Eve looked at Justin as she hung up. They just reached his car in the parking lot. 

„You two are good?“ Justin asked.

„Ya, sure. Don’t worry.“ Eve replied. „Josh called you stupid jerk and says hi.“

Justin rolled his eyes. 

They entered the car, Eve started the engine and drove Justin back home. She was completely relaxed now. Justin was surprised about her sudden confidence and decided it was time to speak about that topic. 

„Why you don’t have an own car?“ He wanted to know.

Eve glanced at him for a second. Then she answered. 

„Five years ago, I was involved in a bad car accident. Someone died. I was traumatized since then.“

Justin was very obviously deeply shocked and stared at her with his eyes wide open. 

„Oh fuck… I’m so sorry, Eve. Does it mean, you didn’t drive since then?!“ 

„Ya, until today…“

„Why didn’t you tell me?! I could have called a taxi! “

„Look… it was good that all of this happened. I mean, not your accident but… I needed a reason to overcome my fear. I was scared of driving on my own for so many years but now I realized I still can do this. It feels really relieving.“

„Really?“ Justin asked carefully. 

„Really, Justin. It looks like I just needed a trigger. It still feels a little weird but I’m fine. Honestly, I should even thank you for this.“

„I don’t think you should thank me for this.“

„Well, if you haven’t tried to kill yourself, probably I would have never tried driving again.“ She joked.

„Now you sound melodramatic, M.“ He teased back and smiled. 

„That’s how you call me now? Like James Bond calls his boss?“ She asked, smiling back. 

„Yes. But in your case M stands for Ms. Moneypenny.“

„Why that?“

„Because Moneypenny’s first name is Eve.“

„Oh.. I didn’t know that.“ Eve said surprised. 

„See… you can learn from me.“ Justin boasted, grinning cheeky. 

„So, you want me to call you Mr. Bond now?“ She joked.  

„Actually, it would be cool playing James Bond some day.“

„Well, why not… go for it.“ 

„Maybe I will.“ 

There was silence for a moment, before Eve continued talking. 

„007… tell me why you came back home today? I believed you planned staying in Montana with Jess and the boys.“

„Ya, that was the plan. But I have some things to clarify concerning my album release. That’s why I came back.“

„Album release?!“ Eve squeaked and her heart immediately accelerated. 

„Ya… album release. I’m working on some new music.“

„Oh wow… that’s awesome!!!“ She continued cheering.

Justin raised his eyebrows. 

„M… do you… are you…?“

Eve looked at him and and grinned naughty. 

„Yap…“

„So? A fangirl just saved my life?“ He teased and smiled all over his face. 

„Oh please… I’m too old for being called like that.“

„I don’t think there is an age limit.“

Eve continued smiling.

„However, I can’t wait listening to your new album.“

„Well, ehm… very obviously I owe you… so… if you like… I can give you a sneak peek…“

Eve looked at him with her eyes open wide.

„No way… really?!“ She said in deep excitement. 

„Yes, really. I’ll be home in the next days, so… if you find any time in between while finishing Silas’ room, just join me in the studio.“

„Oh my god! Be sure I will!“ 

They arrived at Justin’s house few minutes later. Eve parked the car and went with him inside. Then she gave Josh a short call to pick her up.

„Jeeeeez… it smells awful here.“ Justin complained, entering the kitchen.

Eve followed him and started laughing when she saw the completely burned pizza. 

„Enjoy your meal, 007.“ She teased. 

„That’s not funny. I’m starving.“

„We can go somewhere to have some junk food, when Josh is here.“ She suggested. 

„Okay.“

In the next moment the doorbell rang. Eve went to the front door and let Josh entering the property. Then she opened up. He parked, exited his car and came inside. 

„You smell smoky.“ He teased, standing in front of her and kissing her lips gently. 

Eve giggled. 

„Don’t make fun of me. I’m a hero as I saved Justin Timberlake’s life.“ She joked. 

Justin came into the hallway. Josh looked at him and shook his head.

„Dear lord… I’m gonna listen to you whining for the next two weeks, right?“ He teased his best friend.

„This is a very serious second-degree burn!“ Justin complained. 

Josh rolled his eyes.

„Stop teasing, babe. It really looked bad.“ Eve defended Justin. 

„Thank you.“ Justin replied, smiling self-satisfied. 

„And how did that happen?“ Josh asked. 

„I’m gonna tell you in your car.“ Justin answered. 

„Why in the car?“

„Because I’m starving. Your girl said I can join you having food somewhere.“

Josh gave her a skeptical look. 

„He’s injured and his wife is far away. We need to keep him from the next kitchen disaster.“ Eve joked. 

„Fine. So, where are we going?“ Josh gave in. 

„I want pizza.“ Justin said. 

After having dinner together it was almost 11 PM. Eve was completely exhausted on their way back home and fell asleep at Josh’s passenger seat, while he and Justin were talking about random stuff. 

„Is she snoring?“ Justin noticed at some point, sitting at the backseat. 

Josh looked at Eve and smiled. 

„Ya… surely she was stressed as hell when she needed to give you a ride to the clinic.“ He said.

„She told me about the accident on our way back home. If I knew what she went through I would have never ask her to bring me.“ Justin replied, still having a bad conscience. 

„I can’t imagine how it feels like losing someone you loved out of the blue. It must be a nightmare.“ 

„Someone she loved??? Are you saying, the person who died was her boyfriend???“ Justin asked in disbelief. 

Josh regretted that he mentioned it, but he assumed Eve told Justin the whole story. 

„It was her husband.“ He replied. 

„Fuck, man. This is brutal…“ Justin said. 

„Ya, I know…“

„There was a short break, before Justin continued talking.“

„Hey C… you know she’s a good one, right? Do yourself a favor and don’t screw this up.“

Josh frowned. 

„I’m not planning screwing this up.“

„You never plan it but in the end…“

„In the end what?“ Josh asked eagerly. 

„Dude… you know what I mean… at some point you always find a reason for not doing the next step. And then things start falling apart. It happened before more than once. But this one… you would be an idiot if you let her go.“

Josh knew what Justin was talking about. He didn’t like to hear it but his best friend was right.

„I know how it sounds T… but believe me when I say, it’s different with her. I want things with her which I didn’t want with anyone else…“ 

„You mean… you really consider…?“ 

„It feels right. It never felt that right.“

Justin smiled all over his face and patted Josh’s shoulder. 

„C… that’s awesome.“

„I know.“

Josh dropped Justin off at his place and finally arrived home. Eve was still sleeping. He decided not waking her up. Instead he left the car to open the front door. Then he returned, open Eve’s door and unbuckled her carefully. He lifted her up and carried her into the house. 

„Thank god you’re that tiny, cupcake.“ He talked to himself on his way upstairs. 

Then he laid her down in his bed carefully. Eve was still motionless, being in a deep sleep. Delicately he undressed her shoes and her shorts. Then he took the blanked and covered her body. He sat down at the edge of the bed for a minute and stroke her cheek softly. 

„I will never let you go.“ He whispered and kissed her forehead. 

Eve woke up next morning by the smell of fresh coffee. She opened her eyes slowly, seeing Josh with two mugs in his hand sitting next to her.

„Hi, sleeping beauty.“ He said and smiled. 

Eve took a deep breath, stretched herself and sat down next to him slowly. She noticed that she was still wearing her shirt from the prior day. Then she looked at him, smiled back and took a mug. 

„Thank you.“ She said, taking a sip. 

„Did you sleep well?“ Josh asked and kissed her forehead. 

„Ya… I slept like a baby. Did you bring me here? Because I can’t remember how I made it into bed.“ 

„I did.“ 

„Hm.“ Eve said, grinning cheeky.

„What that supposed to mean?“

„You’re a real gentleman. When I was you, I would completely dressed you off…“ She joked. 

„And then what?“ He asked, smiling back.

„Well… the most likely scenario would have been me turning hot, waking you up and ask for sex.“ 

„Baby… you will never need to ask for sex…“

Eve smiled all over her face. Then she came closer and kissed his lips gently. Josh deepen their kiss, longing for more. But Eve interrupted him.

„What time is it?“

„8 AM.“

„Shit… I have no time for this… Silas’ furniture will be delivered in a half hour. Thank god I’m in the Hills already.“

Josh took her mug out of her hand and put both at the bedside table.

„Half hour is enough for me.“ He said temptingly and made her lay on her back in a second.

Eve giggled, while he was busy dressing of her shirt and her underwear. Then he got rid of his briefs and lay down on top of her.

„Morning sex is your favorite, hm?“ She teased and panted when he entered her slowly. 

„What can I say… I like starting my day inside of you…“ He replied, grinning dirty…
