The phone rang and as usual, Lissa wasn't jumping to get it. And with reason… no one really called her.
"Hello?" I answered it.
"Hey," a deep voice sounded. It was Lance!
"Hey, Lance! What's up?"
"Well, today's my birthday--"
"Happy birthday!" I cut him off.
"Thanks." He said. "Anyway, I'm having a party at Club Boom tonight, and I was wondering if you wanted me to put you on the guest list."
"Oh, for sure!" I told him. "I never miss a good party."
"What's your last name?"
"Gonzales."
"Okay, see you there."
I certainly would.
