Eve and JC enjoyed their food at her sofa. 

„I missed you,“ she said with full mouth. 

„I missed you, too,“ he replied, giving her a loving smile. 

„I went to Sandra’s place because I didn’t want sleeping in my bed without you,“ she explained. 

„That’s brutally cute.“ 

„By the way, I noticed Justin’s driver following me. It was ridiculous.“ 

JC chuckled. 

„I swear I didn’t ask T doing all of this. He just wanted to help.“ 

„I know. He’s a good friend. And a freak.“ 

„Yes, he is.“ 

Eve cleared her throat. 

„He told me the reason why he was hitting on me.“ 

JC made an annoyed face. 

„Believe me, I would have made the first step on my own at some point. But he decided pushing me hard.“ 

„Is that true?“ 

He gave her another deep look.

„It is true. Still, I’m happy he kept me from wasting more time.“ 

Eve gave him a shy smile. 

„He also said, that he really liked me.“

„I know that. But I can’t blame him for having good taste, right?“ 

Eve frowned.

„Isn’t it weird for you?“ 

„No.“

„Why not?“ 

„Because I trust him.“ 

Eve looked at him for a moment, being kind of impressed how deep their friendship was.

„What happened to Justin and his wife?“ she wanted to know next.

JC finished his meal and put his plate at the coffee table. Eve did, as well. 

„They are going through a tough time, as they want different things from life. But I am sure they will figure things out.“ 

„Will they?“ 

„Yes. T just needs time to realize, that no one out there can give him what Jess can. She’s meant for him.“ 

„It’s sweet how you see things.“

„Just the truth.“

She smiled at him. 

„Enough talking. I want you on my lap right now,“ he ordered and grabbed her hand to pull her closer. Eve sat down on top of him, biting her lower lip.

„Kiss me, kitten,“ he whispered. 

She licked his lips playfully, feeling him getting hard quickly. Then she grabbed his shirt and got rid of it in a second. Right after he did the same with her tanktop.

„Thank you. This means a lot to me. I wanted to ask you earlier, but I was afraid it was too soon.“ 

„I was waiting for you to ask me,“ she confessed. 

He gave her a surprised look.

„Really?“

„Yes.“

He kissed her again.

„I wished I knew how you felt about it. I really thought you might be overwhelmed or something.“

„I know things between us became serious incredibly fast. But it feels right. I don’t wanna be with anyone else but you. What I feel for you, I felt for nobody else before, Josh.“

His heart was melting hearing her say that. 

„You stole my heart in the moment you entered my office, honey.“ 

„Then why have you been so mean to me, hm?“ She complained half seriously. 

„I didn’t want you having power over me. But I realized quickly it was hopeless.“ 

„Does it mean I’m the boss now?“ she joked. 

JC looked deep into her eyes. 

„You’re more than that. Everything changed for a better with you. I can’t imagine my life without you anymore. And I can’t imagine my firm without you.“

Eve was deeply touched. She pulled his face closer and kissed him one more time. Then she suddenly giggled.

„Does it mean I’ll get a raise?“ she talked into his mouth.

JC gave her an outraged look. Then he put her arms above her head and bit her neck playfully. She couldn’t stop herself from laughing. 

„It was just a simple question!“ 

He continued teasing her, enjoying her outburst. 

„Greedy little brat!“  

„Josh, enough! I’ll pee myself if you don’t stop!“ 

He looked at her again, still holding her hands. 

„Lucky you, that I’m a sucker for your sass.“ 

„It’s turning you on, hm?“ 

„Badly.“
