It was next morning. JC woke up in bed, spooning Eve tightly. He was incredibly relieved that they figured things out. He raised his upper body a little bit and turned her carefully onto her back. She was still sleeping peacefully. After watching her for a short moment, he begun placing gentle kisses all over her face. 

„Mmmmm…“ she purred, without opening her eyes. 

„Wake up, baby. I’m not letting you skipping work another day,“ he whispered. 

„It’s too early.“

„It’s 8 AM.“

She grinned, with her eyes still being closed.

„What happened to your self discipline, early bird?“

„You ruined it.“ 

Finally she opened her eyes, still smiling. He smiled back and kissed her lips softly. 

„Please don’t worry about going to the office. I said I’m gonna fix things and I meant it,“ he continued talking. 

She raised one hand and caressed his hair. 

„I’m not worrying.“ 

„Good. Then move your lazy butt out of bed and make yourself ready.“ 

„I’m ready for other things,“ she said temptingly. 

He kissed her again. Then he suddenly stopped and left the bed, being completely naked. She gave him an outraged look.

„Where are you going?“ 

„Shower.“

„You can’t turn me on and just leave.“

„Yes I can.“ 

He gave her a naughty smile and disappeared in the bathroom. As she heard him starting the water, Eve jumped out of bed. She followed him under the shower, sneaking up from behind. Then she embraced his upper body and placed gentle kisses on his shoulders. JC smiled self satisfied. 

„At least sex motivates you to stand up,“ he teased, before turning in her direction. 

She put her arms around his neck, pushing herself close to his body. He was already hard for her.

„Yes, it does…“ 

In the next second he grabbed her thighs and lifted her up. She looped her legs around him, as he pinned her agains the glass pane. 

„I can’t get enough of you, baby,“ he said, before entering her hard and deep. 

She gasped for air and gave him a dirty smile. 

„Lucky me…“ 

Nicole was sitting at her desk, looking terribly exhausted. She didn’t sleep well after what happened in the bar, still having a terribly bad conscience. 

One elevator arrived upstairs and caught her attention. The doors got open. Eve and JC stepped outside, holding hands. She stared at them in pure disbelief, as they were coming closer. 

Both finally stopped standing in front of her desk. She didn’t know how to react. 

„Good morning,“ JC said. 

Eve just smiled and waited for any kind of response. 

„Good morning,“ Nicole stammered.

She looked at them for another moment, before she continued talking. 

„You… you’re good, right? You two figured things out?“

„Yes,“ Eve answered. 

Nicole’s relief couldn’t get any bigger. She left her desk and fell around Eve’s neck.

„I’m so sorry… you have no idea how sorry I am…“

Eve hugged her back heartily. 

„Don’t worry. We’re good,“ she assured her. 

Both released each other, giving their attention to JC.

„Is he your boyfriend now?“ Nicole dared asking. 

„Yes, I am,“ he answered. 

Nicole smiled. 

„I’m happy for you. I mean, I still need to process all of this but… it’s awesome.“ 

„You’re sweet saying that,“ Eve replied. 

JC grabbed her hand again. 

„Let’s talk at lunch,“ Eve suggested, before going inside with JC. 

„Can’t wait,“ Nicole said, still smiling all over her face.

All eyes were on them, when Eve and JC entered the open space office. It was completely silent, as no one dared saying a word. Eve expected something like that, but still it felt terribly awkward. 

JC suddenly stopped. Eve looked at him surprised. He cleared his throat. 

„As I already have all your attention…“ he started talking. „I’m not having an affair with my assistant. I’m in a serious relationship with her. If anybody has a problem with it, feel free to walk out that door and not coming back.“ 

Eve was flattered and shocked at the same time. She didn’t expect him talking to his staff like that. 

„Any further burning questions?“ JC asked next. 

Everybody just watched him, feeling intimidated.

„No? Great.“ 

JC continued walking with Eve to her desk. Then she looked at him and smiled. 

„You’re good?“ he asked, smiling back at her. 

She nodded. He kissed her forehead before heading towards his office. Eve bit her lower lip and sat down at her chair. Richard was staring at her. 

„What?“ she asked.

„Nothing…“ he stammered. „I… um… I just didn’t expect all of this, to be honest.“

„What did you expect instead?“ 

„I thought you want Justin.“ 

Eve scoffed. 

„I told you that I changed my mind.“ 

„But I didn’t believe you.“ 

She shrugged her shoulders. Richard gave her a regretful look.

„I’m sorry things came out the way they did. I know I screwed this up badly.“ 

„We needed some time to find out how to deal with it. But don’t worry, Josh and I are good.“ 

Richard raised one eyebrow. 

„Josh?“ 

„Yes. Josh.“ 

„He was hot for you from the beginning. I told you when I was in the clinic.“

Eve smiled.

„I remember that conversation.“

„However, I’m very happy for you two.“ 

„Thank you Richy.“ 

Then he stood up and went to her desk. She stood up as well and hugged him close.“ 

„For the record, I don’t feel like having my outing with Nicole, yet,“ he whispered in her ear. 

„But my boyfriend already knows,“ she whispered back. 

Richard released her and gave her a concerned look.

„Don’t worry. He thinks you two are sweet together.“ 

„Um… I hope he doesn’t expect me giving a speech in front of the whole team, as well.“ 

Eve giggled.

„He doesn’t. But I think Nicole would love this kind of commitment.“ 

„Um… thanks for the information… but no.“ 

Eric entered the open space office in the next moment. He passed Eve’s desk and gave her a stern look, without saying a word. He didn’t say hi to JC either on his way into his office. 

JC noticed him. He was aware of, that Eric was still upset about their fight the prior day. Having another argument with his friend was not what he wanted. But Eric needed to understand, that there was no way that Eve was leaving his firm. 

Finally JC stood up and went into Eric’s office. He closed the door and stopped standing in front of his desk.

„What do you want, hm?“ Eric asked annoyed. 

„I just informed the staff about my relationship with Eve.“

Eric laughed cynically. 

„Touching.“ 

JC took a deep breath, trying to focus. He didn’t want losing his temper again. 

„What is going on with you, Ricky? I understand your concerns about me dating an employee, but honestly, this is not the end of the world. Why do you overreact that hard?“ 

Eric looked at him for a moment. If he was honest, he didn’t know why exactly Eve was upsetting him so much. He needed to admit, that he simply didn’t like her and the fact, that she was having influence on JC. 

„All I do is trying to protect the firm. This is all,“ he finally said. 

„The firm is fine.“

„You just say that because you’re blinded by your feelings for her. You’re putting your private interests above your firm, Jay. And this is not good.“ 

„I don’t get it. When we’ve been in the club you paid the bouncer to keep other guys away from her. Why you tried to help, if you don’t want me being with her?“

Eric sighed.

„When I helped you, I didn’t expect you would keep her as your assistant after banging her.“

JC shook his head.

„I told you my feelings were serious.“ 

„Yes, you did. But still I believed there was no way you would let her continue working for you. Mixing your love life with business is not healthy and you know it.“ 

„This is how things are, Ricky. I suggest you get used to this situation.“ 

„Fine. Do what you want. But if things run out of control one day, don’t you dare wining.“
