She's a songwriter from Chicago. He's a music producer living the life in LA. One performance at a club leads to their chance meeting. She immediately dislikes him, yet he's drawn to her. So what happens when they begin to understand one another?

Awesome update...and I'm glad to hear that there will hopefully be another one soon! I wanted to tell you that you have really grown as a writer through the course of this story. I've liked this story from chapter one, but each chapter gets better and better writing wise. Keep up the great work!

okay, now I'm depressed like JC! lol...You have a great way of pulling your reader's into your character's heads and letting them feel their emotions. :)
As far as suggestions...um...if JC wants her, he's going to have to fight for her. I want to say that he should fly to Chicago and prove that he's sorry. Or is he sorry? Maybe neither of them are really ready for this relationship and they need to give it a rest for a while? I'm going to be really pissed off if this is the case, but as an author I understand that you have to write and stay true to your characters, even if it's not what you want them to do!
I'm on the edge of my seat to find out what happens! Here's hoping you update soon...*crosses fingers*
I'll be honest, I wasn't really expecting the whole appenix thing. I though she was going to be pregnant and there was going to be something wrong with that....

Okay, they are just too cute! Although, I do have to point out a few things. I have had my appendix removed and it's not fun! You got the whole bathroom scene perfectly! You can't bend down for like a week or more and it sucks! lol...The only thing I had an issue with was the part where she laughed. You can't do that either without being in excrutiating pain those first couple days and him being almost on top of her with that kiss would have been painful too. And I think I ate only saltines for like three days...
All that aside...great chapter! I'm glad they've finally made up and I can't wait to see what happens next in their relationship. Keep up the great work :)
Okay, I knew somene would get me on this.. lol I DID do research on this and have had friends that have had it done and I swear I tried to keep it on the track of what was medically correct. I did write this chapter really early in the AM though so there may have been parts where I fell off the *correct* path but I guess when I wrote stuff, I tried to see in in my head as being perfectly easy and gentle in regards to them laying together, JC coming over her, etc. Sigh... lol I'll take the no laughing to heart for future appendectomy stories ;)

random-ness and drama are good, but these two need to get their issues worked out quickly! lol...I'm afraid if they don't they're not going to work and they're going to end up ending it all which would make me very upset.

okay, first of all I have to tell you: I got the update email for this chapter this morning and I was really excited. I printed the chapter off so I could bring it to work and read it (cuz I can't be on the interenet there. boo.) then as I was stuck on the freeway I realized I'd left the chapter sitting in my printer. lol...soooo...I had to wait till I got home to read this chapter! Arg!
lol...Now with that being said...omg. Sigh. Okay, poor rejected JC is too much to handle! lol...and I still haven't figured out Carly's issue (or should I say issues?? jk). Every chapter is like a roller coaster ride with these two! good grief!
What did this whole exchange mean?? :
JC closed his eyes for a second at the warm feel of her hand but quickly pulled away. "You just don't get it."
Her hand fell from his face. "Get what?"
He shook his head. "I'm not going to tell you Carly. I've always been the one with the short end of the stick. It's time you figure this one out on your own."
As much as they love each other and as "honest" as they've been with each other I don't think they've really gotten down to the bare bones yet....hmmm...or I could just be over thinking everything! lol :)
You know, I've realized the "drama" with these two is driving people insane and I'll say sorry if I've caused anyone to rip their hair out... lol I just don't want this to be a "typical" story where everyone assumes how everything is going to go.
As for the exchange, it's basically the beginning of JC trying to get through to her that he's always put her needs first and has always been there for her and she's not really taken the time to think about how he feels, what he's dealing with and the weight of her rejecting his proposal. The reference to "the short end of the stick" is just him kind of sulking, thinking that Carly doesn't really want to be with him and feeling like everything is going to pan out just as it did with his ex. Sorry for the confusion and thank you so much for reading and reviewing :) I promise, their is more to come!
