I got this idea actually from a friend of mind who sent her boyfriend on a little hunt on his 24th birthday.  It wasn't a milestone, and obviously when you hit those milestones, everyone pays extra attention (13, 16, 18, 21, 25, 30 and so on) - why not pay that extra attention to every other birthday?  Why not show that same love to that person on a day that could be just like any other, but isn't?

This is a three part story - three chapters and that is it.  I'll be posting them up until August 8th (which the ending will be posted then) - kind of like a little birthday gift to all of you (or gag, take your pick :])
