Alex rolled her eyes. "What are you talking about?"

Scott opened his mouth slightly and furrowed his eyebrow in thought. "OK, did he not just kiss your cheek and whisper something to you that made you giggle? HELLO ALEXANDRIA??"

Alex waved him off with the back of her hand. "Whatever Scott, I'm going to go take a shower. Remember we are going to Jen's tonight." Alex began to walk towards the room but Scott jumped up after her and followed her into her bedroom. He pushed her and made her sit on her bed.

"OK, you need to be straight with me. What is going on with you and Justin?" He looked down at her sitting on the edge of her bed, messing with the comforter, smoothin it out.

"Nothing, Scott. Just let it go." She said softly, not looking at him.

He bent over and grabbed her chin, forcing her to look him in the eye. He stared at her for a few moments and shook his head. "How can you be in love with him?"

She jerked away quickly; "I am NOT in love with him. He is a friend. THATS ALL."

"ALEX! Do not lie to me! I know you. Why are you doing this? You are SO careful with your heart and here you are giving it away to someone you cannot have. He has a GIRLFRIEND ALEX! A VERY POPULAR GIRLFRIEND! And I don't think the press would like to know that Justin Timberlake is fooling around with Alexandria Smith, his brothers baby-sitter." Scott was pacing the room.

"Since when did you start caring about my love life, Mr. I'm a pimp of the junior class at my school. Seriously Scott, I'm 2 years older than you I think I cant make up my OWN mind, THANKYOU!"

Scott sighed and walked over to her as she fell back on the bed and stared at the ceiling. She grabbed her stuffed Animal, Spot and hugged him. "Lex, I love you so much. We are a lot closer than normal siblings. And it really REALLY hurts me to see you stoop this low." Alex turned to him with an opened mouth, shocked, and he held up a hand.

"Just let me finish." She sighed and grumbled something under her breath. "I'm not saying that Justin is a bad person or anything. In fact, he is great with you. And under any other circumstances I would cheer you on. But this is not just Justin, the boy you babysit's brother. This is Justin Timberlake, teen idol, boyfriend of the pop princess; he can't even go to the freakin mall without someone watching him. Do you WANT that? Think about it Lex. Do you want someone you see for only half the year? Someone you can only be truly alone with in the privacy of your own home. Do you WANT to be on the next cover of the National Enquirer? Huh? Tell me Alexandria. Tell me, WHY on earth you would be this stupid. Tell me why you would let yourself fall for him."

She turned and looked at Scott who was staring at her, now sitting on her bed as well. "I can't help it Scott. When I get around him, its like another person takes over my body. I crumble Scott. I literally shatter in front of him. He has so much power over me, it...it scares me." She whispered.

Scott sighed and looked at the floor. "Just, be careful. And don't let him completely take over your heart because, I do NOT want to have to fly across the continent just to kick his ass."

Alex chuckled as Scott got up and left her room. "Hey, if he calls while I'm in the shower take a message, and BE NICE SCOTT SMITH!"

"No ma'am." He said smirking as he closed the door.

----------

Justin smiled happily as he got in his house. He pressed the button on his answering machine as he sorted through his mail.

"Hey Curly, I need to ask you something. OK, well, you know you'll be 20 in like 3 weeks and we kinda need some sort of idea of what you don't want so we CAN get it for you anyway. So, give me a call dude. Well, I'll probably see you in like a day or two so nevermind."

Justin shook his head at Joey's personality.

"BABY! Call me. We need to talk, I miss you. Yeah, so what? It's been like 3 days right? The AMA's are coming soon. I cannot WAIT to go with you. We are going to look so stylin in our little matching outfits. I'm kinda nervous about hosting, but its all good. By the way, I talked to Lance a few hours ago. He says you and that baby-sitter girl have been hanging out a lot. You aren't cheating on me are you babe? Nah, I know you wouldn't do that to me. OK, so I've used up all your time on this thing. Call me when you get in. Love ya, J. Ohh one more thing. I'm going to do the half-time show with yall. Ain't that AWESOME? OK, bye babe."

Justin stared at the answering machine. He felt so guilty. But he couldn't help his actions. It was like it was someone else the whole time. Then again, whenever he was with Lexia. He just felt....right.

"Hey Justin. Yeah, umm, what are you doing tomorrow? Mom told me to call and see if you wanted to come over. Lexy is coming over after she drops her brother off at the airport. But she has to leave at I think, hold on... MOOOOOMMMMM....." Justin laughed as he could hear all of Jonathan's and his mother's conversation through the phone. "...OK, at 4:30 she has to go somewhere. So, mom wants you to come over. OK? It will be guy's night. YEAH!! Umm, well, call me back I guess. I love you!!!"

Justin smiled at his brother's voice. It always made him feel special when he was around his brother. HE sighed running a hand through his hair, as he remembered how utterly jealous he had felt about Lexia's and Jon's relationship. He had long gotten over it, but for about a week he was on the verge of hating her and now, here he was, forcing himself not to fall in love with her.

"Dammit..." Justin sighed and picked up the phone. He dialed her number, which he had somehow memorized. He felt like a middle schooler. Memorizing your favorite crushes number even though you never had the guts to call them. He didn't even realize the phone was ringing and jumped when a male voice answered.

"Hello."

Justin's breath quickened. "Hey, uhh Scott can I talk to Lexia?"

"She's in the shower. This is Justin right?"

"Uhh, yeah. Just have her call me when she gets out." He said quickly.

"No that's OK. She shouldn't be much longer, why don't you and I have a little chat?"

Justin gulped. For some reason Scott intimidated him. Justin was taller and probably stronger, but Scott had this way of making him feel like a baby, and guilty. Justin always felt guilty around Scott. And he couldn't help but be glad he was flying back to Alaska the next day.

"Soo, Justin Timberlake. Do you mind if I'm blunt?" Scott said with an almost amused voice.

Justin walked into his living room and plopped down on the couch, slinging an arm across his eyes. "Scott, what do you want?"

"There is no need for attitude Mr. Popstar. I'm simply just wondering how far along you are going to LEAD my sister. I don't appreciate you flirting with her and being all mushy when you HAVE a girlfriend already."

Justin groaned. He was so tempted to hang up at this very instant. "Scott, you don't know-"

"Justin, please, let me finish." Scott voice was more urgent and not as stern and Justin sighed. "I like you Justin. I do. You are a nice, good, fun guy. You are EXACTLY the type of guy I want my sister to have. You make her happy. This past week she has been giddy and well, the other day she was SKIPPING down the isles of the grocery store. I've NEVER seen my sister skip in my life. But you also confuse her, greatly. And when Alex gets confused she thinks. And when she thinks, all hell breaks lose. I don't even think you could try to get into her head because she's got so much stuff in there that its just..." Scott stopped his thoughts and got to the point. "What I'm trying to say is don't play her Justin. DONT. If you like her or whatever, fine, great. But I don't want her to be a back up and I don't want her to be someone just to keep you company when little Miss Spears is out of town. Yes Justin, I'm asking, no I'm TELLING you that you have to decide between the two. I can't stand to see my sister's emotions range from cloud 9 to the depths of Hades in a matter of seconds. That's not healthy. If she becomes Bi-polar you are paying for her medicine!" Justin couldn't help but giggle.

"Scott, honestly, I don't know WHAT the hell I'm doing. I thought my world was perfect and so, I don't know, set? And then walks in Lexia, and I haven't been able to get my world back in its order. She's cluttered and scattered all my thoughts. I can't stop thinking about your sister and it scares me. It really terrifies me that I can know someone for a month and they have already changed the way I act, think, everything!" Justin was now pacing the hard wood floor of his living room.

Scott giggled. "Well, I didn't need to know all that. But its a little comforting to know you aren't just trying to get a good lay out of Lex or something. I'm actually relieved to know you are as confused as her."

Justin sat down on his couch. "If not more so."

"So, anyway, I think she said we have to be there at like 7 or something. I don't know. She hasn't told me much about what we are doing tonight. You?"

"Not a damn thing."

"Well....what? No. Hold on...." Justin listened as he heard two people fighting for the phone. He smiled when he heard a loud groan and a door slam a few minutes later.

"Sorry about that. He wasn't, bothering you was he?" Alex spoke in the phone cautiously.

"Nah, just some man to man chat."

Alex giggled. "You are calling yourself a man. You are calling SCOTT a man? Oh lordy..."

"Oh pulease, Lexia. I'm all man. And you KNOW it." Justin said seductively into the phone.

"Umm, this isn't digital get down Justin. Sorry." She giggled and pulled the towel tighter around her body and sat down on her bed. She tucked the phone in-between her shoulder and ear as she let the towel around her ebony hair fall down. She wasn't very graceful and dropped the phone.

"Oh god!" She reached down at the floor and picked it up. "Sorry about that."

Justin chuckled. "What happened?"

"Ohh, I was trying to take my hair out of my towel. I wasn't successful with the phone."

"So, uhh, you are in a towel right now?" Justin asked quietly.

"Uhh, yeah, I just got out of the shower." She said not realizing what he was picturing in his mind.

Justin bit his bottom lip and sighed. "Hey let me put on some clothes OK?" Alex said.

"Sure." He squeaked. He heard her put the phone down and then heard some sort of material fall. He whimpered and fell back on his couch. "Think of grandma. Granny. Ohh granny, you aren't helping. She's naked right now, Lexia. Naked. OHHH NOOOOOO....help me."

"OK, sorry about that. So, uhh, do you think you can be ready by about 6:30 or so?"

Justin looked at his watch. "Sure. I'll be ready then."

"All right, well, me and Scott will be there at 6:30 to pick you up k?"

"I guess."

"All right, see ya in a bit."

"OK."

"Bye Justin."

"Bye babe."

They both hung up and Justin began to get off the couch and get ready as Alex stood up off her bed. They both fell back to their original seats and stared into space in shock.

"He just called me babe!"

"I just called her babe!"
