I've been around the world
Seen a million hunnies
Really special girls
Gave all my time and money
But, there something 'bout ya
Something that's kinda funny

(one week later)

His fingertips fumbled with the clasp of her bra, and his lips inevitably paused their attack on hers as he concentrated harder. He could feel her mouth burning a path down his neck and it became an even more frustrating task. Suddenly she pushed him back for a moment and pulled her shirt over her head, before reaching behind her back and un-doing the hinderence herself. His fingertips wound between hers and he resumed his previous mouth-to-mouth assault.

As the moment heated, and this part of the game grew tired he lifted her half naked body into his arms, and smiled against her lips with a deep chuckle as her legs locked around his waist. He carried her accross the room towards the king sized bed that called to them silently from it's place against the wall. He lay her down gently and then pulled his own shirt off and tossed it aside.

He noticed her eyes grew wider as she looked him over and with a wicked smile he crawled onto the bed and hovered above her. He kissed her lips briefly before he attacked parts of her skin and body that he was sure she never imagined he'd be exploring.

He ran his hands across her body and he chuckled when she nearly screamed in frustration as he took his time pulling her denim skirt down her legs and then kissing his way back up to her stomach, her chest, her neck and then finally...

His lips met hers again and he felt her hand rest against his cheek keeping his mouth molded to hers.

He kicked his own jeans off, and now there was only one layer of easily disposable clothing keeping them apart in the most teasing way. She felt the heat, and a small groan escaped from deep in her throat when his skin and his body pressed against hers.

Then, after a few more agonizing tortous moments of build-up the waiting was over, and he showed her just how true all the rumors about him had been.

"Allie..." His hushed groan whispered into her ear.

She couldn't hold back her own desire any longer and kissed his lips again.

"Justin..."

“Justin!” Allie’s voice penetrated his dream, and his eyes popped open as he tried to distinguish the difference between his dream of their first encounter and his current reality.

“Jay?” She was at his bedside, looking at him curiously and trying to get his attention. His bleary eyes finally focused in on her and an involuntary blush took over and he hoped she wouldn’t ask why. At any rate, if she noticed she chose not to mention it.

“Hmm… yes?” He rubbed at his eyes with his fists and sat up. It was relatively early in the morning and he was definitely not a morning person.

“Get up… we’ve got to get to the airport!” She said.

Justin sighed, he’d pretty much completely forgotten that they were supposed to go pick up Allie’s friend Renee from the airport. She had made plans to come out and visit Allie for a week. Justin was a little apprehensive about having Renee there. He knew he must have met her at some point, when he’d met Allie, but that night was pretty hazy and he really didn’t remember her. He was sure she probably didn’t have a very high opinion of him, despite what Allie may have told her and he was worried about the upcoming visit.

“Okay, give me a half hour.” He said and started to climb out of his bed, but realized he was only in his boxers and that his dream, and just being a guy in general, had left him in quite a predicament.

Allie was watching him and try as she might, Allie couldn’t help but let her eyes scan over his chest, her memory trying to recall what it had felt like to be in his arms. It took her a moment to realize that he wasn't moving, but looking at her, a light blush on his cheeks. It took her another moment to get a clue as to why he wasn't moving.

"I'll just meet you downstairs." She turned away and headed towards the door.

Justin avoided looking directly at her as she left and then he headed towards his bathroom and turned on the shower, making it a little colder then he usually would. He leaned against the wall of the shower and let the cool water erase the damage the dream had done.

It seemed that he took hours to Allie, but true to his word he was ready to go in a half hour and they headed to the airport. Allie’s excitement was clearly evident and Justin had a hard time keeping a smile off his face because hers was so infectious.

They talked the whole ride, which made it seem much too short to him. In fact he’d really felt that the whole week had flown by. They still hadn’t talked to each other about the almost kiss, and Justin certainly wasn’t going to bring it up, but they had gone out to dinner a few times that week and spent a lot of time just getting to know each other.

Justin was upset with himself at not doing that sooner. The more he learned about her the more he liked and he was just hoping that she was coming to the same conclusion.

Justin pulled up to the airport just as Allie’s cell phone rang. It was Renee, letting her know that the plane had landed and just to meet her at the baggage claim. Allie went in alone while Justin waited in the fire lane with the car.

She waited impatiently, occasionally popping up on her toes to look over the tops of people’s heads until she finally saw Renee wave at her.

Suddenly Renee rushed up to her immediately pulling her into a hug.

“Oh my God, would you look at that.” Renee stepped back and looked Allie over before rubbing her stomach in the way people were always so fond of doing. Allie couldn’t help but blush a little.

“Where is he?” Renee asked, looking around for Justin, an undistinguishable tone in her voice.

“He’s got the car parked out front.” Allie replied. “Here, let me help you.” Allie reached for Renee’s carry on bag but she kept it out of your reach.

“How about no.” Renee smiled. “You just let me handle it, and we’ll get that man of yours to do something useful.”

“He’s not my man.” Allie half-smiled, but still corrected Renee.

“Hmm… maybe not… yet. But, he’s no one else’s either, so there’s time to fix that.” Renee started walking to the carosel that was spinning with the luggage from the plane. She watched for her bag as she continued to talk to Allie.

“Ren, we’re not going to get together.”

“We’ll see.” Renee said, she had noticed a glimmer of hope in Allie’s eyes and she knew her friend well enough to know that the thought had definitely crossed her mind at some point.

The two girls continued to chat about Renee’s flight and other things as they walked to the car and when Justin saw them coming through the doors he got out of the car and opened up the back of the SUV to put Renee’s bag in.

“Hey Hot Stuff.” Renee said, the moment Justin was in earshot.

He gave her an awkward smile, and then tossed a concerned look at Allie as he reached for Renee’s suitcase and put it in the back of the car.

He was slightly uncomfortable on the drive home as Allie and Renee caught up and talked about baby stuff and Renee's sleezy ex-boyfriend.

"Heeey Justin." He heard Renee say.

"Hmm?"

"You're friend JC... he's single yes?"

Justin couldn't help but roll his eyes at how bold she was. "Uh... he's not really a one woman kind of guy." He replied, but to be honest he didn't like the idea of his pregnant one night stand's best friend dating his best friend. That would just make this already confusing situation even more complicated.

"Right." Renee glared at the back of Justin's head, but didn't say anything more.

Allie broke the tense atmosphere, "Jay? What are we doing for dinner tonight?"

Justin smiled when she acknowledged him, and took his eyes off the road to look at her quickly.

"I don't know, what did you want to do?"

"Can we go somewhere...?"

"Of course, we can go anywhere you want." He smiled at her again. There were so many candid photos of him and Allie surfacing everywhere now and he still hadn't said anything yet... although he still believed it was no one's business but his own, he knew he would have to say something soon.

Allie hadn't bugged him about it all week and for that he was thankful.

A few hours later, Renee had gotten unpacked, they had all changed and were sitting in a restaurant, ignoring the inquisitive glances of a few people, and enjoying what was shaping up to be a nice evening out.

Justin was silent while Renee and Allie chatted and he basically wasted those moments watching Allie and sipping his drink.

Although, there were often moments where Renee was the one watching the other two. She kept quiet on her observations, at least until after Allie had excused herself to go to the bathroom.

She hid a curious smile by taking a sip of her soda while keeping an eye on Justin as he watched Allie leave. When he turned back she stared staight at him without saying anything.

"What?" He asked her, annoyed by her intense gaze.

"Nothing." Renee replied.

"No, seriously... what's that look for?"

"I just wonder..."

"Yea?"

"When did she become more then a one-night stand gone wrong?"

"What?" He was annoyed now, only because apparently his true emotions weren't as well masked as he'd thought.

"You heard me." Renee took another long sip of her drink, and Justin didn't get a chance to say anything back because Allie was already on her way back to the table. Renee winked at him and then scootched out of the seat herself to go to the bathroom and leaving Justin there alone with Allie.

Allie smiled at the waitress who came to take their plates away and when she looked at Justin she noticed his uneasy demeanor.

"Jay?" She asked and he looked up, as his heart beat a little faster at the sound of her voice.

"Yea?"

"Are you alright?"

He thought for a moment, concentrating on her concerned gaze, and he offered her a weak, but reassuring smile. "I will be." He replied, willing that to be a good enough answer because he honestly didn't think here and now was the best time or place to reveal his true thoughts.

She was confused by his answer, but accepted it for now, all the while wondering what Renee had said to him that now had him so obviously lost.

There's something 'bout the way
You do the things you do
When you do the things you do
That's got me...oh! oh! oh!
