Author's Chapter Notes:
I know, I know. Its been a really long time since I last update. A lot of stuff's been happening, still happening and it just took me awhile to get this chapter done. I hoping I can keep some sort of schedule with this story. I have no plans to stop writing Spoiled until it is finished. Its just might take some time. Bare with me LoL.

So without further ado, the next chapy for you all to enjoy. Feedback is always loved and appreciated!

“Hey guys, I just finished the schedules for the next month. Jade, Marissa’s not on shift at the clinic on the 25th so she said she can cover MOD for you.” Kiki said as she approached the front desk where Jade and Inna were standing.

Neither responded to her. They were both facing the big flat screen in the lounge, somewhat in a daze.

“Um guys? What’s going on?” She came around the bend that the desk lined to see what had them so captivated and saw that a short news update from Showbiz Tonight was on.

“This just in: surrounding some recent rumors of an engagement and others of a spilt, statements from Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz have announced that the couple have in fact broken up! No specifics on the reason for the split, just these words from the Hollywood stars:

No matter how much love and respect there is between myself and Justin, our relationship has run its course. We still consider each other great friends and will always care for one another.

Cameron Diaz

Our lives have gone in different directions and we both felt it was best to go our separate ways now, on good terms. Cameron is a great woman who I was fortunate to have in my life and I wish the best for her. For both of us.

Justin Timberlake

“Wow surprising news there Brooke. I thought they’d be one of those Hollywood couples that pulled through.” AJ Hammer commented.

“I know. I did too. They were together for almost 3 years and they were so cute together.” Brooke gushed regrettably. “But even the best relationships don’t always last. I hope everything works out for them both.”

“Same here.” AJ responded. “Well that’s it until tonight at 11 when me and Brooke will be back to give you even more of the latest celebrity news and gossip. Make sure you tune in.”

As the channel went to commercial, Inna and Jade both turned towards Kiki in unison and gawked at her in question. She was an insider for this tidbit of celeb gossip. She had to know something or she had something to do with it, Jade thought. She had a sixth sense about drama and it had been tapped into a long time ago where Kiki and Justin were concerned. They were always a little too chummy when he’d waltz in the club to pick her up for lunch or just to visit. And considering their past it wasn’t such a leap of faith to believe they could have been messing around again. Only time would tell what was going on there.

“Kiki. Hey Kiki, are you okay?” Inna spoke when she saw the daze her boss was in.

Kiki could barely make out what Inna was saying. She was too busy thinking - Oh my God, he did it. He really did it - over and over again. At a lost for words, she could only respond with a nod when Jade asked her if she was okay. She just couldn’t believe what was happening even if she heard and saw it with her own ears and eyes. She had recently resigned the possibility of her and Justin to just a dream, a fantasy that would never come true.

With her resignation came her freedom from all the drama and stress of fighting to make their relationship work. Now the impossible dream was possible again and she wasn’t sure if she had enough energy to try with him after all that had happened. Then again, she might not have to worry about reconciliation after their fight.

They had been unnecessarily nasty to one another and considering the lack of communication and contact coming from both of them lately, there was obviously still a lot of anger and resentment between them. They both had gone as far as resorting to use Lynn as a pick up/drop off for Cheyenne. Kiki had never screened her caller ID so much in her life and every time Justin’s name popped up, it was Cheyenne’s job to answer it. The same happened on Justin’s end.

The biggest obstacle between them at one time may be gone now, but problems that involved only the two of them still needed to be solved. But after the mess they created for themselves, was there any point in trying anymore?

Kiki finally came back to the present and after playing dumb about Justin and Cameron, she assured the girls that she was fine with it all. “Why should I even care? It’s their business. I have no idea what goes on in their relationship.” Both girls shrugged, letting it go and Kiki used the chance to escape. “Now here are the schedules. Can you put one in everyone’s mail? I gotta do the fitness schedules so call my office if you need me.” She handed over the pile of papers and quickly made her way into hiding.

Unfortunately that didn’t last long. Her office phone soon started ringing and of course it had nothing to do with work.

“I cannot believe it. He actually pulled his head out of his ass and left her.” Tami exclaimed over the line.

“I know.” Kiki responded numbly, trying not to think about it. All she wanted to do was finish scheduling the next month’s worth of workshops and auditions in the studio spaces they rented out to the public and then go home. She would be safe there where taking care of and entertaining Cheyenne could distract her for the rest of the night.

Tami could sense that she was going for avoidance with the news and it worried her. “Are you okay?”

“I’m fine.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah. It’s not my business Tam.”

“So you’re not going to do anything?”

“Like what exactly? Go run into Justin’s arms crying ‘finally’? It’s too late for happy ending.” She replied sadly.

“How do you know? You didn’t tell me they had broken up which you would have if you knew so I’m guessing you were just as surprised by the news.”

“Your point?”

“That you haven’t talked to him so you have no idea what could happen between the two of you now.”

Kiki groaned silently. She really hated when Tami made sense. There was no telling what was going on in Justin’s head or what his decision meant for them. Was the break up his way of saying that he still wanted them to try despite how ugly things had grown between them? It was possible, but the problem was that Kiki was finding it hard to care if he still believed in them. She was scared to hope anymore.

And then there was her stubborn pride that wouldn’t let her pick up the phone to find out where they stood. She knew she was just as much to blame for the state of their relationship was in “ she willingly fell into bed with him each and every time knowing he wasn’t making an honest effort to end his relationship with Cameron. The childish brat inside of her whined that all this was more his fault than hers so he should be the one to give in first. If she did, it would be like letting him off the hook and she’d be damned if she allowed that.

After ho-humming Tami’s advice, having no plans to follow through, Kiki finished her work for the day, collected Cheyenne from daycare and went about the rest of her day.

Unfortunately her day of running errands and having lunch with Cheyenne didn’t go without thoughts of Justin. She kept on wondering what his motives were behind the break up “ was it really even his decision? What if Cameron found out about them and called it quits? Should she just suck it up and find out for herself?

They were nagging questions that she kept putting off, but come nightfall, all the errands and housework was done, Cheyenne had her dinner and was settling down for bed. Kiki had nothing to do to hold off her incessant thoughts and eventually she just had to know. She convinced herself that it was just a basic search for information “ it was not giving in to Justin or false hope of reconciliation.

“You just want to know what’s going on. Call it being nosey. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be informed.” She reasoned and before she lost her nerve, she picked up the phone and dialed.

“Hey baby girl. What’s up?” Justin answered, sounding rather jovial about who he thought was calling.

Watch how fast that changes. “Um sorry. It’s not Cheyenne. It’s me. Kiki.” No shit Sherlock. She wanted to slap herself for sounding so dumb.

“Oh…Hey what’s up? Is something wrong?”

“No, no. Everything’s fine. It’s just….” She paused, not knowing how to word this without sounding desperate, needy, or too nosey. Maybe this is where the pride swallowing starts. “Are you busy right now?”

“No. Why?”

“Um…Canyoucomeover?” She blurted out all at once, terrified that he’d say no. To her surprise, he easily agreed to stop by.

The thing was that Justin had been waiting for her call. He knew or at least he hoped as soon as the news broke she would reach out to him. That was the reason he called things off with Cameron, the first step to proving that he was ready to commit to Kiki and their relationship. Frankly, taking into account the things he said during their argument and the way he’d been treating her for the past months, he wouldn’t have been surprised if she never wanted to speak with him again. He had fucked things up really bad. They both did, but there was no denying he’d done the brunt of the damage. Kiki’s actions were results of his that just compounded the situation and their argument was the inevitable explosion of it all. Now among the wreckage did they rebuild or was it useless?

Without a doubt Justin wanted to try, to really try, to put them back together. Kiki was his dream girl. Everything he ever wanted and he couldn’t lose her. Not again. She had no reason to give him another chance, but he desperately wanted one. He’d veritably seen the light after some serious thought about the things, the painfully, yet truthful things she’d said about him. At first he was pissed at her for putting him on the spot like that, but then he realized it was because she had pinned him absolutely right and it was hard to face his flaws. But if he didn’t get over himself, he’d lose her for good and who knows what else down the road.

Over the past weeks he used his free time to really think about the person he was and the things he did. He realized that it was beyond time for him to grown up, get over himself, and learn how to appreciate what he was fortunate enough to have in his life. His relationship with Kiki was top on his remodeling list, but it would take time, time he was more than willing to take. He figured after the news dropped, he’d wait until she was ready to come and talk with him about where they were headed now. He wasn’t going to pressure her, she had every right to want to stay away from him, but he didn’t want to make it seem like he had given up either. That was the last thing he’d ever do so he was planning on giving her a few days before he got in contact with her.

Only in his dreams did he imagine she would be the one to make the first move and make it so quickly. He wasn’t going to complain though. As long as they were communicating again and the faster they got back together the better. At least he hoped as he drove to her house in the middle of the night, that her call meant they were finally going to be together the way they should have years ago.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Sitting on the couch in her den, Kiki gently ran her fingers through Cheyenne’s hair as she slept with her head on her lap and stared aimlessly at some show playing on the TV. She was a nervous wreck knowing any minute the doorbell would be ringing and who’d be on the other side. What would he say when she opened the door? What the hell would she say? She didn’t even know what she wanted from this face to face meeting. She could have interrogated him over the phone, but then she wouldn’t be able to be near him again or see his face.

Damn it, she missed him. He was an asshole and constantly pissed her off, but she still loved him the same. That would never change, even if they never found a resolution and went their separate ways.

That thought scared the shit out of Kiki and after gently moving Cheyenne’s head to a pillow, she bounded out of the den. She couldn’t sit still any longer, not with the worse possible outcome of this conversation rattling through her mind. Her anxiety was steady compounding as she tried to find something to occupy herself. Justin needed to hurry and get here so she could get some answers that would calm the sudden ache in her chest.

“Ugh.” Kiki growled while she finished racking the balls into the triangle on the center of the pool table.  She felt so confused, so trapped “ on one hand she was afraid to put herself back out there with Justin, but she was even more terrified to walk away and lose him for good.

Her racing mind was just about to drive her insane when the doorbell finally rang. She almost froze from nerve, but she kept it together and as calmly as possible, made her way over to the foyer. After checking the peephole, she opened the door to Justin.

“Hi.” She said shyly.

“Hey.” He answered and for what seemed like several minutes, they stood there staring, taking each other in.

Kiki broke out of their daze first and invited him inside. Now standing face to face in privacy of her living room they had the chance to hash it all out, but instead awkward silence had taken over. Neither knew who or where to begin, so they both went for it.

“Where’s Cheyenne?”

“Sorry I called so late.”

They both laughed uncomfortably, fidgeting as their nerves got the best of them.

“Sorry.” Justin hedged.

“No, its okay. Um, Cheyenne’s in the den sleeping.”

“Oh.” He responded, disappointed that he wouldn’t be able to spend a little time with her before her bedtime. Not to mention Cheyenne was always a buffer between him and Kiki whenever things got strained. The games were out the window now - no more ducking and dodging especially not behind Cheyenne. “That’s okay. I-“

“You can put her to bed if you want. I was just about to do it, but I know she’d like it if you did.”

Justin’s mood brightened and he nodded. “Yeah that’d be nice.”

“Okay.” Kiki smiled nervously. “I’ll go get her.”

As she climbed the stairs, Justin took his jacket off and hesitantly draped it over the back of the sofa chair. Standing there, he sighed thinking how weird he felt in Kiki’s apartment. He never felt uncomfortable here, he always felt like he was at home. Hell his coat and sneakers were usually kicked into the closet long by now. It was like he was a stranger here and he hated it.

“See I told you Daddy was here to tuck you in.”

Justin turned around to see Kiki coming down the steps with a drowsy Cheyenne on her hip and all that tension melted away.

“Hey baby girl.” He jovially greeted her and once Kiki landed, he met her half way, plucking Cheyenne out of her arms. She immediately curled up into his chest and he kissed her temple. “You ready for bed?” He asked, rubbing her back as she nodded. “Say night to Mommy then.” He shifted her towards Kiki who was standing to the side of them and they hugged and kissed.

“Dulces sueño baby. I love you.”

“Love you too.” Cheyenne murmured and quickly started drifting off again.

“I’ll be right back.” Justin said to Kiki. She nodded and he headed upstairs.

Alone again, Kiki exhaled deeply. As soon as Justin came back down those steps there would be nothing else to hold off their inevitable talk. Kiki felt her anxiety resurface so she kept herself preoccupied this time by straightening out the den now that Cheyenne was in bed. While she was folding up the throw blankets, she heard the baby monitor on the coffee table come to life.

“There you go kiddo. You’re all snug now, you can go back to sleep.”

“Nooo. You have to sing first Daddy.” Cheyenne requested through a big yawn.

Never one to deny her anything especially not their special bedtime ritual, Justin said, “alright,” and began with his favorite verse for Cheyenne.

Long as sunlight lights the sky

The light of love will be

Found in these eyes of mine

And I will shine that light for you

You're the only one

I'll ever give this heart to

What I'm trying to say is

Nothing will change this

There'll be no time you won't find me there

Cause I will always be there

You will always have all my love

When winter comes in summer

When there's no more forever

When lies become the truth

Well you know then, baby

That's when I'll stop loving

That's when I'll stop loving you

That's when I'll stop loving you

When this world doesn't turn anymore

When the stars all decide to stop shining

Till then I'm gonna be by your side

I'm gonna be loving you forever

Every day of my life - I’ll be there

Well you know then baby

That's when I'll stop loving

That's when I'll stop loving you

There was so much affection and love in Justin’s voice as he sang to their daughter that it made it impossible for Kiki to not believe that he was still capable of truly loving and being devoted to someone.

But Justin had that ugly side to him that, with the exception of Cheyenne, could lash out at anyone at any moment. It was a part of his personality that Kiki had caught on to quickly and accepted a long time ago, but only with the assumption that she was immune to it. She found out the hard way when they first dated that, that was not the case and here she was again being confronted with the ugly truth about the man she loved. He could be so sweet and charming one minute and a self centered jerk in the next. To be honest though, Kiki liked his bad side, it challenged the bossy, snotty, bitchy side of her and she loved a good argument with Justin. All that fiery passion sizzled between them then and it turned her on. She knew it did the same for him too. Now that she thought about it, their relationship was kind of twisted in that respect.

However, it was a whole other matter when his mean streak turned down right cruel. Kiki would not put up with that kind of disrespect and if Justin wanted her as the woman in his life then he would have to check that where she was concerned. That is, if Kiki stopped sending mixed signals and contradicting herself.

It was clear to her that, out of some insane attraction to the thrill of the drama they caused, she actually fueled Justin’s selfish tendencies by letting him get away with act out and manipulate their relationship. If anything, she’d been playing games right along with him with no true regard for the consequences of her actions. She knew what their sneaking around would lead to, but she ignored it for her own selfish need to be with Justin even if he was at another’s expense.

There needed to be a limit to their craziness “ there was nothing wrong with a little fun, teasing and cat and mouse games, but no more selfishness, disrespect, or inconsideration. Or third parties! Kiki was willing to start fresh with this in mind and if Justin could get a grasp on it, plus getting a handle on his nasty attitude then they really had something to work with this time around. Kiki hoped and prayed that when he came back downstairs he’d understand where she believed they went wrong and be willing to meet her halfway to fix them.

“She’s dead to the world.” Justin’s voice cut through her reverie as he walked into the den.

“I’m surprised she lasted that long.” Kiki lifted up the monitor signaling she heard everything.  “If only she knew how many people would die to have you serenade them like that and she had the nerve to fall asleep.” She playfully tsked and he chuckled.

The den grew quiet then, Kiki staring at the throw pillow in her lap while she picked at the fringed edges and Justin standing uncomfortably in the middle of the room. Both knew exactly what to say, but didn’t know how.

Justin made the first move, deciding he should be the one to start fixing what he broke the most. “So how have you been?” He began casually, but genuinely wanting to know how she had been.

“I’ve been fine. How about you? I know the release is coming up. I can only imagine how busy you’ve been.”

He nodded, shoving his hands in his pocket. “Yeah. Nothing I can’t handle.” He shrugged. “How’s the club?”

“Same ol’, same ol’.”

Again silence. Small talk was pretty useless when more important big talk was to be had. Time to just go for it.

“So I heard you went out with that Elli guy.”

Kiki smirked and gave him a sideways look, not the least bit surprised he was inquiring. Justin was and probably always would be such a jealous little boy deep inside so choosing to just put him out of his misery, she went ahead and rest him assured.

“Yeah I did and I had a good time.” She paused for effect, wanting to make him squirm a little. “Only because it was a double date though. If Tami and Joey hadn’t been there to carry the conversation I probably would have died of boredom.” She had to stifle a laugh when Justin’s whole demeanor was lit a glow at the news. He was so adorably sad sometimes.

“What happened?” He finally sat down on the opposite side of the couch, totally into what Kiki had to say next.

“He kept talking about himself. We had a lot in common, but he could care less about my opinion, it was all about him. He kept rambling about how he wanted to be a Senator one day and it got so irritating that I completely blocked him out. I didn’t even try to get a word in anymore. I just wanted to get the hell out of there.”

Justin chuckled at the pinched annoyed look she had on her face just from telling the story. “Sounds like you had fun.” She glared at him and he grinned. “I’m surprised you had a crappy date. I thought you liked ‘em cocky.” He implied deviously and she smacked him with the pillow, laughing.

“I stupidly like you when you being a conceited ass.” His shameless smirk proved correct her description of him, but when he saw the sobered look that took over her face, his fell as well. “But I hate when you turn mean and nasty Justin.”

He briefly bowed his head, sorrowfully nodding, before bringing his head back up to look her in the eyes. “What I said to you when we argued was fucked up and I am so sorry. I shouldn’t have attacked you like that, especially when you were right.”

“I was right? Justin I did my own dirt in this drama we created. I wasn’t some innocent, naïve bystander. I kept messing around with you even though you were still with Cameron. I should have just stayed away from you until your situation with her was dealt with. I played myself just as much as you played me.” She admitted.

“I should have stayed away too. I shouldn’t have-“ He paused, finding it hard to admit to what he did to the woman he loved. But this was time for complete honest and straight-forwardness. Manipulated you the way I did. I knew what I was doing. Like you said, I don’t like being alone.”

She had been spot on with that depiction of him and he lashed out because it was hard to have a spotlight shone on that kind of weakness. In the back of his mind it was something he always grappled with. He didn’t know why it was such a problem of his so he never did anything about it. Now it was hurting the one person he couldn’t be without. He really had to face it and get over this problem or he’d lose Kiki and be miserable for the rest of his life.

“I should have broken up with Cameron-“ He shrugged. “Hell, back in March, but I didn’t even though I started chasing after you. I knew it was a mistake and that you wouldn’t go there, but I had to try. When I realized I had a chance and went for it, I knew it wouldn’t last. I was still with her, obviously you wouldn’t accept that forever. I was afraid that if me and Cameron called it quits, I’d still manage to mess up what we had.”

Kiki was hanging on every word he said and when he made that confession, she realized that under all his suave, Casanova bravado, Justin was just as insecure and scared of rejection as everyone else.

“So Cameron was a safety net?”

“Pretty much. As long as she was around, if you left me, I’d still have someone.”

Baffled by his logic, Kiki said. “Justin do you know how-“

“Pathetic that is? Yeah I know and I’m not too proud of myself for hurting and using Cameron the way I did.”

“Did she figure you out too and confront you?”

“No she didn’t actually. She showed up in London to surprise me. She did what I should have “ just got on a plane and flew to see me. It was sweet of her and I knew it was messed up to dump her after she did that, but the lie couldn’t go on anymore. The way I was treating her was worse.”

Kiki was stunned. London? In London? You broke up with her when you were in London? That was like weeks ago. Before our argument.” Justin nodded silently, knowing what she was coming to realize. Kiki closed her eyes regrettably, miserably. “That’s what you came here to tell me.”

“Yeah.”

“Oh my God. All this time…..I totally attacked you and you were just trying to tell me that you finally broke up with her. What an idiot.” She admonished herself, in awe of her stupidity.

“No Kik. After everything I did, all the excuses and staling, I deserved to be cussed out like that.”

She huffed humorously and he grinned, challenging her to do the same. She eventually couldn’t control herself and with a smile came a giggle. This wasn’t funny, but they needed a little relief injected into this depressing and stressful situation. They still had plenty to say though and itching to know Kiki asked.

“How did she take it?”

Justin’s eyebrows arched tentatively and he proceeded to tell the tale.

**********************************************************

“I knew it! I knew something was going on between you too!” Cameron sniffed, wiping tears from under her eyes. “You were always together!”  Justin started to explain, but she shut him down. “Don’t even think about saying it was about Cheyenne. I would bet half the time she wasn’t even around!” He ducked his head giving her all the answer she needed. “You know I shouldn’t feel like I’m in shock right now. I knew you were still in love with her. You never stopped did you? The entire time we were together, you were in love, wishing you could be with another woman were you?”

“Yes.” He confessed softly, but clearly and that was it for Cameron. She gathered her purse and rolling suitcase and headed for the door. “I’m sorry Cam.” Justin stood up wanting to reach out and give her some comfort, but knowing she’d probably slap him so he stayed put. “I’m so sorry I hurt you.”

She whirled around anger burning in her eyes. “Fuck your selfish ass apology and fuck you!” She continued to storm out of the room, slamming the door behind her.

*********************************************************

“Yeah so she hates me now.”

“Her statement made it sound like the break up was amicable. But then again, if you guys told the truth the press would explode.”

“Exactly.” He said “I mean they’re going to swarm, but it won’t last, as long as they think we just called it quits. And they’ll keep you out of it.”

“I don’t know about that. They’ve been gossiping about me and you screwing around forever.”

There wasn’t a single trashy tabloid that hadn’t used a picture of them hanging out together, sometimes with Cheyenne even, and used it to speculate that an affair was going on. Back then they were dead wrong “ now - they’d be dead right if they started those rumors up again. Kiki and Justin would be naïve if they thought the media wouldn’t start implying that an affair had caused the break up. They could gossip all they wanted to, but they’d never get the truth or break either one of them. Kiki especially, would not let them get to her.

She shrugged. “They can start pointing fingers at me if they want. It’s not going to make me go crying to my Mommy or something. I could take it then, I can take it now.”

Justin chuckled briefly over just how well she handled media scrutiny. Kiki was a tough girl and honestly, had the respect and probably a little fear from the paps who gave her a wide berth.  But, that was then, what about now?

“I hope you can really handle it this time Kik because it’s going to be rough and I.... I didn’t just break up with Cameron because it was the right thing to do. I did it because I love you and I want to be with you.” Kiki watched him closely and noticed something was different about him as he once again spoke those words. There was a new sincerity and maturity in him that sparked a new sense of hope inside of her.  “After everything I’ve done I couldn’t blame you if you didn’t want me. I made a lot of mistakes and took you for granted.” He admitted. “But I really want another chance, one that I won’t screw up this time. Could you believe in me enough to let me prove that I can be the right man for you?”

Kiki was floored, almost impressed by him. Justin was for the first time coming at her realistically in regards to their relationship.  She could tell that he finally understood that their problems weren’t just some big misunderstanding that could be cured by charm and kisses. He seemed ready to put some real effort into fixing what was broken.

The question he posed was a good one and their chances hinged on not just her response, but both of their answers to it.

“I could believe in you and in us if I knew you understood that you can’t make everything about you in a real relationship Justin. I’m no angel in this, but we keep falling apart because you only think about what you need, what you deserve and your fears of getting hurt.” She wasn’t trying to place blame, just stating the truth and Justin wasn’t going to argue that. He was well aware that his selfish actions started each rift in their relationship. “What about what I need, the consideration and fidelity I deserve? This.” She waved her hand between them in reference. “Has to be about both of us if we want to make it.”

“And I can look past myself and think about the things you need because I want to make you happy Baby Doll. I want you to be happy with me.” He reached out to stroke her cheek. “I’m not going to let my selfishness hurt you or disrespect you ever again.” He promised. “I’m always going to be the possessive bastard who needs you and does anything to keep you though.” He grinned devilishly and she let out a puff of laughter. “You’re it for me Kiki. I don’t want anyone else and I don’t want you to want anyone else. So I’m ready to do right by you and I swear that I’ll never give you another reason to doubt me or how important you are to me.”

Kiki covered his mouth. “No more words. You’ve said a lot of things and didn’t come through.” Justin moved to duck his head shamefully, but she cupped his chin and tilted his face back up. “How about you just show me? We’ll show each other from now on how much we mean to one another. We’ll stick together this time.”

Looking as if he was ready to bounce off the walls with excitement, he asked. “So we’re back?”

She laughed, “we’re,” and scrunched her face trying to find the right definition. “We’re dating, learning about each other and building trust again. It’s going to take some time before we’re solid.” He nodded in complete agreement. “But I don’t have any plans to be with or even want anyone else. You’re it for me too.” That big goofy smile of his burst on his face and he suddenly grabbed her and planted a deep, yet very tender kiss on her lips.

Caught off guard at first, Kiki didn’t respond, but when she got her bearings, she reached up to wrap her hands around his wrists. When her skin touched his, Justin’s body jolted and he pulled out of the kiss.

“Sorry.”

“What?” Kiki panted, trying to refocus.

“I shouldn’t have grabbed you like that.” He had a knack for jumping the gun and being too forward with her. This was a new start for them, he didn’t want to push her too far.

“No.” She stressed and pulled him back towards her by a handful of his t-shirt. “You can grab me like that anytime.” She said with husky tone and a seductive glint in her eyes. Justin only smirked in return and let himself be dragged into a passionate, fierce kiss.

And once they started there was no stopping - mouths tangled together and hands all over each other. Justin’s roamed down to Kiki’s hips, as hers scratched sensuously at the nape of his neck, and holding on tight, he shifted his body until he was reclined on the back of the couch. Moving with him, she straddled his lap, her arms fully wrapped themselves around his neck and she lacked on to his bottom lip, tearing a moan out of him. He moved his hands around to squeeze her ass and pulled her tight into his lap. Kiki immediately started grinding into the growing bulge in his pants and with a hungry growl, Justin pulled her down even harder, rolling his hips back into hers with just as much force.

Kiki could feel her need for him escalating and she knew they had to stop soon before it went too far. Sex only clouded their minds and they needed to focus on other, more important issues in their relationship…And sex definitely was never an issue between them.

She practically had to shove herself away, it felt too damn good to stop, but they had to. “Time out.” She panted and brushed her wild hair out of her face. “We did just start dating. That means no sex.”

“Says who?” He asked incredulously.

“Says me. Now let go.” She tapped his arm and grumbling he released her.

“You know you’re killing me right now don’t you?”

Climbing off of her, she said. “I know, but you’ll live.” She patted his shoulder and he glared at her before shifting uncomfortably in his seat. “We just need something to distract ourselves.” She offered. “Umm, let’s….let’s talk some more. That’s something we should have been doing instead of having sex all along.”

He rolled his eyes. “Okay then what do you want to talk about that we haven’t gone through already?”

She shoved him, “don’t be a smartass.” He chuckled and turned to sit back on the arm of the couch, facing her. “Let’s talk about….oh! Work! Like three more weeks right?” She beamed, totally excited for him.

“We already talked about that didn’t we?” He asked deviously and started stroking her bare thigh. She glared at him and plucked his hand off of her. “Ok then, a little over three weeks. Yeah.” He smiled and she could tell he was really excited about the up and coming release.

“So have you been busy or have you been able to relax until the big bang?”

“It’s been a little bit of both. No more traveling out of the country as of now at least. But I’ve been rehearsing a lot for the performances I have coming up. The VMAs are next week.”

“I heard. Are you performing or presenting?”

“Performing. I’m the opening act actually.”

Kiki beamed. “Wow. You front and center again after these past few years. Nervous? Rusty?”

He peered at her. “Come on now. This is me you’re talkin’ about.” She playfully sneered at his arrogance and he laughed. “You and Pixie’ll watch right?”

“Sure. As long as you can promise me she won’t see her father popping another woman’s tit out. That was the last time you did a broadcasted performance right?” She cheesed cheekily at him, trying not to laugh at his scowl or pat herself on the back for a good comeback. A pissed of Justin was so much fun.

“We’re done talking. Go put a movie or something on.” He demanded and Kiki giggled as he started pouting.

“Ok. I’ll go get us some snacks. You pick the movie.” She stood up and moved to kiss his cheek, but he shrugged her off. It only prolonged her laughter as she strutted off to the kitchen.

Ten minutes later, Kiki was lying back on Justin’s chest as they sat on the couch munching and watching their flick. For the first time in a long time things were looking like they should have a long time ago for the little family in the making. And this time they were prepared to make it work and last for the long haul.
