I really, really liked this chapter b/c I could sense JC's inner turmoil. It's like he wants someone to like him, yet he tries to convince himself it doesn't matter in the long run. I just wanna shake him and tell him he doesn't have to be alone all the time! lol Keep writing!

Loved the chapter, I'm sorry for you not having inspirations on this story, I think you are doing a terrific job, picturing this 'bad boy' that realizes he needs a friend, maybe you could just keep showing his progress socializing and how his relationship with Emily will progress. =D
