t help but snort a little and shake her head in disbelief.  He still wasn’t getting it.

“Mmm Hmm, Monday, August 21st…and why might that date be significant?”

“Ummm…” JC stuttered.

“UGH! You are such a guy sometimes!  Alright, let me help you out…August 21, 1978 at about 5:30 a.m. Eastern time a baby was born.  That baby’s name is Alexis Danielle Moretti and then 8 minutes and 21 seconds later, her twin; April Denise Moretti was born.  In other words, Monday is their birthday!” Michelle snapped back.

Immediately JC groaned and covered his face with his hand.  “FUCK! You’re right…I forgot! God, I am a terrible boyfriend!  What do I do?”

Michelle smirked.  “Well, for starters, call yourself her boyfriend to her face.  That should earn you a few points at least.”

JC grunted and made face.  “I’m being serious.  What do I do?”

Michelle sighed.  “I’m afraid I can’t be much help.  I have no idea what to do either.  I was trying to convince April to come out…you know…since they are actually speaking to each other but they are both SO busy.  April is getting ready for a fashion show and Alexis is promoting the album.  To be honest, I was hoping you had an idea, but obviously not.”

“Well, what does she want for her birthday?” Joey jumped in.

Michelle giggled a bit. “Hard to say.  Birthdays have always been tricky with my sisters, probably because they had to share the spotlight.  Neither one of them have ever been big on gifts, it was always about the experience and the memories.  My Mom and Dad always went out of their way to make them both feel special on their day.  Me too, but you know what I mean.”

JC nodded as an idea started to form in his head.  One that would take some effort to pull off given the time crunch, but one he hoped would have the right impact.  If Alexis’s birthday was all about making her feel special then he was more than willing to do anything and everything to make that happen.

For April too.  Yes, there was history there, and yes, it still felt awkward between them but Alexis and April were twins and it wasn’t fair to April that Alexis got all the attention on their birthday.

“I think I have an idea but I’m going to need your help, and yours too Justin.” JC said smiling.

“Ok?’ Justin asked raising an eyebrow.

JC grinned and then quickly started to explain.  He knew that Alexis would be back from the Ladies room at any moment.

“Michelle, what’s on your schedule for tomorrow and Monday?”

Michelle looked back at him curiously. “Umm…not much.  I have to finish editing my Capstone proposal and I have some things to do for Alexis’s website but nothing completely time consuming, why?”

“Well, when was the last time you and April hung out?” JC asked, his eyes smiling.

Michelle was beyond intrigued now.  Whatever JC was planning sounded like she was going to be involved.

“Umm…when she was here a few weeks ago.  Why do you ask?” Michelle answered.

JC ignored the question, at least for the moment.  “And before that?”

Michelle screwed up her face in thought.  “Last Christmas, I think.”

JC nodded and grinned.  He was liking his plan more and more.  “Have you ever been to New York?”

Michelle was starting to catch on and her eyes went wide.

“A couple of times, but not in several years.”

JC grinned and looked to Justin.  “Hey man, do you think you could spare your jet for a day?”

Justin nodded. “Yeah, why? What are you planning?”

JC looked back at Michelle and could no longer contain his excitement.  “How would you like to go to New York and spend some time with April? I will arrange for a little “staycation” for the two of you.”

Michelle’s eyes went wide and a huge smile started to tug at her lips.  “There he is …there is the Josh I remember!  That sounds AMAZING but what about Alexis?”

JC chuckled and bit his lip.  “Don’t worry…I got it covered.”

Michelle shook her head and smiled.  “So…let me see if I am following this plan of yours?! You’re going to fly me to New York in Justin’s private jet for a “staycation” with April, meanwhile you’ll be here with Alexis…”

“Having a little romantic staycation of our own.” JC said grinning.

Michelle couldn’t help herself.

“Romantic huh? Can you even do romantic anymore, because I heard…”

JC gave her a look and then grinned devilishly.  “OH YES! I can do romantic…for the right lady …and your sister is DEFINITELY the right lady!”

Michelle smiled and nodded.  “Glad to hear it! Count me in!”

Alexis returned to the table shortly after and nothing more was said on the topic but JC was in full planning mode now.  He had eight years of birthdays to make up for so there was going to be no skimping on the romance.  He was already going over the details in his mind, and the more he thought about it the more excited he felt.  It had been a really LONG time since he’d put this much effort into romancing a woman but Alexis deserved it and he was excited to show her just how much effort he was willing to put into making her feel special.

Truthfully, he had a lot of planning to do and not a lot of time so after dinner he returned to his house alone to start working out the details.

He thought that Alexis might protest, insisting that she wanted to spend time with him but much to his pleasant surprise she didn’t argue when he told her that he had some “things” he needed to take care of.  In fact, she didn’t seem upset or put off at all.  She said that was still tired from the video shoot and wanted to just take it easy which meant he had the rest of the evening to work on his plan.

Upon returning home JC made quick work of getting comfortable.  He changed into a pair of track pants and a t-shirt then settled himself at the kitchen counter with his laptop and a beer.  Smiling to himself he powered on his laptop, put on his glasses and popped the top on his beer.  First on his list, getting things settled for April and Michelle’s “staycation” in NYC.

It was then, as he was staring at his computer screen, trying to come up with the perfect hotel that a memory of the past flashed in his brain, and although it saddened him a little to think about it, he knew that it would go a long way towards showing April that he’d moved on and could FINALLY forgive her.

Immediately he picked up his phone and shot off a text to Michelle.

Josh: Hey…correct me if I’m wrong…”Home Alone 2”…is that still April’s favorite Holiday movie?

Michelle: Yeah…I’m surprised you remember that.  Why do you ask?

JC was grinning a mile wide now.

Josh: Have either of you ever stayed at the Plaza?

Michelle nearly spit the out the tea she was drinking.

Michelle: OH MY GOD JOSH! You are NOT serious!

Josh: Pack your bags ‘Chelle…oh and you might want to give April a heads up

Michelle: I could kiss you right now but I’ll let Alexis take care of that

JC chuckled a bit then punched the number of the Plaza Hotel into his phone.  Once the reservation had been made, he shot off a quick text to Justin to reserve the Jet and arrange a flight time for the next morning.

Now it was time to set his plan for Alexis into motion.  He already had a pretty good idea of what he wanted to do and where he wanted them to stay, he just hoped the room wasn’t already reserved.

The next time he looked at the clock it was already after midnight.  He’d been working on this plan for several hours now but he wasn’t in the least bit tired.  He was way too excited about his plan and hoped that Alexis would like it too.

The next morning Alexis and Michelle were up relatively early.  Alexis had gotten a text from JC late the night before telling her to pack a bag for a couple days and when she started to question him as to why he told her to just do it and not ask questions.  He was up to something for sure.  She just didn’t know what.

“You’re up early for a Sunday morning!” Alexis mused aloud as Michelle strolled out into the living room with a duffel bag in her hand.

“No, I’m not.  You just wouldn’t know that because you’re typically still sleeping at this hour.” Michelle shot back.

Alexis laughed. Michelle did have a valid point.

“Ok, true, so then what’s with the bag?”

Michelle grinned. “I’m headed out of town for a couple days”

Alexis raised an eyebrow.  Something was definitely going on.

“Oh yeah, where are you going?”

Michelle didn’t even bat an eye.

“New York.”

Alexis’s eyes went wide.  “New York?! Since when, and why?”

“Hmm, why could I possibly be going to New York? I wonder!”

Alexis just smirked and rolled her eyes.  “Ok, yeah, you’re going to see April, that’s a given, but why now?”

Michelle grinned at her sister.  It seemed as if Josh wasn’t the only one who had temporarily forgotten what tomorrow was.

“Well…tomorrow is Monday…”

“Yeah, so…it’s Monday…the start of another busy week…why does that matter?”

Michelle couldn’t help but laugh.  “You’re as bad as Josh!  Alexis…do you know what the date is tomorrow?”

“Umm…no…I lost track.” Alexis confessed.

Michelle just laughed more and shook her head.  “Tomorrow is the 21st of August…”

Alexis’s jaw dropped and her eyes went wide.  It was starting to make sense now.

“You’re going to New York to spend OUR birthday with April…”

Michelle grinned back at her sister and nodded.  “Yes…and you’re going on a little romantic getaway with Josh.”

Alexis blushed.  She could not believe that Josh had gone to so much trouble to plan all of this.

“Your trip to New York…Josh planned that too, didn’t he?” Alexis asked as she smiled and bit her lip.

“Yup!”

“WOW!” Alexis breathed out.

“My thoughts exactly!”

Alexis giggled a bit and shook her head.  “Are you staying some place nice or just crashing at April’s apartment?”

“Nope! Josh is putting us up at the Plaza until Tuesday morning, then I fly back.”

“The Plaza?! Did he pick that or did you?”

Alexis couldn’t believe what she was hearing.  The fact that he remembered that tiny detail all these years later made her wonder just what all he had planned for the two of them!

“He did.”

“Wow! Just wow!  I’m a bit jealous but then I’m not.  I think it’s really sweet he’s including April and acknowledging the fact that it isn’t just MY birthday but hers too.”

“Again, my thoughts exactly.”

Alexis nodded.

“Ok, so if he is putting you and April up at the Plaza do you know where he is taking me?”

Michelle smiled and shook her head.  “Not a clue, but if the Plaza is any indication then I have a feeling it’s going to be AMAZING!”

Alexis giggled a bit.  “Guess I better finish packing then.”

“Yeah, that might be wise.  Justin is supposed to be here to pick me up to take me to the airport in a few minutes.  He has some business in New York to take care of so he is flying out with me…on his private jet!”

Alexis laughed at this and held up four fingers.

Michelle just shook her head and smirked.  “I’m not making ANY promises!”
