Chapter 14
“Ariiii??” JC called from the bed of their hotel room. He was completely exhausted but he knew he wouldn’t get any sleep until Arianna was with him.
“I’m coming baby” She called from the bathroom. She was in desperate need to shower since they got back and she had done so quickly knowing her husbands sleepy state. She shut off the light to the bathroom and small hallway before she walked quickly to their bed. Crawling in next to him his arms encircled her stomach and she placed her hands over his. Kissing her shoulder JC smiled finally content.
“ I love you….” She said turned towards him. With one eye peaking open he smiled leaning over to capture her lips with his. He couldn’t help but feel his entire body tingle and his heart swell with her words. No matter how much he heard it, and no matter how many times he could tell her him self, it was something he couldn’t help but feel like no words could actually explain. Only she could understand how deep his feeling went for her, simply because she was the same way. Hence reason number one why he married her.
“ I love you so much baby…” He said kissing her again.
“Good, now sleep!” He laughed as he thought to him self ‘reason number 2’. Silence fell over the room and JC’s entire body relaxed as he finally gave into much needed slumber.

“ARIANNA! I need to talk to you!” Meredith yelled as she pounded on Arianna and JC’s door for the 2nd time. Arianna opened her eyes and groaned turning her body towards JC trying to ignore the obnoxious sound. After a few more minuets when the knocking had stopped Arianna smiled and cuddled closer to her husband. No more than 5 seconds after her name was being shouted through the door. She huffed and carefully slid out of the bed laughing when JC turned onto his stomach hugging her pillow. She threw open he door and flipped the 2nd lock out so the door wouldn’t shut on her.
“WHAT!” She hissed pushing her hair behind her ear.
“ I’m sorry Ari…but I have no where else to go!” Meredith said tear flowing freely down her face. Arianna’s featured immediately softened and she pulled Meredith into a comforting hug.
“What happened?” Arianna asked rubbing her friends back. She felt Meredith let out a sob and Arianna pulled away. She held a finger to her lips and slipped back into her room. She slipped on her flip flops and grabbed JC’s sweat shirt before placing the room key on the front pocket. She quickly walked over to JC and leaned over kissing his forehead. He stirred slightly and she pushed the hair from his face as he turned to face her.
“What’s the matter mama?” JC said starting to sit up.
“ No, no baby, it’s Meredith…I’ve never see her like this before, she’s really upset” Arianna said. JC relaxed and sat down before answering her.
“Well tell her to come in and you two can talk it out…” JC said slightly irritated. He felt like one night couldn‘t go by where Meredith didn‘t end up knocking at their door.
“I figured the two of us would just go downstairs and talk, I’ll be back in a little bit” Arianna said. JC’s eyes both popped open, he didn’t like the idea of the two of them going down by themselves.
“ Honey, I don’t want the two of you down there alone at this time..” JC said as he sat up and turned on the light.
“Baby, you need sleep…” Arianna said looking at her tired husband.
“ Well I sure as hell won’t get any with you down there and me up here, so just tell Meredith to come in, I’m calling Justin.” JC said reaching for the phone. Arianna would normally protest but she was just as tired about this as JC was. She walked to the door opening it to a timid Meredith. She pulled her inside and Meredith slowly walked into the room. Seeing JC in his PJ’s was something she had grown used to, and that thought alone made her upset. She sat down on the edge of their bed as Arianna sat next to her. No one said anything for a few minuets and Meredith couldn’t take it any more.
“So…” Meredith said. But JC held up a hand to silence her.
“Ah-ah, not until he gets here, you two are going to talk this out whether you like it or not!” Meredith’s eyes grew wide and before she could protest a knock was heard at the door. She gave Arianna a nervous glance and all Arianna offered her was a smile.
“ Hey Jace what’s going on…..oh….” Justin said as he entered the room. His heart leapt to his throat as he looked at Meredith. She looked completely distraught and upset. He felt bad, but he was upset too, why couldn’t she trust him?
“ Have a seat, get comfy…” JC said ushering Justin to the bed. Justin said on the egde opposite of Meredith and the two looked up at JC like he was their parent getting ready to scold them.
“ Look I love you both very much, but I swear to god if I loose one more night of sleep to the repetitive issues you two refuse to talk about, I WILL kill you both.” JC spat out as he paced the floor in front of them. Arianna tried to suppress a giggle as she listened to her husband.
“ Mrs. Chasez I hardly find this amusing…”JC said pointing a finger at her.
“Well your obviously sitting in the wrong seat then…”She said winking at him. She stood from the bed and took each of their hands in her own as she sat between them.
“You two are my closest friends, and I hate to see you this upset. You two have come along way, and I was under the impression we weren’t going to have these late night chats anymore. I swear if by the time this baby pops out you two are still fighting…I’m taking away your allowance!” Arianna said causing the both of them to laugh. She took their hands and brought them together and stood from the bed.
“Josh and I are going to go in the other room, and you two are going to talk.” Arianna instructed them as she took JC’s hand and walked into the other room with him. Justin and Meredith stayed quiet as they kept their hands clasped in-between them.
“Meredith, I know your upset about this-”
“ I was embarrassed by it okay?” She said interrupting him.
“By what honey?” He asked holding her hands to him. She let out a sigh before turning towards him. She knew she had to tell him before the situation got out of hand. Arianna and JC were right, they needed to get over this before it’s too late.
“Remember when I first met you? When we did the interview? Well, I kind of developed a crush on you, and from then on things got a little out of hand…” Justin nodded starring at her waiting for her to drop a bomb on him.
“And I …I lied to you a few times when we talked. I was jealous of Britney because I wanted to be with you. I made then entire story up about a boyfriend, and I didn’t quite J-14 I was fired because of Bobbie….I’m sorry I lied but I was, and still AM so embarrassed by what I did.” Meredith said letting it all out in one breath. Justin starred at her blankly unable to believe what she had just said.
“Justin?” She asked after a few minuets of torturous silence.
“That’s it? That’s what you couldn’t tell me?” He asked. He was more upset now so then before. How could she think so little of him? Why would he care about such insignificant things as an old job?
“Justin! I lied to you!” She said. He huffed and crossed her arms.
“Mere you think I didn’t know that you had feelings for me? It was kind of hard not to notice!” He said. Meredith’s eyebrows narrowed at him and she felt her cheeks flush.
“What!? I was embarrassed, and what do you mean you knew!? God, so you just flaunted your relationship with Britney in my face, KNOWING I had feelings for you! Your a real class act Timberlake!” Meredith said as she rose from the bed furious. Justin stayed silent letting everything she was saying sink in.
“Meredith, that’s not what I meant at all! I don’t understand how you couldn’t tell me something like that….What the hell are we going to do if something major ever happened? Would you be to EMBARRASSED to tell me!?” Justin said angrily. Meredith had heard enough, not only was he down sizing her feelings but now he was mocking her too.
“Screw you Timberlake…”She spat out as she walked to hotel room door swinging it open to leave. Upon hearing the door shut and a loud crash JC and Arianna came running into the room. Seeing the lamp tossed onto the floor in very tiny pieces was enough to know what had happened. Arianna looked at JC with pleading eyes and he nodded knowing she wanted to go after Meredith o see if she was all right. JC walked over to Justin and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. The two didn’t say anything and JC simply sat next to him for a while before getting up and calling room service.

Meredith had walked all the way down the beach and back before she ran into a frantic Arianna. Guess her mommy gene was already kicking in. Meredith walked over to her assuming she was here to yell at her but she didn’t. She pulled Meredith into a hug and smiled when she pulled away.
“Want to talk?” Arianna asked linking their arms as they walked along the beach in the opposite direction that Meredith walked last time.
“Yea….”Meredith said. She heard a slight ruffling sound and turned to look behind her only to see the bushes moving from the wind. She laughed at her self knowing she was just on edge from her fight with Justin. The two made their way along the beach chatting about Justin and their fight, completely unaware of the figures following them.
