NEVER IN THESE PAST 6 YEARS THAT SHE KNOWN AND LOVED JUSTIN SHE EVEN TRIED TO IMAGINE WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE TO LIVE WITHOUT HIM, SHE DIDN'T EVEN DARE THINK ABOUT IT, IN HER PAST SO MANY PEOPLE LEFT HER, SO MANY THINGS WERE TAKEN AWAY FROM HER, SHE THOUGHT SHE FINALLY FOUND THE PERSON THAT WOULD NEVER LEAVE HER, THE ONE THING THAT WOULD NEVER BE TAKEN AWAY FROM HER, SHE WAS WRONG, LIFE WAS A BITCH AFTER ALL
Justin: mariam, say something baby talk to me
Mariam: how bad is it?
Justin: it's really bad mariam
Mariam: we can fight it right? We'll do whatever it takes justin

SHE CLOSED HER EYES TRYING TO DEAL WITH EVERYTHING THAT WAS GOING ON, SHE OPENED THEM AND THAT'S WHEN JUSTIN SAW HER PAIN
Mariam: how long do you have?
Justin: it doesn't matter right now
Mariam: yes it does
Justin: dr. nicoletti said that
Mariam: dr. nicoletti?
Justin: he is the doctor who did the tests on me, he is the one who called last night
Mariam: how long?
Justin: 3 weeks, 4 the most
THAT DID IT FOR MARIAM, SHE WAS TRYING HER BEST TO BE STRONG BUT UNFORTUNATELY SHE DIDN'T SUCCEED, SHE BROKE DOWN IN TEARS

DOMINICK AND NATALIA LEFT THE ROOM WITH BABY VERONICA TO GIVE JUSTIN AND MARIAM SOME PRIVACY
AFTER 3 HOURS JUSTIN AND MARIAM LEFT DJ AND NATALIA'S HOUSE
IT WAS 5 PM WHEN THEY FINALLY ARRIVED HOME
Mariam: I'm gonna go make dinner

JUSTIN WALKED TOWARDS HER TO TAKE HER HAND BUT MARIAM TOOK ONE STEP AWAY FROM HER HUSBAND
Justin: what's wrong
Mariam: nothing, I'm just hungry so I'm gonna go make dinner now
Justin: mariam I know this is hard but we need to
Mariam: are you hungry?
Justin: mariam stop, you haven't said anything since we left dominick's house, I know this is hard to deal with but we need to talk about this
Mariam: Justin I have never been through anything like this I don't know how to act

JUSTIN WENT STRAIGHT UPSTAIRS AND MARIAM HEARD THE BEDROOM DOOR CLOSE, THERE WAS TOO MANY QUESTIONS ON HER MIND, SHE NEEDED AN ANSWER TO ALL OF THEM, he is the one who did the tests on me, he is the one who called last night, AND WHO BETTER TO PROVIDE THEM THAN DR. NICOLETTI
SHE PICKED UP THE PHONE, PRESSED THE CALLER ID BUTTON AND SEARCHED THROUGH THE LIST OF NAMES AND NUMBERS
Operator: 411 how may I help you?
Mariam: hello I have a number and a name and I was wondering if I could get an address please?
Operator: sure may I have the name or the number?
Mariam: 352-788-0344
Operator: that's dr. nicoletti's clinic, I have the address here
Mariam: can I have a second to find pen and paper?
Operator: no problem
Mariam: thank you
SHE LEFT THE HOUSE WITHOUT LETTING JUSTIN KNOW, 30 MINUTES LATER SHE WAS AT THE CLINIC
Mariam: excuse me, hi, um is dr. nicoletti here?
Secretary: yes but he is with a patient right now
Mariam: it's ok I can wait
Secretary: do you have an appointment?
Mariam: no I don't but I can still wait
Secretary: I'm sorry but if you don't have an appointment I'm afraid dr. nicoletti is not going to be able to see you
Mariam: lady I already told you that I can wait
THE SECRETARY STOOP UP, WALKED AROUND THE DESK AND GAVE MARIAM NOT A VERY NICE AND FRIENDLY LOOK
Secretary: and I already told you that dr. nicoletti is not going to see you unless you have an appointment
Mariam: well too bad because I really need to talk to him about something extremely important so unless you don't want me to report your little attitude to the Board of Professionals Doctors downtown L.A you are going to let me seat here and wait for dr. nicoletti to be done with that or any other patient he has today
A SECOND LATER THE DOOR OF DR. NICOLETTI'S OFFICE OPENED AND AN OLDER WOMAN CAME OUT WHO GAVE THE DOCTOR A FRIENDLY HUG AND THEN LEFT
Mariam: dr. nicoletti?
Nicoletti: yes?
Mariam: hi, I'm Mrs. Timberlake and
Nicoletti: oh yes I knew you would come to talk to me, please come in
HE WENT INSIDE THE OFFICE AND LEFT THE DOOR SEMI OPEN FOR MARIAM TO GO IN
Nicoletti: please have a seat
Mariam: thank you, doctor I'm not here to listen to whatever Justin's condition is, I already know that, I'm here to know what I can do to stop the tumor
Nicoletti: there is nothing you or anybody can do, I explained to him that the tumor is in the advance stage

Mariam: do you doctor? Have anybody in your family died of cancer, does anybody close to you have a tumor
THE DOCTOR DIDN'T ANSWER INSTEAD HE JUST STARED AT THE PERSON IN FRONT OF HIM
Mariam: that's what I thought
Nicoletti: I know that it's hard but we can give him chemotherapy and hopefully that will keep him alive a few more days maybe a few more weeks
Mariam: that's not good enough for me!!!!!!!
AS SOON AS SHE SAID THAT SHE REGRETTED OPENING HER MOUTH
Mariam: I am so sorry doctor, it wasn't my intention to raise my voice at you, I just
Nicoletti: it's ok, believe me I understand
BEFORE SHE COULD PREVENT IT THE TEARS WERE SLOWING COMING DOWN HER FACE
Mariam: I'm sorry I made those comments about somebody in your family having a tumor or cancer and about you not understanding
Nicoletti: don't worry, I am so sorry about all of this, listen I'm going to help both of you in all I can, I'll do research and see if there are any new treatments available, we'll do whatever it takes
Mariam: oh you don't have to feel obligated to give us any special treatment doctor
Nicoletti: I know but I want to please let me help you guys, I promise I'll do my best to help him, how about you bring him on Monday afternoon to start the chemotherapy
MARIAM SMILED AND STOOD UP
Mariam: thank you doctor, we'll be here on monday
SHE OPENED THE DOOR AND WALKED OUT

WAS SHE BEING A HIPOCRITE? DID SHE NOT REMEMBER THE LITTLE DISAGREEMENT THEY'VE HAD EARLIER? MARIAM DID NOT WANT TO BE MEAN BUT THERE WAS NOTHING SHE HATED MORE THAN HIPOCRITE PEOPLE, SHE GOT CLOSER TO THE DESK AND SMILED AT THE WOMAN
Mariam: next time you should just do your real job, answer phone calls, now you have a good day!!!
HE WAS GOING TO LET HER KNOW HOW MAD HE WAS AT HER, HOW CAN SHE LEAVE THE HOUSE AND NOT LET HIM KNOW WHERE SHE WAS GOING? AND WHY IN THE WORLD WAS SHE NOT ANSWERING HER CELL PHONE? OH HE WAS GOING TO LET HER KNOW BIG TIME!
EVEN THOUGH SHE HAD THE DOCTOR'S PROMISE TO HELP JUSTIN SHE STILL FELT LIKE SHIT, SHE DROVE FOR WHAT SEEMS LIKE YEARS, THE LAST THING SHE WANTED TO DO WAS GO HOME AND FACE REALITY. IT WAS 9 PM WHEN HER CAR STOPPED IN FRONT OF BARRY'S MANSION, SHE NOTICED THE MAIN GATE WAS CLOSED SO SHE CALLED BARRY BUT HE WASN'T ANSWERING SHE DECIDED TO GET OUT OF THE CAR AND SEAT ON THE SIDEWALK, MINUTES LATER SHE FELT ONE DROP ON HER SHOULDER, THEN ANOTHER ON HER HEAD, PRETTY SOON IT STARTED TO RAIN BUT SHE MADE NO EFFORT TO GET INSIDE THE CAR
AN HOUR LATER BARRY STOPPED HIS CAR ON FRONT OF HERS
Barry: mariam? What are you doing here? And why aren't you inside the car? Come on get in my car, let's go inside the house
MINUTES LATER SHE WAS INSIDE THE MANSION DRINKING HOT CHOCOLATE AND HOLDING A BLANKET THAT BARRY GAVE HER
Barry: are you ok?
Mariam: I need a big favor from you
Barry: sure, anything but did you have to come at this time and wait out in the rain?
Mariam: I need to have some time off or at least work from home
Barry: mariam is there something wrong?
Mariam: Justin has, well he has a tumor
Barry: oh god, but with treatments that will go away right?
Mariam: no, there is nothing we can do, the chemo will only buy him a couple more days or even weeks if we get lucky
BARRY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY, IT WAS HARD TO BELIEVE THAT SOMEBODY SO YOUNG COULD DIE JUST LIKE THAT
Mariam: look I really don't want to get into it right now so please don't ask questions, we'll talk about it later just not now
BARRY STAYED QUIET, HE SAW AND UNDERSTOOD HER PAIN
Barry: whatever you say beautiful, take the time off, me and Ana can work on the promotions and if you need anything just ask
MARIAM GAVE HER BOSS AND FRIEND A HUG
Mariam: thank you Barry, I'm going to go home now

IT WAS A LITTLE AFTER 11 WHEN MARIAM GOT HOME, SHE OPENED THE DOOR TO FIND A FURIOUS JUSTIN WAITING
Justin: where the fuck have you been?
Mariam: excuse me?
Justin: you do not leave this house again without telling me where you are going, got that????????????
Mariam: what!!??!!??! So now you want to become the over protective husband??????? What's next? Locking me inside the bedroom or beating the hell out of me if you see me talking to a guy?????????????
Justin: don't get fucking sarcastic with me, you know is not about that
JUSTIN TOOK ONE STEP CLOSER AND GENTLY TOOK HER BY HER SHOULDERS
Justin: is about the fact that the last thing you said before you left was let me take it all in, let me deal with it in my own way and then you leave and don't call for hours and on top of that you don't answer your cell phone and to make it even worse you nobody knows where you are!!!!! what am I supposed to think??!!??!!

JUSTIN DIDN'T WAIT FOR HER TO GIVE HIM AN EXPLANATION HE JUST KISSED HER AND KEPT TALKING TO HER BETWEEN KISSES
