„What did you want, hm?“ Eve said some time later, meeting Phin with a cup of coffee in her hand at the terrace. 

He was just wearing boxer briefs, sitting in their outdoor lounge and being busy with his cell. 

„I have no clean clothes,“ he answered. 

„Really? You disturbed us, because you miss clean clothes?“ 

„As you see I have nothing to wear, M. This is a serious problem.“ 

She gave him a stern look.

„Phineas. This isn’t a hotel with butler service.“ 

He raised his eyebrows.

„What are you trying to say?“ 

„If you want clean clothes, do your damn laundry.“ 

„But… you always made my laundry.“ 

„I’m not offering that service any longer, as I don’t have a housekeeper who supports me with anything.“

„Why not?“ 

„Your dad and I moved here to live all by ourselves in peace.“ 

„Well, your plan didn’t work out.“ 

„I noticed. But don’t believe I am doing your shit now.“ 

„Are you doing Jake’s shit?“ 

„No.“ 

„Can he do laundry?“ 

„I don’t know and honestly, I don’t care.“

„I bring my stuff to Lizzy,“ they heard Jake saying.

He entered the terrace with a cup of coffee. Eve crossed her arms.

„Are you serious?“ 

„She loves me more, than my mom does,“ Jake teased. 

„Oh… I have an own mom… this could work,“ Phin talked to himself. 

„Jess will certainly be amazed,“ Eve replied cynically. 

„What are you arguing about?“ Justin asked, being the next entering the terrace. 

„They complain about me not doing their laundry.“ 

„Is she doing yours?“ Phin asked his dad. 

„No. She’s forcing me doing hers,“ Justin answered. 

Eve gave him an outraged look.

„How you dare complaining? I’m cleaning the whole house all by myself in return.“

„Really? I didn’t see you cleaning my room even once,“ Jake teased.

„One more word and you live in The Hills again - if your loving sister lets you,“ Eve talked back. 

„Can I borrow a shirt and pants from someone?“ Phin asked. 

„No,“ Jake and Justin said at the same time. 

The doorbell rang and interrupted their silly fight. 

Justin went into the hall and opened up. He returned to the terrace with Lisa and Silas. 

„What brings you here that early?“ Eve asked surprised, before giving both of them a quick hug. 

Lisa smiled all over her face.

„We brought our wedding invitations,“ she cheered, handing over the envelopes. 

„Is Barbie your wedding planner?“ Phin teased, staring at the light pink envelope. 

„I wished it was Barbie… but no… it’s Lizzy from 2030,“ Silas said cynically. 

Lisa gave him a warning look. 

„You agreed to all of this, remember?“ 

„I remember,“ he said, suppressing a smile.

„Wait… you’re marrying on New Year’s Day?“ Eve asked surprised, reading the invitation. 

Lisa exchanged glances with Silas. Then she smiled calmly and grabbed her mother’s hand. 

„I love your and dad’s love story, mom. I remember when you told me how you met in that Mexican bar on New Year’s Day and then got married one year later at the same day. I put this beautiful idea on my wish list, when I begun planning my wedding with Silas.“ 

Eve looked at her daughter, needing a moment to process. Lisa continued explaining. 

„I know the same day we lost dad. But… I still want this day to be a happy day for all of us. Instead of being devastated about what happened to him, I wanna honor the day and remember the amazing time we’ve shared with him. I don’t wanna cry tears of sadness. I wanna cry happy tears, with all of you.“ 

Eve nodded, loving Lisa’s idea about that special date.

„Are you okay with it?“ Lisa asked carefully. 

„Yes, I do,“ Eve replied. „It’s beautiful what you’ve just said.“ 

Lisa hugged her mother tightly. Then she released her, with an even brighter smile in her face. 

„Look at the wedding location.“ 

Eve read the name and the address of the location.

„Oh my god, Lizzy… the Ritz Carlton in Santa Barbara?“ 

„I hope you don’t mind?“ Lisa reassured herself. 

„Of course not. It’s flattering you gonna marry at the same place where dad and I got married. But I’m very surprised they agreed to host your wedding on short term.“

„Well, first they said no, as they’ve been completely booked ,“ Lisa explained. „But as I mentioned, that I’m marrying a Timberlake, they suddenly changed their minds.“ 

Silas put his arm around her shoulders and kissed her temple.

„That’s my contribution to the wedding organization,“ he boasted. 

Eve raised her eyebrows.

„Well, you played dirty. But I’m happy things worked out.“ 

„Hey um…“ Jake suddenly said. „I understand the reason for marrying on New Year’s Day. But why must it be already next year? Are you in a hurry?“ 

Lisa and Silas exchanges glances again. Then he cleared his throat, giving everybody a sheepish look. 

„The reason why we’re rushing things is… that… we’re expecting a baby.“ 

Eve immediately fell around Lisa’s neck. She already knew from Silas, but getting the official news still felt amazing. 

„I’m so happy for you, my love.“

„Thank you, mom. It means so much.“ 

Justin needed a second longer to process what he’ve just learned. Then he hugged Silas, wishing him all the best. 

Jake and Phin were also completely overwhelmed. The last thing they expected was Lizzy getting pregnant so soon. 

„You’re brutally rushing things,“ Jake teased his sister and gave her a tight hug. 

„Well… it was a big surprise, to be honest,“ Lisa smiled, shrugging her shoulders. 

Jake laughed.

„You shouldn’t have left the situation, when dad offered to demonstrate how to use a condom on a banana.“ 

„I agree to that,“ Eve teased her daughter. 

Phin hugged both of them, while his mind was driving him crazy. He just got used to the fact, that Lisa and Silas were engaged. Her sudden pregnancy and their rushed wedding plans were too much at once.
