He moved his head closer to kiss her mouth. Before he closed the gab, she placed her index finger on his lips.

„Not like this. If we start all over again, I want the whole package.

Silas raised his eyebrows.

„What does that mean?“

„I want a first date. And if it’s good, I’m gonna kiss you. Or not…“ she said, finally smiling at him.

Silas sighed.

„Damn, I should have asked for the terms and conditions before agreeing to that.“

She giggled. He kissed her forehead, smiling back at her.

„Hey um… I need to get ready for work,“ she changed the subject.

Silas frowned.

„Work?“

„I’m working on my first collection with Andrea. Turned out she’s a tailor, sharing my passion for fashion. She encouraged me starting my own business,“ Lisa explained.

„Wow… Tinky… that’s awesome… it’s a big step. I’m proud of you.“

She smiled sheepishly.

„You think this is a good idea?“

„Of course this is a good idea. I have no single doubt you can do this,“ he answered genuinely. „I would love to see your work.“

She raised her right hand and run with her fingers through his wild hair. He loved when she was doing this to him.

„You can pick me up tonight at Andrea’s place. I’ll show you my work and then…“

„Then what?“

„I hope you take me out for dinner or something.“

„Sound like a plan.“

She was still smiling at him. Silas turned serious.

„Tink… there’s another thing I need to know…“

She knew what he was having on his mind.

„Nothing happened with Tom.“

He gave her a skeptical look.

„Nothing?“

„Nothing.“

Silas begun grinning cockily.

„Well… he’s not your type anyway…“

She raised her eyebrows.

„What makes you sure about that, hm?“

He pulled her into his arms again.

„It’s simple. He’s not me.“

Silas was fighting his jetlag. When Lisa left for work, he prepared an effortless breakfast and ate it front of the telly.

Some time later the doorbell rang. He put his plate aside and went to the front door to open up.

„Good morning, Tom said,“ giving him an irritated look.

Silas was also confused about Tom showing up.

„Good morning."

„Yesterday you looked like a homeless. Today you look like a Hollywood star. It’s a very interesting transformation,“ Tom teased.

„Um ya… I shaved my face... finally…“ Silas replied, still wondering why Tom was there.

„Good for you.“

Both stared at each other for a short moment.

„Um... Lizzy left to do some work with your grandma,“ Silas said next to kill the silence.

„I know,“ Tom replied.

„So… why are you here then?“

„As you’ve certainly nothing better to do, I was wondering, if you may help me in my workshop today.“

Silas frowned. Things got more and more confusing with every second.

„Workshop?“

„I have to finish an order urgently and could need a hand.“

„What kind of order?“

„A table.“

„Are you saying you’re a carpenter?"

„I am.“

There was another pause. Silas needed to sort his mind first.

„Um… ya… I can help you,“ he finally said.

„Good,“ Tom replied.

Then he gave Silas a note with the address.

„My workshop is at the main street. You can walk from here.“

„So…?“ Andrea said, when she made a short coffee break with Lisa in the kitchen.

Lisa raised her eyebrows, taking a sip.

„So what?“

„Did you clarify things with Silas?“

Lisa nodded, cracking a smile.

„Is he the one you told me being the love of your life?“

She nodded again.

„Will you give him another chance?“

„Yes. He’s everything for me, Andy. You have no idea how much I love him.“

Andrea gave her a calm smile.

„I’m happy for you. Even if it means, that my grandson lost his chance.“

„Tom is awesome and a wonderful friend. But I’m not what he needs.“

„Why would you say that, darling?“

„I don’t belong here. This beautiful place gave me peace when I needed it the most… but… it’s not home.“
