Lisa was lying in Phin’s arm. They continued watching their Netflix series. 

„Lizzy?“ Phin dared saying after some time.

„Hm?“ she replied lazily. 

„Do I smell like my brother?“ 

She stopped the series and raised herself.

„I’m sorry, Phin. I… I shouldn’t have used you this way…“ she stammered.

„It’s okay,“ he replied. „I just needed an explanation for this.“ 

Lisa looked at him and nodded.

„You can go, if you want.“

„I don’t wanna go, Lizzy.“ 

He gestured her to lay back in his arm. 

„Are you sure?“ 

„Yes, I’m sure.“ 

She returned into his arm, taking a deep breath. His fresh sweat smelled amazing for her.

„I will come here every day, if it helps. But there’s one condition.“

„Which condition, Phin?“ 

„I want you to eat.“ 

Lisa didn’t reply. 

„Do we have a deal, Lizzy?“ he pushed her. 

„Yes,“ she whispered. „We have a deal.“ 

It was next morning. Eve was on her way into the kitchen and frightened, as she saw Phin preparing food.

„Did… did you spend the night here?“ she asked irritated. 

„Um ya… Lizzy and I fell asleep while watching Netflix.“ 

„I see.“

„She promised me to eat,“ Phin said next, just finishing making French toast. 

Eve gave him a surprised look. 

„How did you manage that?“ 

Phin smiled.

„I made a deal.“

„Honestly spoken I don’t need any details. If you make her eat, I don’t care what you give in exchange…“ 

Phin smiled harder.

„This smell thing was my joker.“

„Well… whatever… thank you, Phin. I’m not taking your help for granted.“

„It’s my pleasure, M.“ 

Eve came few steps closer.

„Hey… um… listen… I know you’re having a crush on Lizzy. You must have been hurt when you learned about her and Silas…“ she said carefully. 

„Ya… it was a giant shock, to be honest,“  Phin admitted. 

„How do you feel about her right now?“ 

Phin took a deep breath.

„I still like her. A lot.“ 

Eve nodded.

„Look, your help is precious, that’s for sure. But be careful before you get unnecessary hurt, sweetheart. Lizzy is just seeing her own pain right now. When Silas shows up again, she won’t hesitate for a single moment doing everything to get him back…“

„I’m not naive, M,“ Phin interrupted her. „She told me very clearly how she feels about me. All I want right now is being a good friend and do whatever is necessary to help bringing her life back into order.“ 

Eve gave him a calm smile. 

„You’re having a beautiful soul, Phin. Thank you.“ 

He smiled back at her. Then he put the toast at a plate.

„I’m gonna make her eat this now.“

Eve nodded, still smiling. 

„Good luck.“
