Member Suggested Challenge

I wanted to highlight this challenge that Penguin Princess posted because I want everyone to see it! If you'd like to play, respond under challenges! Cool Idea!

TimberBaby by PenguinPrincess [Responses - 0] [Report This] Summary: Alright I'm sure everyone knows by now that Silas Randall Timberlake was born. So I want to see some stories about Justin threatened with, facing, or embarking on new fatherhood. Use Jess or your own characters, just make sure Justin and a baby or at least a fetus is involved. Short or long...knock yourself out!

Full Circle

As we take our steps through spring and begin to plan our summers let us think about how far we've come, where we've been, and how ultimately throughout all of the years gone by we have remained connected. It has been a long journey for a lot of us growing up together as dreamers, authors, readers, and just plain old *NSYNC fans. What Vikki, the founder of NF.COM, created was something magical. She found a niche that a lot of us took on as our home. In honor of that, in honor of our favorite men, let as many of us as possible join together in our newest fiction challenge: #FullCircle. See the details under the "Challenges" link. Create a main character whom is a writer/reader that stumbles upon a community, that thrives there, and how her life is transformed by it when an *NSYNCer takes notice. Use your creative license! UNWRITTEN is back online here on NF so make sure to send us a message on http://nsync-fiction.com/unwritten to let us know who you would like to see interviewed for the coming month! STAY *NSYNC!

prisoNSYNC

After a particularly interesting chat one night (you should join us sometime!), we got the idea for this challenge. It's super easy, and you can find the specifics below. You can find it over under the section marked 'Challenges.'

Summary:

Uh Oh! The members of *NSYNC are incarcerated...now what?

Requirements:

x. must include at least *2* members of *NSYNC. (But we encourage you to try and use all 5!)

x. part of the action must take place inside the walls of a prison of some kind

Miscellaneous:

x. be creative. of course, you're authors. this goes without saying. ;-)

x. you can make it long or short, somber or silly. any genre, any rating. as long as a prison is part of the plot, go crazy.

Please take the survey here, and I will be sending out matches tomorrow! surveymonkey.com/s/9PDB88K

Thank you all so much for being patient! I see so many new authors and stories and it's so exciting to see the site buzzing with life again! Talk to you all soon!

Need a beta? Want to be a beta?

Every author needs a little help from time to time. Sometimes it’s someone to bounce ideas off of. Sometimes it’s someone to help with pesky grammatical errors. That’s where beta readers come in.

There’s always been an option in the bio section of the site to indicate if you’re willing to be a beta, but we wanted to streamline the process somewhat. We’ll be keeping a list of contact info for everyone who is willing to beta, and what you can expect from them.

If you're someone who is willing and able to beta for your fellow authors (or even if you're just an avid reader!) please fill out the survey at: (copy/paste the link) https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/B3NNNH9

As always, contact us with any comments or questions!

Rating Your Stories

Hello lovely authors and readers!

I wanted to give everyone a friendly reminder to please check the rating of your stories before you post them. It's so easy to forget (I've done it myself!) but it's really important, especially for those of us who write more adult-oriented content, to have accurate ratings.

When you add a new story, the box to change the rating is right above the box to add 'Chapter Notes.' And if you've forgotten after you've added a story, it's super easy to go in and edit. If you have any questions/comments/concerns, please contact me or any of the admins and we'll be happy to help you.

Awards Now Open

The Season 8 awards are now open for nominations! Please go to http://nsyncfictionawards.wordpress.com/ in order to nominate your favorites for the awards. Please remember to limit each author to 3 categories (with the exception of new author, ultimate author, best reviewer, and best Secret Santa 2014) so we can keep the awards fair for everyone!

Nominations will run from 1/5 to 1/18, and we will start voting 1/19!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

The Valensync Challenge

 photo valensyncchallenge_zps6c976dea.jpeg

Hello everyone!  With Valentines Day quickly approaching, we wanted to try something new and different this year. In the past there have just been generic 'write a story about valentines day' challenges. We thought we would put a twist on it by making it more of a secret santa type thing, with less guidelines. So instead of having a secret santa, you will have a Valentine.  This is a first try so if we are successful we can make this a yearly thing. I hope you will all participate, especially those of you that missed out on the Secret Santa Challenge.

What you will do is pick 3 key words or subjects that you would like included in your story. We have created a survey similar to the one we used for secret santa to make this possible.  For example: cookies, chocolate, teddy bears. Or Breakups, a rebound, rain. Things like that.

Guidelines:

Your story should be no less than 500 words.

Fill out the short survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/9PDB88K

Sign ups will be open from 1/3/15 until 1/24/15. Stories must be posted no later than 3/1/2015 which gives you more than enough time. Remember these don't have to be particularly long, unless you want them to be.

Question? Email us at nsyncfictionarchive@gmail.com

Happy Valensync!
