If the doctor hadn't threatened to kick him out if he didn't chill
out he would've still been acting like a fool. No one was giving him
any clue about what was going on with Kristina. Last time he was at
the door was when he heard her flat line. He just couldn't get that
sound out of his head. There sitting in the hospital waiting room he
felt as if his whole life was just being ripped away. Meanwhile
something so precious, his daughter lay sleep in the room with the
other babies.
"We came as soon as we could" J.C., Dez, Ash, Krystal and Lance came
rushing into the hospital. They were all in Las Vegas when he called.
Chris and Joey were back in Florida at the time. You could see the
hurt and pain all in Justin's face. Each friend embraced him in his
time of worry hoping that it would do some good.
"So um…….did she have the baby?" J.C. asked.
"Yeah, it was a girl."
"AW!" the girls gushed.
"You wanna see her?"
"Yeah." The group got up and walked over to the clear window.
"There she goes over on the right."
"Aw!"
"Did you guys name her?"
"Um, she passed out just as she came out." The whole room grew
silent. Though he was happy to see his little girl the thought of
Kristina crept back into his mind. Justin let out a tear which he
would normal be embarrassed about but at the moment he could careless.
"J, she's gonna be alright." Justin couldn't say one word, just nod
yes.
"Mr. Timberlake, may I have a word with you please?" Justin walked
with the doctor around the corner.
"How's Kristina?" Justin's face was now drenched with tears. He knew
he was going to say it, Kristina was dead. "Please don't tell me
she's dead--"
"Kristina did pass away in the O.R.--" Justin almost collapsed. The
doctor had to help him over to the seats. "But it was only for a
minimum of 3 minutes. Her body just didn't know what to do. She had
loss more blood than one normally would during childbirth and her
body just crashed."
"Is she ok? Where is she now?"
"She's in her room, we were fortunate to get in contact with her
father who was in the area. He's given her a blood donation and she's
recouping from everything. I can take you to her but treat her like
crystal. She's very fragile right now."
"I will, I will." Justin followed the doctor to Kristina's room. She
looked as pale as a ghost. Why was this happening again? She was
already in the hospital from the accident half there now she was in
here again clinging to life. As Justin approached the room there sat
a man next to her bed. Just looking at him was looking at Kristina.
It was her father. She looked just like her father. The dark
red/brown hair, the freckles, his nose, his full lips they could be
twins. Slowly the man stood up and looked at Justin. Justin wasn't
sure if he wanted to knock him out for causing Kristina pain or give
him a hug for keeping her alive.
"So you're the man my little girl married."
"And you're her father."
"That I am." They sort of just stood there for a moment and looked at
each other. Neither really knew what to say. The stare down came to
its end when Kristina called out.
"Ju-Justin?" she could barely make a sound. Kristina's father eased
his way out undetected by his daughter.
"I'm here babe, I'm here." Justin rushed to her side and gently held
her in his arms. "I'm so glad you're up. When I heard you flat line I
thought my world was coming to an end. I swear I'd kill myself if
something happened to you."
"Justin don't talk like that."
"I would just hand me to bottle of pills right now. Without you I'm
nothing, I can't live without you. I love you so much."
"I love you too. I wanna see her, I wanna see our baby."
"Ok, ok." Justin ran out and got a nurse to get their little baby.
"Now don't overexert yourself ok?"
"I won't." Nurse Coleman passed the small baby over to
Kristina. "Hello baby" she giggled. "Oh she's so precious."
"That she is, she's so beautiful. Just like her mama." Kristina
looked over to Justin and smiled. "Um I know this might be a little
sudden but we don't have a name for her yet." Kristina looked down at
the little pinkish baby in her arms.
"Justina Randie Timberlake." It just rolled off her tongue and
sounded beautiful. It was a combination of both their names. Kristina
& Justin for her first name, Randall & Marie for the middle.
"Justina and Kristina, my girls."

"I love that girl to death but if I don't get any sleep I will find
some chloroform and give it to me hard." Justin couldn't help but
laugh. A newborn was something else. She was up practically every 2
hours and poor Kristina got up every time not wanting to bother him.
"Look I'll get her."
"Are you sure, I can do it." Kristina slid out of the bed and walked
to Justina's room. Gently she picked her up and held her. "Baby,
baby, baby, you've got to give us some sleep." Kristina gave Justina
her nipple to feed her.
"Lucky baby" Justin groaned.
"Shut up." Hopefully all that breastfeeding would help her loose some
of the weight she gained. Urban myth or not, it would definitely help
with the extra thighs she was sporting.
"Look after she's done, I'll take her. Go back to bed."
"You sure?"
"The ever dutiful mother, GO TO BED!"
"Ok, ok." After Justina finished up, Kristina passed her over to her
daddy. "Ugh why is it so cold in here? I know its warm in California
but jeez." Kristina lower the AC down and laid back down. As soon as
she left out, Justina fell right back to sleep.
"Goodnight sweetness" he said kissing her on the forehead. Was it
just him or had it gotten hotter in the house? The past few weeks had
been torture for him. Since Justina's birth a few weeks ago he had to
lay off the drugs so he would be on his A game around his child but
it was getting harder and harder and he needed a fix. He was getting
the shakes and was sweating all the time. Whenever Kristina would ask
him what was up, he'd just chalk it up to being downstairs in the gym
or the heat. He didn't mean to divvy in the world of drugs, his
mother taught him better than that. But ever since he started it was
like he couldn't stop. He'd get help, sooner or later. Justin walked
back into the bedroom and laid down. He tossed and turned.
"Justin babe what's wrong?" Kristina turned around to face Justin.
When she looked at him she jumped straight up. "Oh my gosh, J wake
up."
"What's wrong baby?"
"Your nose is bleeding."
"Huh?" Justin felt for his nose, he was indeed bleeding. "@#%$."
"Here let me take care of it."
"Nah I'm fine I can handle it."
"Justin--"
"I SAID I CAN HANDLE IT!" Justin jumped up from the bed and walked to
the bathroom. He didn't mean to snap at her but his paranoia kicked
in. What if she figured it out, what if she figured out that he was
snorting crack?
*******************
"So are you guys doing something important?"
"I don't know J.C. has some kind of surprise, I'm not sure what."
"What about you and Lance?"
"We're going to a go to some Italian restaurant, what about you?"
"Just a quiet night at home. Ryan knows this nanny that can take
Justina for the night so its just gonna be the two of us. I'm gonna
make his favorite and all that other good stuff."
"AW!" Krystal, Dez and Kristina chatted away about what they were
going to do for that special day, Valentine's. Each girl had
something special planned for their guys that night and couldn't
wait, especially Kristina and Krystal. It'd be their first
Valentine's with people that they loved. Justin was her husband,
though acting a little weird, loved her and Lance loved Krystal like
Winnie loved Honey. Tonight would be extra special. At the moment
they were at the mall picking out dresses for the night. After having
fun with the girls, Kristina made her way back home. To a cold home.
"Gawd Justin, its freezing in here" she said to herself. Kristina
walked over to the AC to turn it down when a hand stopped her.
"Don't turn it down, its burning up in here."
"Justin, it feels like I'm back in Detroit down at the waterfront
where it's the coldest."
"Well I'm hot so leave it."
"Justin--" She noted the sweat beads that filled his forehead and
covered his body. "Justin is everything ok?"
"Yeah, yeah everything is fine."
"You sure?"
"YES! Gawd why is everyone worried about me?"
"Ok, ok, forget that I asked." Justin hung his head in frustration.
He didn't mean to snap at her but things were getting bad. He needed
help, this whole drug thing was getting worst and worst. He couldn't
even think straight. What kind of husband would be to his wonderful
wife? What kind of father would he be to his beautiful daughter? That
morning had went so well. He woke up, surprised Kristina with a room
full of her favorite flowers, sunflowers, sung to her and gave her
this imported Japanese facial care that he overheard her and Ryan
talk about (That man and his up keep could be frightening sometimes).
She was touched and surprised. She even threw in a surprise herself,
giving him this huge diamond ring with JRT in the middle. And now
here he was jumping down her throat. He needed a fix or tonight
wouldn't happen.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry" Justin came behind Kristina and wrapped his
arms around her waist.
"Its ok."
"No its not ok, look I'm gonna go out for a few. Go get my mind
right, meet you back here?"
"Yup, don't be late ok?"
"Oh I promise I won't. You know I gotta wear you out tonight girl!"
"Everything St. Valentine envisioned" she said sarcastically.
"Yup" Justin walked over to Kristina and pecked her on the
cheek. "See ya in a little bit."
"See ya."
