After having breakfast together, everybody made themselves comfortable in the living room.

„Hey Eve, I’m really impressed from your work in C’s house.“ Jess said. 

„Thank you.“ Eve answered, smiling at her.

„I was wondering if you would be interested redesigning Silas’ bedroom. He’s a big boy now but his room is still looking like a toddler’s room.“ Jess explained. 

Eve felt deeply flattered. 

„Of course. It would be my pleasure helping you with the redesign.“ She answered. 

„That’s really cool. I can show you his room now, if this is okay for you?“ Jess suggested.

„Sure.“ Eve said. 

Both stood up and went upstairs. Eve needed to admit that Silas’ room wasn’t appropriate to his age anymore. Immediately she had some ideas how to improve the design. 

„What are his current interests?“ Eve wanted to know.

„Legos.“

Eve smiled.

„I will prepare some ideas next week and send them to you.“

„Yes, this would be awesome. Thank you, Eve.“ 

„You’re welcome. My boss will surely freak out when I tell her that you’re my new client.“ 

„So, it’s a win-win situation.“ Jess joked.

„Absolutely.“ Eve replied. 

„How on earth you managed getting Jessica Biel as your new client?!“ Mateo asked excitingly, entering Eve’s office on Monday morning.

„How on earth you know? I just left Rachel’s office five minutes ago.“ Eve replied. 

„I have my ears everywhere.“

„That’s very concerning.“

„Eve, tell me!“

„Josh and Justin are best friends…“ Eve said.

She enjoyed shocking him. Mateo stared at her with his mouth wide open.

„Justin Timberlake is your boyfriend’s best friend?!“ Mateo stammered. 

„Yes, Mat.“

„How on earth did that happen???“

„*NSYNC.“

Mateo processed hard. 

„Oh my goodness… are you saying Josh was in the band???“

Eve nodded.

„Why the hell you never mentioned that???“

„I didn’t want making a big deal out of it. Besides… it took a while until I found out myself, to be honest…“ 

„Jesus Christ. You are a starfucker.“ 

„Mat, don’t call me that. Josh’s career is quite different nowadays…“ 

„I don’t care! He’s a band member of *NSYNC! They are legend, Eve!“ 

„You’re cute saying that.“ 

„You lucky bitch…“ 

„I know. It’s unreal… I’m still processing all of this…“

At the same time Josh met Lance for their workout in the gym. 

„It was so good to see all of you.“ Josh said, being on the treadmill next to Lance.

He was in much better shape now and able having a conversation during his run. 

„It was awesome. I really missed this.“ Lance replied. 

„I guess Joey will be around more often now to see Lucy.“ Josh said, grinning shady. 

„Is she really hooked?“ 

„That’s what I heard.“ 

„Unbelievable that this old jerk still didn’t lose his appeal to chicks.“ Lance joked. 

„I really have the feeling it could end up being serious.“ 

„Talking about serious. Eve is abnormally admiring you. You know that right?“ 

Josh smiled all over his face now. 

„I told her that I love her. And she said it back.“

„Holy crap, that was fast, Bro. Normally it takes you forever saying that.“

„I know. But it just feels right.“

„Good lord… I already hear the wedding bells!“ Lance teased. 

Josh smiled. 

„Ya… but there’s one thing which concerns me, to be honest…“

„What thing?“ Lance asked curiously.

„You remember when I told you that Eve met Jen?“

„Of course I remember that.“ 

„Jen made a stupid comment saying, that Eve would surely ask for a baby someday…“

„And?“

„Eve replied, that she didn’t like kids.“

„Oh.“

„I have no idea if she really meant what she said.“

„I see. But you’re scared talking about it because you don’t wanna send the wrong signals at this point, right?“

„Right.“

„Well… when she was at our place she didn’t make the impression not liking kids. She was doing great with the twins, don’t you think?“ 

„Yes, that’s exactly what I was thinking in that moment. And she also enjoyed playing with Silas and Phin at Justin’s place yesterday morning.“

„So, possibly she just said it to talk back to Jen.“ 

„I hope so…“

„C… she surely believes you don’t want kids. I mean, you told her, this was the reason why Jen and you broke up. And then Jen made that shitty comment…“

„Ya… I know. But I have no idea how to clarify things without scaring her off…“

„I’m struggling with something…“ [Josh]

„What is it?“ [Cupcake]

„How to explain to you that sleeping alone is not an option for me anymore.“ [Josh]

Eve smiled all over her face reading his message. 

„I said you can sleep at my place at any time. I didn’t change my mind just because your bed finally arrived…“ [Cupcake]

„That’s what I wanted to hear. See you tonight, beautiful.“ [Josh]

Eve came home late. Lucy was sitting at the dining table in her pjs and surfing in the internet.

„Hey girl. How was your day?“ She asked Eve when she let herself fall at the free chair opposite of her. 

„Things are getting exhausting. I have two new clients at once. But I’m not complaining.“ 

„So, the Timberlakes and who else?“ 

„A house in Beverly Hills. It’s getting refurbished.“

„Any famous people?“

„Dunno… I didn’t talk to any of them in person. Just with their assistant.“

„You’re doing the whole house?“

„Yap.“

„Congrats. Rachel knows you’re the best.“

„You’re cute saying that, Lu.“ 

The doorbell rang in the next second. 

„He’s still our roomie?“ Lucy asked. 

Eve grinned. 

„Hope you don’t mind?“

„No. I got used to your noice.“ Lucy teased. 

Eve stood up and let Josh in. 

„Hi.“ She said adoringly.

„Hi.“ He replied, smiling all over his face. 

Then he kissed her gently.

„I missed you.“

„Same here.“

Eve kissed him once again, but more passionately. 

„Excuse me, but I’m still sitting here.“ Lucy complained half seriously. 

Eve broke their kiss and rolled her eyes. 

„Hi, Lu.“ Josh said. 

„Hi, roomie…“ She replied. 

„Are you hungry?“ Eve asked him.

„No… I just had some dinner with a client.“ 

She smiled, grabbed his hand and pulled him to her bedroom. Lucy’s cell and her earphones were lying next to her. As they passed the table she put them in and grinned dirty. Eve shook her head and grinned back.

„Are we too loud?“ Josh asked, when they entered her bedroom. 

Eve closed the door and switched on the lamp on her bedside table.

„Ehm… Lucy says it’s just me.“ She said cheeky. 

„Well… I like it when you’re loud…“ He replied and pulled her close to his chest.
