Author's Chapter Notes:
Enjoy!

“Thank you for calling Key West. This is Mandy how may I help you?” The young woman recited her greeting when she answered the phone. “Yes she is, may I ask who’s calling?.....Ok I’ll connect you with her, hold for a minute please.”

Mandy glanced up for a second before she called Jade’s extension and saw none other than Justin Timberlake coming up the stairs. She froze. Her mind went blank and the page was long forgotten.

“Hey Mandy.” Justin said.

“Uh…Hi!” She cringed when she heard the squeak in her voice. This was not her first time meeting him yet she always acted like an idiot when he visited. She cleared her throat and tried again. “Hi Justin. How are you?”

He came up to the front desk and casually leaned across the countertop. “Pretty good. How about you?”

“Oh fine.” She smiled brightly, pratically cheesing. “I’m sure you’re looking for Kiki. She’s in her office.”

Justin grinned to himself at how flustered she was by his presence. Kiki had told him she was a big fan and had a little crush on him. She was a cool girl, he was flattered. “Thanks Mandy.” He began to walk around the desk in the direction of Kiki’s office. “Hey how’s school going?”

Surprised that he knew something about her and then happy that he cared to ask, she answered. “Really good actually.”

“Cool.” He nodded. “Keep up the good work.” He winked at her, causing her to blush profusely, and continued on to Kiki’s office.

While walking past the fitness floor, he couldn’t help but notice to few people who recognized him stop mid workout to stare. He was in a good mood so he decided to acknowledge them with a little wave that sent two college girls into a fit of giggles. Fortunately they went right back to their workout and didn’t come running over to bombard him. That was one of the things he liked about Kiki’s place. Everyone was so laid back and he could pass through or have a good workout without being bothered by most people.

He reached Kiki’s door and could see her on the phone, so he knocked. She looked up and smiled when she saw him, quickly waving him in. Before taking a seat in the empty chair, he walked over to stand behind her and bent down as her head arched back for a kiss.

Backing out of the kiss when her distributor came back on the line, she repeated her order for new equipment. “Yes, that’s correct. A set of Yoga mats and blocks, a package of stability balls, and medicine balls….Okay…..Next week?....That’s perfect….Yup I’m all set. Thanks Tom.” She hung up the phone and jotted down the cost for the order before turning her attention to her guest. “Hi babe. You ready for lunch?”

“Yup.” He rubbed his stomach emphasizing his hunger. “I called Joe. He and Tam are already headed there.”

“Okay.” She turned back to her computer to shut it down. “Did you stop and see Pixie on your way up?”

“Hell no.” he replied adamantly and she giggled. She knew as well as he did that if he stopped by the daycare to see Cheyenne, there was a chance she wouldn’t let him leave without taking her with him. And they had planned on spending the afternoon together, just the two of them. They would come back to get her later.

They both got out of their seats and Justin held the door open while Kiki grabbed her messenger bag.

At the front desk, Kevin was filling Mandy in on a prospective member that would be coming in for a tour when he saw the couple approaching. “Well that explains why you were all red in the face a minute ago.” He teased her and she hissed at him to be quiet. “What’s up man?” He and Justin greeted each other with a hand clutch. “You takin’ off?” He asked Kiki.

“Yeah.” She answered while signing out. “I placed that order with Tom, it’ll be here next week.”

“Cool.” He said. “I’m gonna get started on those promos today.”

“Oh good. Whatever you don’t get to today, I’ll finish up tomorrow.”

“Alright. I’ll leave the paper work on your desk.” He told her. “See ya Saturday?”

“Sure will. Have a good night.” She said and he made his way back to his office. “Okay, let’s go.” She said to Justin and holding hands, they headed toward the exit. “You have this weekend off right Mandy?” She was on the phone so she could only nod. Kiki wished her a good weekend and she waved bye to her and Justin.

Driving across town to the restaurant, they arrived to find that Joey and Tami were already seated at a table. While looking over their menus, Joey filled them in on his good news.

“Oh wow Joey congratulations.” Kiki beamed upon hearing about his new hosting and corresponding gigs for NBC and TV Guide.

“Yeah thank you. It’s something new and different for me.” He explained. “A needed change with the lack of talent coming through Jive lately.” He glanced knowingly at Justin.

“We seriously need some new faces in the game.” He shook his head disappointedly.

“I miss the good ol’ days when people could actually sing.” Kiki sighed.

Their waitress showed up and after a moment of shock seeing her customers, she composed herself and took all their orders.

Thinking about Kiki’s last comment, Tami decided to mess with her a little. “You know you could always cut an album.”

It wasn’t a suggestion that all her friends including Tami, hadn’t brought up many a time. And just like now, Kiki’s only response was a warning glance.

“Nevermind then.” Tami backtracked.

“Why not? I’ve heard you sing before and you’ve got some pipes on you Kik.” Joey asked.

Justin was giving her that “I told you so” grin and she rolled her eyes.

“I get enough aggravation from being his girlfriend. I don’t need any more, thank you very much.”

“Don’t worry I’ll get her to do some background vocals or maybe even a whole track for me one of these days.” Justin smiled over confidently.

“Keep dreaming babe.” She patted his cheek comfortingly and moved to stand up. “I’m going to the ladies room before our food gets here.” Joey bawked at her like a chicken and she flipped him off.

“I’ll come with you.” Tami offered and together they left their guys to get some guy talk in while they of course did the same.

Standing side by side at the sinks washing their hands, Tami used the opportunity to ask a question she’d been dying to ask Kiki.

“Are you okay?”

“Okay about what?” Kiki frowned in confusion as she fixed her make-up.

“Well….” She started hesitantly. “Britney Spears is single again.”

Kiki shrugged, not at all phased by the statement.

Yesterday morning, she went downstairs to start breakfast and turned on the small TV to see every news broadcast, in LA and nationally, talking about the same thing. Britney Spears had filed for divorce from her husband.

Was she surprised? Not really. Was she worried? Hell no. And when she relayed the news to Justin, all he did was snort and say he was surprised it lasted as long as it did. That was the last thing they said on the matter and they went about their normal day. Of course, photographers descended, asking Justin if he would go back to Britney and asking Kiki if she was worried that he’d leave her for his first love. Secure in their relationship Kiki had no concerns about a Pop Prince and Princess reunion. Especially seeing as she witnessed first hand what that woman did to him and that was only the tail end of it. There was no way he would go back to her.

“He’s not going to leave me for Britney or any other woman for that matter, Tams. Believe me I am not worried. For more than a few reasons.” She gave her appearance a final check in the mirror and stuffed her lip gloss back into her pocket.

Tami looked at her friend suspiciously. “Like what?”

Her suspicion escalated when an evil grin grew on Kiki’s face before she strutted out the bathroom. Tami was right on her tail wanting an explanation.

They got back to the table to see that their salad had arrived and the guys were half way through their first helping.

“Thanks for waiting for us guys.” Tami sarcastically chastened.

“What? I told you I was hungry.” Joey whined.

Kiki laughed and glanced at her man chowing down before tucking into her food. Feeling Tami glaring at her, waiting for an answer, Kiki decided to put her out of her misery. “Baby?” She called to Justin.

“Yeah?” He responded reflexively, too bust being greedy and going for seconds in the salad bowl.

She had a devious smirk firmly in place as she began. “Can you tell Tami why she shouldn’t worry about you leaving me for the newly single Miss Spears?”

He paused for a moment, a fork full mid air and looked up towards her. He gave her a withering stare and Kiki wanted to bust out laughing.

She may not have expressed any deep fear about him reuniting with his ex, but she did give him a warning should he, in her words, “lose his fucking mind”.

Addressing Tami and Joey who were both captivated by their conversation, Kiki revealed. “If Justin leaves me for her, or any other woman actually, I won’t stop him. But he’ll be going to whoever she may be without a very important appendage. And the cops won’t find his.”

The reference wasn’t hard to miss and Joey immediately threw his head back cracking up laugh along with Tami….At first.

When she took note of his outrageous laughter she stopped and glowered at him. “You really shouldn’t be laughing that hard because if you pull something like that with Kelly, you’ll be without just like him.”

His laughter dried up instantly and he looked over at a sulking Justin. “How did we both hook up with a crazy ass chick?”

“You’d be miserable without me.” Kiki and Tami said simultaneously. “Jinx you.” They again said at the same time, laughing at themselves. They then went off on a conversation together, completely ignoring their significant others.

“We’re whipped. That’s all there is to it man.” Justin resigned and he and Joey sat back in their seats watching their girls giggle and give each other daps of victory.

Luckily for them, they got some relief when their main course arrived and conversation shifted to other topics. After lunch the couples left the restaurant and said their goodbyes before going their separate way.

Coming up behind her as they walked across the parking lot to his car, Justin wrapped his arms around Kiki’s waist and hooked his chin over her shoulder. “Baby Doll you really wouldn’t do me like that would you?”

“Well I have to have some sort of insurance for that blonde fixation you have.”

“You don’t have to go to extremes though. All you gotta do is dye your hair and it’ll be all good.”

She whipped around and pushed him away from her as he laughed. “Oh you think that’s funny huh?” She slapped at him and he blocked her, shuffling backwards. She secured her bag over her shoulder and followed him, slapping at his arms and chest. “How about I get some blue contacts to go with it? Huh?”

“Ooh yeah baby.” He teased, licking his bottom lip seductively and grinning devilishly.  She scoffed harshly in disbelief, but she knew he was joking and laughed at his nerve.

“You asshole.” She continued to swing and followed his retreat, until he stopped in the middle of the parking lot and put up his dukes.

“Fine, you want some of this? Come on. Bring it.”

“Oh I’ll bring it.” And the two begin to play fight, swinging and pushing at each other, laughing the entire time.

“You better stop it or those photographers are going make you out to be abusing me.” He said in reference to a couple of paparazzo that showed up snapping picture of them playing around. “Then you’re going to have legions of women out to get you for hurting their poor innocent Justin.”

“Innocent my ass, you perv.” She swung an open hand at him making contact with his shoulder then swung with her other arm only to be blocked this time.

“You know you love it.” He flicked his tongue out at her suggestively. Kiki broke her stance and gawked at him for his lewd public gesturing. He took the opening and popped the front of her bra. Quickly scuttling back, he laughed hysterically at her stunted appearance and continued to provoke her. “Come on I thought you were all bad ass.”

“You!” She growled and went for the kill, charging at him, but he caught her before impact and slung her over his shoulder. With her securely in place, he resumed their journey to the car, stopping to pick up her bag that fell on the ground during their playing and then kept on walking.

“Justin put me down.” She wiggled on his shoulder trying to get free, but he had a tight grip on her. “You’re just mad because I was winning.”

“Yeah ok, you keep thinking that, but I got your ass now don’t I?” And he smacked her hard on the butt to prove his point. He reached the passenger side of the car and opened the door before setting her on the ground.

“I can’t stand you.” She glared at him and rubbed her stinging rear.

He stooped down to bring his mouth inches from hers. “That’s ok cause I can’t stand you either.” His arms curled around her body and his hands took over rubbing her butt soothingly while he kissed her.

They stood in the opened door kissing until the flash of a camera interrupted them. “Smile Justin, smile Kiki.” The photographer cajoled trying to get a money shot.

Justin groaned in annoyance and used his body to at least block their view of Kiki, but she wasn’t cooperation.

Feeling playful and wanting to push Justin’s buttons a little more, she looked over his shoulder and wiggled her fingers at the photographers. “Hi guys!” She giggled teasingly.

He growled at her, making her giggle even more and using his hips, pushed her into the car.

He closed the door on her, halting anymore of her antics. They continued to take pictures as he walked around the front of the car to the driver’s side and parked themselves in front snapping away.

Inside the vehicle, the couple buckled up and Justin started up the engine.

“You are such a troublemaker.”

“You know you love it.” She tipped her sunglasses down to wink at him and blew a kiss.

Shaking his head, Justin chuckled and putting the car in gear, he laid on the horn as a warning. The coast was quickly cleared and he took off.

They arrived on Melrose for some shopping and as Kiki was preparing to get out of the car, Justin stopped her. “Hey, you know I love you no matter what right? You’re perfect just the way you are.” He was stroking the side of her face with the back of his hand, imploring her not be offended by his joking.

She nuzzled into his touch, then grasped his hand and kissed his palm. “I know.” She smiled at him and held his hand in hers to her heart. “And I love you just the way you are. Even if you go back to the platinum blonde ramen noodle hair, or the ‘fro, or even the Grizzly Adams look.” They both giggled lightly.

For a moment, they sat there in silence just staring at each other lovingly. Wanting a kiss, Kiki leaned over the console to capture his lips.

After a rather heated one, she pulled away, briefly taking his bottom lip with her and released it with an audible “pop”. She giggled at the moan he let out and dropped one last peck on his lips. “Come on, let’s go shopping. You buy me something and I’ll buy you something.”

They met on the sidewalk after climbing out and Justin looked at her with wide eyes, excited at the prospect especially when he realized what store was on this strip. “Can I finally get those hooker boots I want?”

She gave him a sexy grin and asked, “Why? You want to play tonight?”

Looking at her lustfully, he nodded eagerly. “Uh huh.”

“Then let’s go get your boots.” She answered in a husky tone that told of her own desires for the night to come.

She grabbed his hand and pulled a very horny and happy Justin behind her towards Agent Provocateur.

After shopping, they headed back to Santa Monica, but made a stop before going to the club. Kiki was craving one of her favorite smoothies, so they swung by the little ice cream shop that sat on the pier for a drink.

“What are you looking at?” Kiki asked when she saw that through his sunglasses, Justin was staring at something across the boardwalk. A female something rollerblading in a bikini.

“Her ass.” He answered frankly and Kiki kicked him in the shin. “Shit.” He laughed despite the pain and reached down to rub his offended leg. He saw her aiming another shot at him and grabbed her ankle, dragging her with her chair to his side.

She laughed at his expense and weakly tried fighting him off. “Pig.” She berated jokingly, not really that upset. He was a guy. They couldn’t help looking, but Justin wasn’t stupid enough to touch. “Humph.” She brushed him off when he puckered his lips at her for a kiss. “Mine is better right?”

“Of course it is.” He slipped his hand down her back to grab her butt. She squealed and he took the opening to kiss her, thrusting his tongue into her mouth. Caught a little off guard at first, Kiki quickly joined in and grabbing the sides of his face, her lips went to battle with his. Breaking the kiss, Justin told her. “I love your ass.”

“I love yours too… Well your barely-there ass.” She teased and wrapped her arms around his, resting her head on his shoulder and they went back to their drinks.

Needing just a little more time alone, Kiki and Justin decided to take a quick stroll on the beach. They both took their shoes and socks off to walk through the tide. With Justin’s arm over her shoulder and hers around his waist, neither said anything as they took in the warm sun and cool water lapping at their ankles. It was a rare quiet and peaceful moment in public for the couple now-a-days and they were taking full advantage.

Of course it was only a matter of time before someone noticed them.

Turning away from watching the various boats and jet skis on the water in the distance, Kiki scanned the beach.

“Uh oh.” She said to Justin. “Heads up you got a couple of teenagers scooping you out.”

“Where?” She nodded in their direction. “Shit.” He growled in annoyance when he spotted them.

“That’s right get, all your pissin’ and moanin’ out of your system. You can be an asshole on your own time. You’re with me now and you are not going to embarrass me.”

“Yes Mom.” He quipped and before she could snap back at him, the girls approached them.

“Oh my gawh. It is him! I told you it was him!” One of the two bleach blonde girls squealed.

“Hey girls. Can you keep it down a little? I don’t want too many people recognizing me.” Justin attempted to ask politely. But knowing him, Kiki could hear the underlining attitude and pinched his side, making him wince.

“Oh sorry. We just wanted to come over and say hi and tell you how much we love-“

Love.” The other girl stressed.

“Your new album.” Her friend finished.

“Well thank you. I appreciate it.” He barely got out as they started gushing again.

“And swear to God you two are like the hottest couple in Hollywood.” Kiki’s eyebrows arched at that, surprised to be brought into the conversation. “We are so happy Justin picked you over Cameron” She said to Kiki and then to Justin. “And we know you’re totally not gonna go back to Britney. I mean you two are so 1999. You’ve definitely moved on.”

Justin choked back a laugh, removing his arm from Kiki to cover his smile as he feigned coughing. A little stunned by their gall, Kiki could only mumble out, “thank you. I think.”

“When are you guys getting married?”

“Willa! You can’t ask personal questions like that.”

“Well this is probably the only time we’ll ever get to talk to Justin Timberlake so we might as well get all the answers we can Stacey. Hello.” She flung her arm dramatically, bringing her camera attached to her wrist into her eye line. “Oh my gosh! My camera! I almost forgot. We gotta take a picture.”

Giddily, the girls corralled Justin and Kiki in between them and Willa stuck the camera out in front of them. “Okay get ready.”

“Don’t you want someone else to take the picture so you can get a good shot?” Justin asked in confusion.

“Oh Willa is the queen of self photography. Now smile!” Stacey ordered.

A quick double flash and it was done.

“See.” Willa said after checking her work. “Perfect every time.” She bragged and showed it off.

“Well girls….Its been real, but we gotta get out of here.” Justin told them, ready to get off this crazy ride.

“Oh ok. It was great seeing you guys.” Stacey said and she and Willa took turns bear hugging Justin and Kiki, shocking the shit out of them. You would have thought they were old friends who just finished catching up.

“You guys take care and see ya around.” Willa said before she and Stacey trotted back to their layout, briefly waving goodbye.

Stunned by the whole encounter, Justin and Kiki stood there momentarily looking between each other and the retreating teens. They finally snapped out of it, giggling the entire time as they quickly went back to the car just in case some more strange fans were out there ready to pounce.

“Okay out of all the times I’ve been approached by fans, that was the craziest.”

They stopped at the border between the beach and the parking lot to put their shoes back on.

“But they were cute.”

“Yeah until they start stalking me.” Justin joked while pulling out his keys. Kiki snickered and hopped in the car once he unlocked the doors.

They got back to Key West and picked up a very hungry Cheyenne. Getting some take out for dinner, they went home to Kiki’s place, ate and watched a movie before going to bed.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

That night found Justin sleeping restlessly. For some reason the question that the duo, Willa and Stacey, asked kept plaguing his mind. But in a good way.

Were he and Kiki even ready for marriage? He didn’t know. No doubt he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. It was just that marriage was such a big step and in this day and age, did you really have to be married to be together forever? What if marriage turned their relationship ugly and they ended up bitter and divorced like everyone else? Marriage brought up too many what ifs and it was too soon for that anyway.

One thing Justin did know for sure was that he was ready to go to the next level with Kiki.

Over a week after his epiphany, he was lying in his bed watching Kiki pit pat around, getting herself ready to go to sleep and he felt it was finally time to pop the question. He wanted the feeling of completeness that he got with her on nights like this to be permanent “ falling asleep in her arms with Cheyenne tucked in her bed down the hall from them.

While her back was to him, he pulled the surprise that he’d been working on from his nightstand drawer, keeping it hidden under the covers.

“Uh. I am so tired.” Kiki sighed as she climbed in next to him. “So glad I have tomorrow off.”

“Is Cheyenne staying home with you?”

“Unless she wants to go to daycare. I have some errands to run so she can come with me.” She said while fluffing her pillows.

“What are you going out for?”

“We’re running out of some stuff around here so I’m gonna go to Costco’s and probably Target too.” She turned to set her alarm. “Do you need anything while I’m out?”

Justin smiled. This was the perfect opening. “No I don’t need anything, but since you’re buying stuff for the house, you might wanna sign this.” He suggested and pulled out his ace.

“Huh?” She turned back to see a piece of paper in his hand. “What is that?”

He tipped the paper towards her. “Read it.”

She took it from him and cautiously read it. It didn’t take long for her to figure out what the paperwork was for and her eyes widened. “Is this real? I mean are you serious?” She questioned incredulously.

“As a heart attack.” He deadpanned in response.

“You put my name on the deed to this house. We own this house?” No matter what she saw in front of her own eyes, she just couldn’t believe it.

“Yup.” He answered simply.

Completely floored and in disbelief, Kiki joked. “You’re ready to let go of your bachelor pad?”

He shrugged carelessly. “Yeah. I still got one in Memphis.”

“Whatever.” She exasperated as she pushed him away from her and he laughed.

“No seriously though. I want this to be your home Kik. Yours and Cheyenne’s.” He asked sincerely. “Every day, all the time.”

“Justin my name on this deed isn’t necessary for me to feel at home. I already feel at home here.”

“I know but I want this to be ours.” He tucked her bang behind her ear when it fell over her face. “You know?” He implored her to understand that this was the only place he wanted her calling home. “I don’t care about this place if you’re not here. It’s not home to me anymore if I don’t have you and Cheyenne here with me.”

“Justin..” She sighed lovingly. That was one of the sweetest things he’d ever said to her. How could she refuse him? Besides they were basically living together already. She couldn’t remember the last time she was at her condo. Or even the last time she was at her place and Justin wasn’t there too. It was almost like they had two homes so it would kind of be like they were consolidating.

Looking at Justin’s anxious face and feeling anxious herself about taking this big step, Kiki took the plunge. “Okay. We’ll move in permanently.” He immediately pulled her into his arms, happy beyond words. “Oh my gawh, we have a home together.”  She gushed with happiness and planted a kiss on him. They had just made big step in their future together, and despite how scary it was they couldn’t be anything but joyous about it.

Kiki sat up quickly and scanned what was now officially their bedroom. “I have some serious redecorating to do. We already got a new bed set in here so that’s all taken care of.” No way was her stuff and her body occupying the same furniture that however many women in his past had. That was taken care of real quick when they got back together.

“Redecorating? You think I’m gonna let you redecorate my house?” He dared her playfully. He honestly could care less what she did to the house as long as she was living in it with him.

“Don’t you mean our house honey?” She batted her eyelashes and he glared. “Having second thoughts? Too bad!” She laughed. “So you better get on board cause its not like you can stop me.”

“Oh really?” He questioned her and before she knew it, he tackled her on the bed, tickling her. She screamed with laughter and they wrestled around a little until they were breathless.

“Ok enough. Get off of me.” Panting, she pushed him off of her and straightened herself out. “Let’s get some sleep.”

Turning the lights down, Justin slipped under the covers and wrapped his arms around Kiki, burrowing his face in her stomach.

She yawned and said. “I have even more things to do tomorrow now: figure out what of our stuff needs to be moved from the condo, put the condo on the market…”

“Shut up.” Justin moaned, in between sleep and consciousness.

“You shut up.” She volleyed back, drifting into the same state as him.

“Mmhmm. I love you.” He mumbled one last time before he was out for the count.

Running her fingers softly across the nape of his neck, Kiki replied, “love you too,” and followed him into a peaceful sleep.

The following week was a busy one for Justin and Kiki as they prepared for the big move. The first order of business before anything was packed up or moved was to deliver the news to Cheyenne.

The three of them were sitting at the kitchen table have breakfast when they told her.

“Babyheart, me and Daddy have something to talk to you about.”

“What?” She asked with innocent curiosity while stabbing at a piece of syrup drenched french toast and stuffing it into her mouth.

“Well you know how sometimes after daycare we got to our house and other times we come here to Daddy’s?” She nodded at her mother. “We’re not going to do that anymore honey.”

A worried look appeared on Cheyenne’s face and Kiki started thinking she’d approached this topic from the wrong direction.

Ignoring her food, Cheyenne nervously asked. “How come we not going home anymore Mommy?”

Both Kiki and Justin reached out to her to sooth her fear and Justin clarified. “Of course you’re gonna go home again baby girl.” He chuckled to himself at how literal she took things sometimes. “It’s just that this is going to be your home now. You and Mommy are gonna come and live here with me.”

Confusion traded places with fear and she stated certainly. “We already live here Daddy.”

“True, but you’re not going to live at Mommy’s house, just this home.”

Still confused, Cheyenne looked to her mother hoping she’d explain what her daddy was talking about.

Seeing that they were twisting their child’s mind all up, Kiki made it simple. “Pix, our house is gonna be our old home and this is gonna be our new home that we all live in from now on.”

“Oh.” She drew out, finally getting it…Wait! If they all lived here “ “who’s gonna live in our old house now?”

“I don’t know baby, but don’t you worry about that okay?” Again Cheyenne nodded her understandingly.

“The only thing that matters is that me, you and Mommy are always gonna be together.” She turned to face her father and he smiled. “Right?”

“Right.” She peeped happily. Her appetite was restored so picking her fork up, she dug back into her meal.

Watching her and then looking at each other from across the table, Justin and Kiki smiled. They knew Cheyenne would adjust to the move and that this would be a good thing for their family.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Sure enough once they started the process, Cheyenne was just fine. She was quite the little helper even when she found out all their things that they didn’t need anymore were going to charity. Kiki was proud to see that she understood that it was a good thing to give what you didn’t need to those who were in need. With the girls, Lynn and Nina helping them, they went through all their personal belongings, dvying up what would come with them to the house and what went to good will.

Kiki had decided that she would leave the communal furniture and houseware to the next owner or better yet, her new tenant.

While sifting through her stuff that went all the way back to when she was 19 and first brought her condo. Kiki realized she couldn’t part with it, not permanently by selling. After talking with her father, she decided to lease her apartment. It would be a good investment and luck would have it, she already had the perfect tenant in mind.

“Are you sure?” Rachel asked hopefully when Kiki finished her proposal.

“Completely. Leasing it to you is a lot less stressful than dealing with a stranger. I know you. I know you won’t trash the place and that you’ll pay rent consistently.” It was her worse fear with taking on a tenant, but having Rachel rent from her solved that.  “And it’s like keeping it in the family you know?”

The two women smiled at one another, both truly feeling a familiar bond between them.

“Alright. I’ll take it.” Rachel agreed and realizing that just like that she finally had a place of her own, she cried out in excitement. “Thank you. Thank you so much Kiki.” Reaching over she hugged her and letting go she started sing songing in her seat at the kitchen table. “I got a condo. I got a condo.”

Kiki laughed as she watched her celebrate, beyond happy that everything was coming together for them all.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

The day of the move, everyone had come over to help, turning it into an impromptu get together.

While putting away some of her clothes and things into the bedroom, Kiki discovered some surprise construction going on.

Three quarters of the room next door was being converted into an office for her and the rest was made into a walk in closet that connected with Justin’s. Furthermore, her new closet was already supplied with a variety of new clothing and accessories, from shoes to underwear.

As Kiki was looking through the racks and the island dresser in awe, she felt a presence in the room with her. She turned around to see Justin leaning against the door frame, smiling at her. She just shook her head at him and snorted a laugh.

“You’re spoiling me.”

“That’s the idea.” He came over to her and loosely draped his arms around her neck. “Do you like it?”

“Mmhmm. Thank you.” Gripping his sides, she tip toed to peck his lips. “But now I feel like I have to do something special for you.”

“No you don’t. You’re already giving me what I want. You and Cheyenne - here with me all day, every day.” Kiki kissed him again, almost going to mush from his endearing words. “Besides…” He leaned them over and opened a door next to the floor length tri fold mirror. “These will make up the difference very nicely.” She busted out laughing when she saw what was inside.

Being the nosey person that he was, Justin went snooping through some of the garment boxes in their bedroom while Kiki was downstairs directing the movers. What he found in two of the boxes marked “Personal” brought a lecherous smile on his face and sent all kinds of thoughts racing through his mind. Containing his excitement, he took great care in unpacking his new found treasure.

What he had discovered and was now showing Kiki where he had stored them, was some of the sexy little outfits from her PCD days and others she purchased herself. Also included in the box were a couple of whips; one of them being the leather one she wielded recently at the reunion show, the boots he had brought her, and an assortment of blindfolds and handcuffs. In the second box, the long and thin one, was the pièce de résistance for Justin “ Kiki’s personal removable stripper’s pole.

“You are such a freak.”

“Wait a minute. You’re the one who owns all this stuff.” He pointed out. “Lucky for you I can’t wait to play with them.” He grabbed her hips and pulled her into him so she could feel exactly how eager he was to test out her toys.

Kiki chuckled gruffly at his horniness. There were people all over their house right now. There was no way he was getting any, but wanting to have some fun, she decided play along. Get him all worked up before she dropping the bomb.

“You do know someone has to come in and install a mount before we can use the pole right?” She spoke as she sensually ran her hands up his body to cup his face and pulled him down for a searing kiss. She didn’t let it last long and broke away to teasingly ask for confirmation. “Right Justin?”

He was breathless and wanted more so he quickly answered. “I just got off the phone with them and they’re coming this afternoon Baby Doll.”

Leaning away when he tried to kiss her, she questioned him. “And where pray tell is this little set up going to be?”

“Over there in the lounge.”

Just before the bathroom’s entrance there was a small alcove lounge with an overstuffed chair and ottoman, a fainting couch and a small coffee table. A place for them to relax if they didn’t want to be in bed or downstairs and it faced the balcony that had a great view of Los Angeles.

“It can be turned into the perfect champagne room and the furniture can hide the mount on the floor when you’re off duty.” He quipped and she scoffed. “Not that I really care if anyone knows I have a strip club in my bedroom. An in-house, sexy as hell, stripper included.”

“You are a mess.” He smiled and again attempted to get them back on track with the kissing, but she stopped him with a hand on his chest. “Sorry to burst your bubble baby, but mount or not, we can’t play today. We got work to do. So you and ‘it’...” She looked down between them at the bulge in his sweats. “Are going to have to wait awhile.” Slipping her hand down his waist, she started stroking his erection. But as soon as he started moaning, she stepped away from him.

He growled, “come back here,” and tried to grab her, but she evaded him. She hurried out the closet giggling and he followed almost like a panting dog. Just as she was about to walk out the bedroom, he barked. “Fuckin’ cocktease.”

It only made her laugh even harder at the strain for control she could hear in his voice. She admittedly enjoyed teasing him, but his patience always paid off in the end, and she definitely had plans to reward him tonight. They had some celebrating to do. In fact she had plans for them to celebrate in a number of spots around the house in the near future.

Thankfully after spending the week unpacking and organizing the house, Kiki only had to go into work the following weekend to teach a couple of classes. She got home that afternoon to find her house dead quiet. Justin’s car was in the drive in front of the garage, as was someone else’s top of the line Mercedes. She figured he was working with the owner of the Mercedes down in the studio, and Cheyenne was out with Alana and Robbie for the day.

Kiki thought to make the most out of her moment of peace. There was only so much she could get done before Cheyenne came home, Justin finished work and they both started clamoring for her attention. After she took a shower and changed, she started with collecting all the dirty clothes in the house to do some laundry. Clearing out the top floor, she moved to the first and then the basement. It only took a few steps into the game lounge for all her plans to fall through.

Hearing feminine laughter come from the room, Kiki’s curiosity was peaked as to who Justin was working with. Taking a peek, she found the last person she would even imagine in their house sitting at the bar, laughing and smiling alongside Justin.

Britney freakin’ Spears.

“I can believe you remember that.” Justin laughed and pulled out two bottles of water for them from under the bar.

“Of course I did. We had so much fun that weekend.” Britney said nostalgically.

“Yeah we did.” He nodded. “The good ol’ days.”

Listening to them go down memory lane and watching Britney beaming at him adoringly was making Kiki sick. She normally wasn’t the insecure type, never afraid of the many women who threw themselves at her man. But this wasn’t just any woman and seeing them together was such a shock. Why didn’t Justin tell her they were working together? Were they really working together or was something else going on?

Before she had a chance to make her presence known, Justin broke eye contact with Britney and glanced up to see her standing in the doorway. His smile immediately fell.

“H-hey Kik.” He stuttered and smiled again, this time clearly out of nerves. “When did you get home?” He quickly circled the bar to approach her.

“Not that long ago. I’ve been upstairs getting some stuff done.” She accepted his kiss, but she didn’t let it distract her from the questions she was going to get answers to. “I didn’t know you were working today. Where’s Cheyenne?”

“Alana came and got her to take her and Robbie to the movies. Remember? You guys planned for it last week.”

“Yeah.” She paused and finally shook herself from stunned state she was still in. “I guess I just forget about that. Funny how that happened.” She squinted darkly.

Justin knew exactly what had jogged her memory and he chuckled uneasily. She was going to kill him for this. “Yeah um, Baby Doll.” He started, using her pet name to try to placate her and grabbed her hand, leading her to the bar. “This is Britney. Brit, this is Kiki.”

“Hi.” Britney greeted her cheerfully, too cheerfully for Kiki’s liking, and stuck her hand out. “It’s nice to meet you. Justin’s told me all about you this past week.”

A week! Kiki mentally fumed and glared at Justin sideways. He swallowed thickly. Kiki accepted her hand shake and smiled, choosing to let the girl keep on talking and possibly bury Justin further.

“I met your little girl earlier and she is the sweetest little thing.”

“Thank you.” Kiki responded. “It’s nice to meet you too by the way.”

Britney nodded with a smile and then an extremely uncomfortable silence seeped into the room.

Wanting some answers, Kiki broke the tension by not so subtly asking, “Justin can you come help me with something upstairs?” He hesitated. “Now.” She ordered and started for the door, leaving no room for argument.

Quickly excusing himself and telling Britney he’s be back, Justin scurried after Kiki.

“What the hell is going on Justin? I mean what the fuck has been going on between you two for the past week?!” She ranted, standing on the opposite side of the counter so she couldn’t ring his neck.

“Just calm down baby and let me explain. It’s not that bad.”

“Oh it better not be that bad because if you’re cheating on me with her, her of all people-“

“No. No!” He jumped in. “I am not cheating on you.” He proclaimed adamantly, on the brink of bellowing it. “I would never, ever cheat on you again baby. I fuckin’ swear to God I wouldn’t do that to you again.”

Kiki knew he wasn’t cheating and when she saw the slight look of fear in his eyes as he asserted his innocence, she pardoned him. “I know you wouldn’t okay?” His whole body relaxed with her assurance. “But you need to tell me what she’s doing here.”

“I’m producing a couple of tracks for her new album.” He freely confessed. “Her manager called Johnny and asked if I was available. It’s a huge opportunity for me baby, I couldn’t say no.”

Now that she had the whole story, Kiki’s anger deflated. How could she be mad and not support this big advancement in his career?

“Of course you couldn’t say no.” She agreed. “And now that I know what’s going on.” She glared pointedly. “I understand and I’m not upset.” Before he could completely relax, she backtracked. “I’m not upset that you’re working with her, but I am not happy that you’ve been sneaking behind my back to do it.” He turned his head down slightly in a show of embarrassment. “All you had to do is tell me the truth from the beginning. I wouldn’t have gotten mad at all.” She informed him. “First of all, I trust you Justin. And secondly, I find it hard to believe she’s still hung up on you so it not like I’m gonna busting into the studio to scratch her eyes out or something.”

Justin peered up at her with a look that said, “think again.”

Glowering, Kiki asked cagily. “She still wants you?” Justin grimaced in reluctant confirmation. “Did she actually tell you she still wanted you?”

He sighed and admitted. “Yeah. At the end of our first session.”

“Wow.” Kiki awed. “She certainly didn’t waste any time.” As annoying as it was knowing someone seriously had it out for her man, it was Justin’s response that mattered the most. “What did you say?” She fired back.

He moved around the island to be closer to her now that he felt like he was out of trouble. “I told her that it wasn’t gonna happen, that me and her were in the past “ I can only offer her friendship because I already have what I want.” Standing in front of her, he wrapped her up in his arms and she leaned into his embrace. He placed his finger under her chin and tipped her face up until they made eye contact. “You.” He made clear. “I want you.”

Kiki smirked and Justin took it as a green light. He leaned in and started nuzzling the side of her neck. Murmuring, she replied. “Good answer.”

Puffing humorously into her skin, he pulled her in tighter until she put her arms around him. His nuzzling turned to nibbling, making Kiki half giggle and half moan. “Do you forgive me?”

“Hmm.” She faked indecisiveness and he stepped up his game, sipping at her. “I think so….But.” She yanked herself away and grabbed his chin. “You owe me big time.”

“Yes ma’am.” He said boyishly.

“Mmhmm.” She replied and pushed him away. “Go back to your session before I change my mind.”

He beamed at her and smiling back, she blew him a kiss. Leaving the room, she caught a glimpse of the uncovered pool that had been cleaned this morning. “Hm. I think I’m gonna for a swim.” She muttered to herself, but Justin heard loud and clear.

He froze mid stride back towards the basement. Seeing him falter out the corner of her eye, Kiki was initially confused. Then it dawned on her and she smiled wickedly.

Maybe I just found the perfect way to make our little guest leave sooner rather than later.

“Wait for me?” Justin damn near pleaded. “We were just finishing up. We should be done soon.”

“Okay.” She acquiesced cutely. Passing him on her way to the back steps, she laid a long sensual kiss on his cheek. Justin was about to snatch her back, but she slipped out of his reach and went upstairs without looking back.

Kiki could feel his hot lingering stare on her back and mentally patted herself on the back. Oh yes, today’s session would be over quick and in a hurry.

After changing into her bikini, she collected some supplies and headed outside to get comfortable on a patio chair. She had her phone with her and decided she had to call someone to vent about what was going down in her house.

“Hey chica. What’s up?” Tami answered.

“You won’t believe who is in my house right now.”

“Who?”

“Britney Spears.”

The line went silent for a minute as Tami processed the really surprising news. “Are you kidding me?”

“Not at all. She and Justin are in the studio, recording tracks for her new album.”

“Justin producing her?”

“Uh huh.”

“Wow. That’s a great opportunity for him, but….They’ve got history. Some seriously personal, intimate history.” She stressed. “How’s he dealing with it? How are you?”

“He’s fine actually. It’s just business and possibly a second chance at friendship so I’m fine too…..I think.”

“You think?” Tami asked worriedly.

“Well Justin said she wants him back.”

Tami snorted. “Too bad for her because she’s never going to get him back. He’s completely in love with you.”

“I know. I’m not worried.” Kiki ensured confidently. “If I was I’d be hovering over them in the studio instead of being all the way out here by the pool.”

“Wait, does Justin know you’re outside taking a little dip?” When Kiki confirmed that he did, Tami busted out laughing. “Oh you sneaky little bitch.”

“What?” She innocently exclaimed, a devious glint her eye the entire time.

“Don’t play dumb. You know damn well what you’re doing. You take a sock off and Justin’s ready to drag you off somewhere. I can only imagine what he’s gonna do knowing you’re walking around half naked.” Torturing Justin like that was cold, but still hilarious. “That recording session was over the minute you mentioned yourself and that pool in the same context.”

Tami turned out to be absolutely right. Not even a half hour later, like Justin estimated, Kiki’s magazine reading was interrupted by voices echo in the yard. She looked up to see Justin and Britney walking off the deck towards the driveway. They didn’t see her so she didn’t move to say bye or anything. That was until, they stopped at the side of Britney’s car and Kiki saw her reach out to stroke Justin’s arm in what looked to be overly friendly.

“Oh I don’t think so.” Kiki said to herself and practically tossed the magazine aside as she popped out of her seat. Damn being quiet and not making her presence known. She was going to make sure Miss Spears left here knowing exactly who Kiki Lewis was.

Approaching them with a too big to be genuine smile, she called out. “You guys are done already?”

Just as it should have, that hand dropped off of Justin and Kiki felt even more triumphant when she saw all of his attention zero in on her.

“Yeah I gotta go pick up my boys from their father’s.” Britney answered, rolling her eyes annoyingly at Justin in reference to her ex. “Actually I was telling Jay that we should get our kids together for a play date sometime.”

“Sure.” Kiki agreed and moved to Justin’s side. She put her arms around his waist, cuddling into his side and smiled inside when his arm hooked around her in return. “That’d be great. I think Cheyenne would like that. Don’t you babe?” She looked up at him for consensus.

“They’ll probably have a ball.” He replied. “We’ll set something up.”

“Excellent.” Britney beamed. “I’ll see you next Tuesday Jay and it was nice to meet you Kiki.” She moved towards Justin, but quickly rethought that, pausing awkwardly. It was apparent that she was going to hug him goodbye. Tough shit, Kiki thought. He was already in her arms and she wasn’t letting go.

“Yeah you too.” She smiled somewhat smugly.

“Well see you guys later.” Britney slipped on her shades and strode away to climb into her car.

Watching her drive off, Justin kiss the top of Kiki’s head. “You’re bad.”

“How was that bad when I was just making a statement?”

“Which was?”

She shifted to stand chest to chest with him, arms still winding his waist, and said. “She blew it. And you’re all mine now. Forever.”

“Forever huh?” She nodded with her chin on his chest, looking up at him sweetly. “I like that.” He leaned down and crushed their lips together.

“So are you still gonna come swimming with me?”

“Yeah.” He started and she felt his hands creep up her back to her neck. “I think you’re a little overdressed though.” He united the knot there and her bikini top began to droop in the front.

“What are you doing?” She asked facetiously and took her turn removing his t-shirt.

“Cheyenne’s not here, won’t be back for awhile and Rachel moved out. So I think its time we christen the pool.” As he spoke he undid the last tie at the middle of her back and flung the top off to the side somewhere.

“Really? Hm, let me think about that.” She moved her arms to circle his neck and hopped up, crossing her legs behind his back. He held her by her ass and she gave her a heavy kiss. “I think that’s the perfect idea.”

He grinned and carried them off to jump in the deep end.

Soon what was left of their clothes was floating over in a far corner of the pool, which was thoroughly christened that afternoon.
